Dimash was offered a position with the Kazakh national opera when he was 20, but this was not the path he wanted. He went on to earn a second degree in Contemporary voice in addition to his degree in Classical voice. He continues to work on a masters degree in Composition despite his busy performance schedule, and he says he will continue through a PhD. He has said that when he retires he wants to teach voice. He is a far and deep thinking young man who constantly strives for improvement.

He is a humble and respectful man. He has a poet and philosopher soul. He is religious but does not share that, as you will find with all Asian entertainers. No paparazzi, no personal information to gossip over. He shares his family like no other entertainer ever has. You'll see pictures of him kneeling and humbling before his audience. We are honored to support him on his journey.

This Song actually has a very uplifiting Message, similar to the American Dream. Here are the Lyrics: Ogni Pietra = Every stone Every stone and every flower Our Earth was created for love We are its children Poets and heroes The life is born and goes and will be forever. You are strong, you know! Be brave! You are strong, you know! You are more powerful than your problems. As fast as a noble heart Catch up with it, embrace it [chorus: the young future] Go! Do not stop in the middle of your path. Brotherhood and Liberty. This world really needs you. Go! Be yourself and be ourselves. You can everything if you want it. Always forward, ever forward, as long as you can! You can! The world turns, although sometimes it makes you cry. Only the love is the answer to the question “Why?”. Your mind is your spirit It will stay with you. You can! You can! You can! Always forward, ever forward, as long as you can! Yes, you can! Yes, you can!

His Trio with Aida and Lara offers a great example of Legato lines...Ti Amo Cosi was performed at Igor's big celebration in Moscow. Dimash adores Lara and she was his female music crush...so now he gets to sing an Operatic love song to her...had to be a special moment for both of them.

Fantastic! Amazing camera angle on is face! He is supremely talented. Dedicated professional in a way that is amazing for such a young man. Great reaction from you and great pointing out by you how he is flattening his tongue and dropping his jaw at the high notes and how relaxed his throat is. He is also, I think, relaxing and lifting his soft palate in the nasopharynx up to let a 'dome effect' for the sound to resonate in. Elongating the back of his mouth into a narrow oval, almost, rather than a wide, low 'dome' for the lower sounds where it appears to me he's using the base of the pharynx/larynx more. Is there something to that and does that make sense to you?

thank you for this reaction, emotions and finally the long-awaited term "soprano"! Tired of all these coaches, ignoramuses, calling all the high notes of Dimash with one single word that they know - "falsetto"! Dimash does not fit into the usual framework of musical classification; he can do anything. Just everything that the vast majority of vocalists know only partially. And the coaches lack knowledge, education and competence to correctly classify even individual moments in the vast range of Dimash. And gender stereotypes are also oppressing many - how is it that a man suddenly “soprano”? Dimash recently said in an interview that he was trained to sing classical soprano! Nature saved him such an opportunity, he really has such a feature - the vocal cords are thicker than ordinary people. He is unique. And this is happiness for all of us! He is - music! It is worth adding that Dimash has a reference jaw in this concert performance!))) This video can be shown to students as an example of correct positioning and the ability to open your mouth!)

Yours is the only one I have so far "liked" - few interruptions, nice use of your hands to show AND explain simply how Dimash achieves what he can do with his voice. Yes, what more can you say. I have never watched or listened to "opera" or that style of music in my life, yet here's a young man that draws you in, bedazzles, enraptures, then captures you for life.

I agree, I too would like to hear him sing in a well known opera, a full opera on stage as a character. All that talent. His popularity could bring Opera to the fore with a young audience of followers. Wishful thinking on our parts.

The even crazier thing is this was part of a huge concert and I think this was the 4th or 5th song he sang whlie running around a very large stage. You know when most singers would add a soft ballad to rest the vocals, nope not him he does a 5 min vocal gymnastics routine that almost spans the range of the piano. God I love this young man, what a bright star in a dark time!!!!

Dimash --- what can any of us say? His operatic style is stunning. He has no peers. His talent appears to be limitless. He is gracious, generous, and giving of himself, and shares his gifts with those in need. It appears the winds have blown him from Kazakhstan to grace the world when we may need him most. There is a video of him warming up in preparation for a performance in which he sings a bit of Queen of the Night if tells you anything about what he could do with any operatic aria.

I hear a lot that this performance is about cheering troops to go to war, and that Dimash is the general. But this performance is all about waking up to our divine Presence/Consciousness. Namaste

Christi, thank you for being a devoted lover of Dimash, I like you believe this young man has only begun his life journey and I think we will hear much more from him as his journey progresses. I think of all the React - ors on KZread, you seem to realize a great voice if you hear one, so Andrea Bocelli is I am sure not unknown to you, but I recently came across a song that he and Chris Botti did called Italia, if you have not heard it yet ... listen to it ( the 5:39 version as opposed to the longer, although if you wish ... the longer is just as fulfilling ) I would like you to tell me if you enjoyed it by doing a Re-act to it. I am a great fan of your channel, keep up the great work.

I was thinking this morning that Dimash may be the Roger Bannister of music. The popular thought in Bannister's day was that no one could physically achieve the 4-minute mile, but once he did, many other runners accomplished it soon thereafter. I'm not suggesting that there are LOTS of people who can replicate what Dimash is doing, but I think he is breaking barriers that other singers will begin to replicate to some degree over the next decade. He's doing the impossible that proves that it IS possible. I think many of us, after listening to such a performance, cannot help but make our own attempt at replicating him -- and most of us sound really stupid in the effort. However, it will be interesting to see how he may change the future of vocal performance.

FUCK the breath , the resonance of the last note was shaking his skull at the very end & his neck viens popped out multiple time while he was belting high in his chest and mixed voice & when he lowered the Mic , there was more reverb . But hey some people still believe we never landed on the moon , and some people still believe the Earth is flat .

@@kolgerrard1964 ,,,,&#+$+_Sorry, I don't speak English, I use the Google translator, but I totally agree, if you can even hear his breathing, lots of echoes, noise from people, and there is a delay in the voice, for those who recorded
