Our angel Angelina is simply the best..

I agree Angelina changes things up on evry song. Different music arrangement she changes word, Says words differently in every song.never Boring. I listened to Dimash several times , Perfect voice great singer, Yet after two or three songs Im done, it sounds perfect but the same, Like a computer generated voice. I can listen to angelina 24/7 and never get tired of her voice. Her runs,her rasp, her emomions,her humming somtimes to fill in the spaces, Shes ver creative for such a young singer. I think from her listening to all the Jazz greats as a three year old has put her on a different levcel than any singer on the planet, Yet shes humble and doesnt get caught up in the hollywierd B.S. I agree with you Angelina keeps everything basically very simple ! Three piece band in this video and her singing through a nice jazzy arrangement ! This is Angelina's natural genre for sure ! Her jazzy inflections with her rasp, vocal fry and wonderful vibrato are inherently in her DNA ! Her breathy overtones are second to none ! Angelina since she was 8 has garnered nothing but the very best musicians accompanying her ! Let's face it with her talent they all want to be a part of the production I guarantee that ! She can sing acapella and blow you away , she can sing with just a guitar or piano and sound magnificent or she can sing with a live full band or even orchestra and be centre stage eveytime ! She commands that attention through her gorgeous vocals ! The amazing thing about Angelina is that she can sing many genres and switch naturally from one to another so flawlessly it's uncanny ! I like a simple accompaniment the best with just a piano or guitar because her voice really shines through ! I believe it's her tremendous storytelling ability through her vocal dynamics that attracts and grabs the listeners attention immediately ! When Angelina sings you feel something every time ! I personally think she makes me feel love because it's who she is as a person ! So humble, sincere, compassionate and caring that just makes you love her ! When AJ sings all you want is to hear more and more from her ! Once she touches your soul she will be forever entwined in your heart ! You will become an angel and will protect her like she was family ! Most older viewers will tell you she is like a child, or granddaughter of their own ! She had a full-time band, hired just after she won Norway's Got Talent at age 8. At that same time her Dad's Brother, Michael Astar, became her agent and manager. "I Put A Spell On You" was one of the first studio recordings with her whole band. At that same time as that band was hired in Norway, she, with family, hired the two young men guitarists to accompany her on many of her early covers. Ivan Mendez and Egil Clausen, I believe. She recently said that she hoped to perform again with those two sometime in the future. That would be really Kool! After she moved to LA, I am not sure of her accompanying arrangements. I am sure that Rob Christie has had that covered. We know that he is the go to on the piano for sure. Being Head of Studio Productions for Republic Records, he has made sure that only the best recording situations are always in play. Such as location and equipment. After all we are seeing the career of the greatest female vocalist to ever live unfold! I also think that comparisons to other vocalists are out the window at this stage of her career. She is simply incomparable. She has eclipsed them all. There has never been another with the talents of this young lady. She is a gift to us all.

All the home made covers on her channel are exploring expeditions into different genres and voices. Also about a decade ago since she was an amateur on stage.

I used to say Angelina was born with a mike in her hand. Now i believe it was her journal and a mixing board. ( Her poor mom, lol)

"A new sound to an existing sound". Yes, Angelina has always had that gift. When she sings old numbers she somehow makes them new again, as if you're hearing them for the first time. It's an amazing gift, especially to us oldies who remember the originals.

You can see how we have been able to listen for years and not get bored. Because we are privileged to watch her journey, learning her craft we witness her flexing her vocals. It is like an every changing kaleidoscope. I thought your explanation was excellent. I would add to it though. The more you listen and understand the endless palette of her vocal abilities, the more you understand how very restrained she is. How particular her choices are. She does not show off. You never get to see her shove the whole vocal lexicon into one song. Her choices serve the emotion and lyrics. It is not about Angelina trotting out every trill or demonstrating that she can belt or how high or low she can sing. No she is a true artist.

Yes this is her original song (at 15) & the only musician I know in this is the pianist/guitarist, Rob Christie, a 2-time Grammy winner & studio director for Republic Records in LA. He's on most of her videos as the pianist, since she signed with RR at 14 yo. The other musicians & the back-up singer, I've never seen before. I think her record label is providing whatever she wants or needs, since they say she is their highest priority artist. Several legendary musicians have come to LA specifically to meet Angelina. They've all said she is one of the greatest vocalist they've come across in their long careers. I'm pretty sure we are going to hear some of those musicians on her upcoming 5-song EP this month & on the full LP album released this fall. You still have 2 years to go before you get current with her.

Yes, some of those legendary musicians we could witness live at her Christmas concert one and a half years ago: e.g. Chuck Berghofer, double bass player for Frank Sinatra; Jimmy Zavola, Etta James' saxophonist; Greg Field, the drummer of Ray Charles and Ella Fitzgerald; Shelly Berg who accompanied Aretha Franklin on the piano... to name a few. That concert was really special. It would be awesome if Angelina did more collaborations.

As you say about simplicity.. the ultimate goal for a musician is making the silence speak. She even uses the sound she makes when she catch the air as a ressource to deliver passion. It's not just wise, it's music everywhere.

This is my favorite video for this song. I like her backup singer. She has sung with an orchestra but often it’s a single musician. Suspicious Minds she has a piano with a gentle touch and she plays guitar, but not too much. What you said about being new each time. I’ve been following for a few years except not much recently. Listening to older favorites when I hear it anew it’s like she matured while I wasn’t able to listen and sounds older. Lovin’ You. Ten or eleven then but now she sounds older. What magic this feminine being wields.

Listening to Angelina is #7th heaven!

Our 'Persian Princess' presents an old form of jazz that goes back to the late 30's - 40's and was called 'Swing'. My mom would go to Roseland Ballroom in NYC on Saturday nights to dance and listen to 'The Big Bands' that played there. When the orchestra took a break, a female soloist would take the stage with a few remaining musicians and do songs like this. She would take it down a notch from the faster versions the full orchestra would do in their presentations of 'Swing' music.

Its great to watch your reaction of Angalina ive been following her and listining to almost all her songs and she has a old soul inside he that is out of this world the last performance that i saw was at the 2023 FIFA soccer awards where she sang with Red One named we are the best its hard to find the complete video but if you enter 2023 FIFA awards and scroll farward you can see it she is amazing and she should have been the winner of americas got tallent and i think the reason why is because she refused to sighn a deal with Simon Cowell all three performances where the best thanks again for your sincere reaction to in my opinion the best female vocalist ive ever heard

AJ’s “Dancing Cheek to Cheek” rehearsal video starts with “Heaven, I am in Heaven…” and I just melt into a puddle. I play that first 5 seconds repeatedly. The way she sings the word “Heaven”, like in this video is just, well, heavenly. It’s a simple word but no one sings it better - it just resonates. That video shows how she can look like she is just a playful kid before the music starts and then immediately transforms herself INTO the music. Watch her hand gestures. Even when she makes a mistake it’s endearing. Add “Dancing Cheek to Cheek” to your musty do play list.

I agree. I have also watched her grow from a little girl singing Fly Me to the Moon. I feel like some singer leave a piece of their vocal DNA in the songs they sing. Even if they are remaking/ covering an old song. Perhaps that’s why when we hear her sing this is feels we have always known it. She was born this way too. Her ear for intricate notes and interesting runs formed as a baby listening to music. In my opinion there is nobody like her in my lifetime ( almost 60 years).

AJ has had a 6th sense about music, technique, phrasing, and meanings/feelings in music since a tiny child....it's a Gift like an artist painting a picture with the True, Natural colors and Shades and emotions. Just something you can't deny.....

AJ was probably not in her peak condition during that recording, but you know yourself how it is in a studio, time is money, it's very costly to record a song and film the performance, even more so if you have live musicians. You can't start over and over again, I guess they did a few takes (or perhaps 1 take only?) and left it at that. They also did not auto tune AJ's voice, so what you see here is true musicianship, even though not perfect.

INSPIRING. Everything about Angelina inspires me. We all need to be reminded to never give up hope while chasing our dreams. She sings "Don't give up, cause it's right in front of your eyes". Most often, the answers to seemingly difficult questions, are simple and right in front of us. We only need to 'see' them. I live with HOPE, that someday, all music reactors will be awesome cheerleaders and advocates for each artist they feature and will educate viewers how to best support both the artist and their own reaction channel. Maybe copyright holders would ease their claims.

This girl had her pick of every major label, surely they are going to put some major marketing behind her album

Dylan Meek plays the bass in the official music video, the bass player in this studio recording is someone else (a black guy, more stable and with a short haircut - doesn't look like Dylan at all)

It’s Angelina’s upbeat message to follow your heart and your goals. Even though it’s an original, Angelina honors the jazzy roots with the first notes and that stand up bass that take us back unquestionably to the 50’s and Peggy Lee’s iconic song, Fever. Angelina’s vocal are so fluid and easy, making this infectious jazz/blues combination completely accessible to every age. You wonder how she can give us such amazing music that’s so different and so original every time? You just weren’t paying attention when the Angels told you she’s the girl with a thousand voices. Wonderful reaction! It's a big contrast: the sweet young innocent girl, with such passion and professionalism! I guess musicians understand better what it takes to be that good. Those runs you talked about, the little tasteful embellishments take a lot of practice to master! She works hard obviously. But it's not a punishment for her! She loves to sing and to share love by doing that!

She’s a singer’s singer. her new single, original and produced by her record company. Not a cover shes giving us her truest self without mimicking the original version. Her own voice is rich and expressive in every syllable and the timing is perfect

The one constant musician with Angelina is Rob Christie (piano and guitar on this video). The base player on her other 7th Heaven video can be seen playing on her "What is Life" video. This video released in 2021was her second original piece released by Republic Records. The back up singers make this my favorite 7th Heaven rendition. The band performing with Angelina on her 2022 Norway concert tour can be seen with her in several videos.
