After having performed several shows actually Floor asked Tuomas why there were pre-recorded vocals in that part of the song because it felt to her that was something the vocalist should sing. Tuomas full hardheartedly agreed with her and said it was intended to be sung live but Anette was unable to do that. Floor's response was something like "I am not Anette i am Floor i can do this". After which Tuomas responded "I will take it out immediately and knock yourself out". I guess that is one of the reasons why they love her. :-)

100% agree. I've been to various Nightwish concerts over the years and I've never seen Tuomas as happy while performing as when Floor joined the band, except for maybe in their very early years with Tarja. I'm glad they've found renewed enthusiasm. But then, Jukka has always attacked the drums like the pirate he is.

Floor added a good bit to the end compared to the original recording to include that bit where she goes an octave higher as it is all recorded choir on the original.

I think I said this in a prior reaction, but, will say again... it's very cool and quite unique watching your reactions! That's because you *actually perform* NW's material. You know better than most what it takes to sing and perform these pieces, the subtleties, nuances & stylistic choices to be made. I love it!!!! Please keep 'em coming, and I bet NOBODY minds if you sing along a little.

I'd honestly say that he's probably the greatest of all time, in terms of sound and technique. Kai is just as good, technically, but a comparison reveals minute details that put Jukka over the top. Biggest reason is his heart and emotion -- NEVER have I seen a drummer throw himself into his music as much as Jukka. Never. Put it this way: If Tuomas is the Mind of NW, and Floor is the Voice, then Jukka is the Beating Heart. Because he is that damn good -- and all you need to hear is Dark Chest of Wonders and Ever Dream.

That made him the most awesome drummer I've personally enjoyed to watch. I've seen many skilled drummers, but drummers who live the music they play - none is like Jukka was.

@@Mubiki : You might think that, but I never will. There are only two drummers I would ever consider watching a band play, just to see them, and they are Scott Buchanan (Unleash the Archers) and Ivan from Ignea. Even then -- I would still watch Jukka play, even over them. Most drummers are so concentrated on being technical, they miss out on other ways to be unique -- but Jukka is unique because he puts just as much emotion into his playing as Floor does singing. All you have to see to know that, is watch Dark Chest of Wonders and Ever Dream from the Wacken 2013 concert, and you see how much the man loved bringing the noise to a crowd. And when you know you're good, you bring it that much more. And Jukka, more than any other drummer, did that.

I love listening to this song when I am in my SUV driving around. Well...I have the two CDs from the Decades live from Buenos Aries loaded in my CD so I can listen to it all the time! Elvann .... you have a great voice! I love listening to you!

Floor doesn't "walk" on stage - she either prowls or slinks. 😜

Ever Dream and Storytime, back to back songs of that legendary setlist. Unbelievable. "Couldn't believe what I was hearing!" moments I had when I watched it for the first time. Again, unbelievable.

O MY GOD. Floor lifts up the whole band. Look at the Happy faces and with what a enthousiasm the band plays. They are all fired up.

Imo Floor brings so much more energy and emotions to their songs.And her stage presence is Graceful yet dramatic and mesmerizing.She commands the stage.

You look like you're having such a good time reacting to this song...it makes for a more enjoyable watching experience for me, and probably your subscribers as well. Your smile is infectious...you are so adorable! This is a a high energy catchy song too...I like it a lot. Cheers!

I'm a big fan of nightwish and and a huuuuge fan of Floor. When she sings it does something with me that I can't explain. ( Emotions roller-coaster). It's been a hard time for me past month. My mom passed away 1 Dec. And this is the last video we watched together so it's special for me now so I just keep coming back. We always shared music we loved. When I hear floor here voice doesn't matter which song. It comforts me I guess. Angel voice❤️❤️

I saw Nightwish is confirmed for Sweden Rock Festival in june 2020 so I guess they will be doing festivals next summer... Oh my... I wish I could afford to see them at every festival LOL Surely they will perform in Finland, have you heard/seen anything about that? Will you try to see them live next year?

I have seen Nightwish four times live and 10.4.2020 they will have "secret consert" in Oulu when they publish new album. Yes, I live near that band and they have had GREAT EXCELENT concerts here. My opinion is that band is the best in that planet, it's not just music but art.

Of course you should keep on doing these! Now for the obligatory classic metal sugestion, when you want to see how to sing a very fast song, look up Aces High (Flight 666) by Iron Maiden. Blows your mind. Another reason I keep bringing up Bruce Dickinson, Eric Adams or Dio is that their larger than life stage presences are the male version of Floor.

I know Ghost Love Score and Greatest Show etc. are considered greater works of art, but this song really shows off Floor at her most majestic.The sheer power she generates for this entire song is mind-blowing. As you said, she just put the pedal to the metal from the start, and didn't let up. The transitions between belting and operatic head voice -- insane! No wonder Tuomas is grinning like he stole everyone's lunch. Great reaction, and the lip synching is not a problem, we understand!

Lovely reaction as always. Yes this live version from Wacken was unexpected, it was so good and blew me away when the first time I watched it.

This is "Floor" version, the operatic part at the middle break is done by a choir on the original album version, the former singer could not do that part,, the band was Floored(pun intended) when she and Tuomas added it in for her to sing.

I recommend you try also version from Tampere 2015. And compare them. Trust me, worth it.

Well, I love Floor, she's amazing. I'm a huge fan. But I guess we all have to admit that the only greater thing in this performance is the drum playing of Jukka. He is something else. His energy is unbelievable. Huge, huge respect, man. Another thing I really love about this video is those three girls in the front row. I love the way they're enjoying themselves, singing along, headbanging, smiling. They're soooo cute. amazing song, amazing performance. Thanks a lot for this one Elvann.

Kai is amazing but I miss Jukka. His drumming is the kind that makes you feel ready for battle, perfect for the Nightwish army.

Finally!! I was wondering already why you didn't do this one... This made me feel so much better, thank you! And didn't Annette skip the high parts altogether?

You get to sing along as there are Elvann versions of these songs as well!! I'm pretty sure we are all singing along in our heads as well haha!

Finally a vocal coach that can actually perform the songs she is reviewing, and when Elvann pauses the video she doesn't take all day to make her point. Side Note: Elvann has some facial similarities with Floor, but smaller and more delicate - she could be Floor's baby sister. Elvann lso has a cool name like Floor does.

Hello from a fellow Canadian! :D (Although I'm from BC, not Quebec.) I have a couple of reaction suggestions for you: A new Finnish Christmas song called "Sielulintu" by JP Leppäluoto (There's only an audio track for it, though), and/or "Dance With The Dragon" by Dark Sarah (feat. the aforementioned JP). JP has a very rich, dark baritone voice, and Heidi (from Dark Sarah) has a really beautiful classical voice. I think you'd enjoy both of them. :)

It's also in the film "Imaginaerum by Nightwish" A bit dark but worth a look! I'm pretty sure the Nightwish army completely understands singing along! Have you seen GLS in B.A.? Loved this reaction and enjoyed your lip sync and hand gestures throughout the song. Now we have to get you to start windmilling with Floor, you know your subs want to see that!!!! This is a real rock anthem song and your insight is dead on. I also love how you show just how difficult it is sometimes to sing these songs and thus have even more appreciation for Floor's performances as she makes it seem natural but clearly a lot of thought and work goes into each song. I think it's amazing how well Floor covers songs done by either Anette or Tarja. Her range is awesome. Her interpretation is great. Having said that, Tuomas wrote songs for whoever was the lead singer of the band at the time. I prefer Anette's interpretation.

Annette's is the decaf version, to me. She doesn't have the vocal range or stage presence Floor has.
