Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪.. Your comments were spot on and it felt like every time you paused you said everything I was thinking including the Elvis bit. I thought it was just me thinking that

The guy singing lead isn’t the usual singer in this band. The backing vocalist (the guy on keys 🎹) takes lead in every other song of theirs.

For the qualification he was injured so he couldn’t sing hence why the other guy took it on so they could carry on and because he had sang in the qualifiers he had to carry on

This song reminds me of the 90's! I don't know if it's the lyrics or the melody but everytime I ear it I'm taking back to those glorious years! Now...for Eurovision, it's like you said. It needs a little bit of work! Otherwise it can go bad, easily. But well, they got the time for work on those little flaws.

I like your critique. It was honest and fair and I totally agree with you on the backing vocals. They need to get rid of them completely.

The person on piano usually sings but he has a shoulder injury and I think Conor was the one who loved Eurovision and wanted to do it

Love Norway s song

They really need a great staging otherwise they might not even qualify

If Latvia send Raum with 'Fake Love', this song will get overshadowed in the first Semi Final. If Slovenia's Joker Out qualifies alongside this, it will TANK in the final. But I don't see this in the final anyway. Maybe they will be the opening act in Semi Final 1. That would probably make the most impact tbh.

I wish you would have been able to react to Connolly instead. She was a much better entry for Ireland - but alas, we are stuck with this generic boy band banger.

Wasn't my pick to win but they did well on the night...apart of me is thinking thus is about their journey to make it into the industry and now they are here at eurovision fronting it for their country

His vocals are woeful and the backing vocal is shocking.

Great song with a great message but i think the vocals do need to be worked on a bit more i just hope people vote for us give us a chance it could go down really well on the Eurovision stage

Conor the guy who is singing here is not the lead singer David who is at the piano is the lead singer but i see he has a plaster and sling on his arm, So I'm not sure if they changed because of his arm or will they change back for the contest,

Fair assessment Georgia. It's not terrible but it's just OK.

The vocalist has an incredible voice & a look like Elvis. I love the song's first part but wasn't expect with that lyrics. Am afraid this nice vocal could be threatened with the recent winner of Italy's Sanremo 2023. This year Italy is sending again Marco Mengoni, the master of the voice.

I think the “when we go down” is relating to the sun and the fact night comes so we “get down” sort of thing. At least that’s what I’m getting. That being said if they lose the girls and tighten up those vocals this has the potential to win I feel. The song itself is a perfect winner. It just needs the performance.

I think the backing singers won’t be at the Eurovision - it will be a backing track

I'm Irish and I'm really disappointed with our entry 😔 The melody is painfully generic and the lyrics are cringe. I can't see this getting to the final unless a miracle happens and they somehow pull off an amazing performance. As it is now though, it's not memorable enough.

In my opinion the backing vocals should be abonded.

It's a good song, but the vocals in this performance are just not up to scratch, and it sounds like the music drowns them out. This will really need stepping up a few levels to even have a chance of qualifying atm, but I hope they pull it off

Great assessment from Georgina I agree that the backing singers one is very flat and very obviously so I hate to say this but the band would probably be better without the girls as it's too messy musically a lot going on and a clash of voices they don't add anything to the song and it would be clean and clearer It's a catchy anthem like song which when tweaked may reach the semi finals and probably do ok in the final if they do qualify It does need a bit of tweaking and polish though

You can tell this song was specifically written in the way THEY THOUGHT a Eurovision song should be. The lyrics are so corny, cringy, and inauthentic which is a shame because this band has good songs. They should have just written a song authentic to them and submitted it, not a song written specifically for Eurovision. It's usually a bad idea to do that, especially if you have a warped idea of what a Eurovision song should sound like

I completely agree - lyrically it's not too different from Love Shine a Light but far less interesting musically and this is obviously 2023 not 1997!

Will go through. Defo needs work. Sounds like a variety of bands I've heard but can't put my finger on it. Not keen on lyrics. Is catchy.

6:46 - You can be damn sure is not gonna be a winner. Even a qualifier from semi 1.

it is...a song. the lyrics are atrocious & the melody has been rammed into a wall since 2010 when this type of songs started emerging

U2’s bass….not impressed

I think this could fail to qualify - it just feels too cheesy and unoriginal, albeit easy on the ears. This would probably earn a few points from the UK but alas we aren't voting in Ireland's semi-final this year. Then again, Brooke probably got her 12 televote points last year because she appeared on the Voice UK and would have been known to UK audiences.

Ireland will never win the Eurovision again and the only reason the Ukraine won was because of the war because the song was rubbish. There was better songs and acts on the late late that night. The Eurovision is gone, fonished
