Beth's smile when she likes a band is one of those genuine moments you seriously can't buy, and so contagious.
Every girl's mouth drops when seeing young Sebastian Bach for the first time
An absolutely effortless voice that cuts glass. He's such a natural performer right down to the well timed hair-flips. He's the real life version of who we all thought we were singing alone in front of our mirrors. (I'm speaking to you all.) But he's really doing it at Wembley-frickin-stadium...and he's like 18 years old. sick.

Skid Row was my first tape i ever bought. I was 13 and 18 and life started my road to rock then metal.
I saw Soundgarden open for Skid Row in 1991. Sebastian and Cornell at the same concert. Glad I got to see two of the greatest rock voices of the 80s and 90s at the same time.
A lot of those '80s hair metal bands were surprisingly talented. I'm glad you noticed the backup singing. No matter how good the lead singer is, if a couple other guys in the band have pipes it always makes it exponentially better.

I'm 16 years old again every time i listen to my old favs Skid row. Thanks Beth and please do some more videos on these guys.
Sebastian Bach is a force to be reckoned with. Sebastian is a total badass vocalist. This is back when music and vocalists were raw and real. It was the BEST time to grow up. I wouldn't change a thing. If people think this is great they need to hear him when he is NAILING those notes and trust me he most definitely can. The 80s was like one big party. These guys partied hard and created musical masterpieces. Rock on !! 🤘🤘🤘🤘 Oh And the tribute to yet ANOTHER GREAT band he nodded at the very end. Tesla's LOVE SONG. Check them out as well. Freakin killer!
In his prime Sebastian Bach was incredible. The three Skid Row albums with him were great, I had them on heavy rotation back then and still listen to them from time to time. Also B-Side Ourselves, where they've covered classics by The Ramones, Kiss, Rush, Jimi Hendrix and Judas Priest. The latter is one of the best duets ever, with Sebastian Bach and Rob Halford pushing each other. There's live recordings where you can see both having fun and how eager Sebastian was to go toe to toe with Rob, vocally. Pure metal greatness

Listen eg to kicking and screaming, it rocks. IMHO he should record the guitars and basses with proper amps and not processors. Funk auto-tune. But that applies to nearly all the newer stuff.

I know back in the day I wrote them off without giving them a chance because of how their record company marketed them. They (the business people) tried to force them into the same formula they were using for every hard rock band in the late 80s: release two heavy singles and then a ballad, then get MTV to put the ballad in heavy rotation. Rinse, repeat, feed the machine, drive it into the ground until fans get sick of it. Later I heard lots of metal fans I respect speak highly of Skid Row and figured out I missed out on something.

Sebastian Bach had the voice of a male angel. There was no one better.

I've watched this clip so many times. So good.
always loved his vocal performance on “livin on a chain gang” from the Slave to the Grind album....pretty much the first 2 albums how some of the best vocals by any hard rock singer of that era
I was able to see them in concert in 90, awesome show! My ears are still hurting! But in the best of ways! Love you Beth!! 🥰🥰
Thank you,Beth!
Enjoy your journey into Skid Row. You should know, they went way hard, which I personally love. The Slave to the Grind album was them turning it up to 100. Skid Row - Monkey Business -- Skid Row, during the previous album and the Slave to the Grind album, were on top. They didn't need to run second fiddle to anyone, as far as quality of music. They didn't last long, as many great bands. But it's a moment in time and they were doing it very, very well.

9:15 he is out of air,i can feel it just how he is bending forward to line up his diaphragm correctly, the lean forward open the diaphragm and relaxes it lol my vocal coach taught me that as well.
The funny thing is he is messing around and really not giving everything because he knows he doesn't have to and having fun with it.

@Jay Bee No, he didn't hit all the notes. But even hammered, Bach could still hit the notes if he wanted to. But, as it was towards the END of a tour, he may have also toned it down to save his voice too. Truth is that, yes, he may have had better performances, but this one didn't suck and even hammered, he still sang amazingly great. At the end of any tour, artists start having fun because they know it's almost over. Pretty sure there were other performances Baz gave that he was just as hammered and sang just as well. He was clearly having fun and he was messing around.

Sebastian had the tenor AND the baritone all in one 6'4" lanky package. ALL of their material (his singing) in their original lineup career was "subhuman" 😉🤘

One of my favorite ballads of all time. I'm 53 years old now but when I was younger I sang and played guitar. I was "ok" at it. I always wanted to be able to do the vibrato but could never achieve it consistently or not at all. I have often wondered if someone that cannot sing that high and can't work the vibrato if taking singing lessons can actually teach someone to do both. Loved seeing you watch this. I was waiting the entire song for the end when he screams the course at its highest. On the album there is no breaks or intake of breath on that part. It's all one long ass breath that seems to go on for ever and ever.
The best vocalist and song of the 80's
