I am blessed to live through 1960s.. the golden period of Hindi music. All the songs you have demonstrated here, I have listened thousands of times but still cry whenever I listen them even now. particularly "Main yeh soch kar". Rafi Sahab was so malleable, he would become the tool of the music director he was associated with. Be it SD Burman, Naushad, Shankar Jaikishan, LP, RD Burman, Ravi, Chitragupt, Roshan, Sardar Malik.. the list goes on Madan Mohan's songs from film Sharabi - and the song "tu mere samne hai teri zulfein hain khuli" "yeh duniya yeh mehfil" are also great and would make you cry.. Keep up the good work

Beautifully done. The nuances of Mohd. Rafi's unique gaayaki have been emphasised very nicely. It is this gaayaki of Mohd. Rafi, that Manna Dey spoke so highly of.
