I agree - I've listened to her back to back with Mariah Carey, and she beats her. She has such a warm tone, with total control and perfect pitch, and the ability to add little riffs so subtle and beautiful - no one can match her.

Only Morissette can do a whistle with a run like that. Not even Mariah or Dimash.The note is what exactly Danielle described it as Morissette note and my opinion it will live on forever to be remembered by music people. Everyone seems to forget her cover of "I love You, Goodbye." That's a very emotional performance. She's almost crying there. I would like to see that again.

What's happening to you is what happened to many of us when we discovered Morissette on YT. Just when we thought we've heard it all then comes a bomb to floor you to pieces. The best thing here is that we can prove her brilliance by going back in her years on YT to follow the development of her vocal talent. what's amazing was that she didn't win any of those competition she was participating in back in the days. But I guess those drawbacks made her stronger and determined to strive for her best and, by the Grace of God, rewarded her with the most versatile and unique voice ever (at least that's the case for me). I think she's probably by now the most scrutinized/analyzed voice on YT for a female artist simply because she is unbelievably so good that it's too good to be true. She slayed almost all the best songs by the best female artists out there. Many of her cover versions are clearly better than the originals. The icing on the cake for me, which is also the reason I like her so much is her humility and modesty. No skimpy outfit, no jumping around on stage in her underwear to manipulate my interest, just appropriate attire and make-up that's not overly done, and a winning and likeable smiling face as she belts out the sweetest sound that hit your heart and your soul to shed a tear, or get you smiling and tapping away like the last song in this video.

If you react to Naririnig Mo Ba, remember to turn on the subtitles. For that song, it isn't just her voice that sells it, it is the incredible amount of emotion she puts into it. And to sell emotion, you need to have an understanding of what she is saying and why she is getting so emotional.
