This whole conversation came up from Katie Britt responding to the state of the union on behalf of the GOP.

It's not a "put on" voice. Girls are trained to talk this way all the time. This is something she had to unlearn.

YES thank you. I just searched & shared this video thinking they would explain "FUNDY BABY VOICE" to someone who thinks I made it up. Now I'm watching and this lady is explaining her smile while speaking??? 😳 jeeze...

She's voi e coach based in the UK. What would we know about the psychology behind it in the UK? She was just looking at how the speaking style is physically created. That's all.

@@runningfromabear8354 I'm not talking about the woman presenting the video. The blond woman is American and she says that she was raised Mormon.

I def used to use the baby fundie voice. I still tend to fall back into it when talking to men who intimidate me or when i want to convince my brother or dad to do something for me 😅

that’s crazy, when i talk to men who intimidate me i realize i naturally talk in a much lower voice to seem cooler and in school i was always made fun of for it 😬

Well, in Russian culture there are additional voices too. When we talk on the phone to strangers. Or a voice for clients. Or if the person is very shy. Oh, I worked with a girl who always seemed to speak in an unreal voice. It was her voice for clients, children, bosses and general social interaction. Oh, and there's also a polite voice. For taxi drivers, cashier and so on.

I know that this might sound weird to say, but I feel like more people/women used to have this type of voice judging by news stories and true crime TV clips that I've seen from the 60s/70s? Am I wrong in saying that? Maybe it's for the same reason? I feel like I also speak softer, more high pitched and quieter when I'm feeling afraid, about to give someone bad news, or telling someone anytime that I feel might make them mad 😅

In Japanese culture the women are taught to have very little soft voices almost childlike and the men should have more gruff voices.

maybe it's the accent😂 when I try make UK accent my voice getting like a man😂 Because I try to make consonant sounds very hard like stressed. And I make more deeper vowels. When I utter in russian accent my voice is high and like a baby. Probably, by reason of placement. When I raising my placement my voice getting like baby girl again. For some reason the British sound beautiful, but I sound like a man😂 By the way that girl sound amazing like from movie. Maybe it a easy voice, but beautiful, isn't?
