TRANSLATION: I had a dream, a dreadful vision, I even feel it now, I relive it for the thousandth time I don't know why, I really don't know why can't I overstep. Refrain: (Believe me, I have seen war, Stars were burning and everything turned dark, Prayers stamped down, and only broken hugs were left behind. I have seen laughs in terrible places, Celestial visions on places destroyed by gunfire. How many sobbings, treasured huggings, We have been there, you and I. I saw myself with a heart of war zone. Fights of heavenly armies for my soul, Loud cryings, liefed huggings, We have been there, you and I.) A dream... I saw flames, The fateless lifes, the stolen dreams of children. The muteness devours the footsteps of the whispering quiet hope. There're no words for describing this agony, Even a whole life is too short for understanding life. Look around and see; Maybe you lived in nightmare. *Refrain* See how the sky shines on you, and its tears falls on you, Fly up woth the angels, and don't blind your soul! See what you don't want to; live, how you live in me. Do not rip up the scars of the past, and do nothide your tears! *refrain* PS: Sorry, the translation somewhere is really not artistic, but it's hard to translate hungarian sentences. But the meaning of the text is this.

Lyrics: I had a dream, a horrible vision. I feel now also that hundreth time experience. I don't know why, really I don't know, why don't I crossed? Believe me, I see the war. Stars burned up and the darkness cloudy on every. Trampled prayers; a broken, destroyed embrace stayed only on his trace. I saw a laugh on terrible places, Celestial apparition shot to pieces on the square, How much sobbed, feared for an embrace, We were there, You and I. I saw myself, my heart is battlefield. Celestial armies' fight for my soul, loud sobbed, crying embraced, We were there, You and I. A dream... I saw the flames, The Fatelessness lives, the abducted children's dreams. The dumbness swallows the quiet step of a whispering hope. There are no words to describe this suffering, The life to understand a life also little! Look around and see it! Maybe that you live on the nightmare long ago! See it, onto you the sky glitters as this tears is falling! Get on with the angels, and your soul, don't be blinded by! See what you wouldn't like: live as you live in me You don't tear open the wounds of the past, and don't cover your tear! Caramel is one of my favorite Hungarian singers, his vocal abilities are amazing, this live performance proves it best, excellent. U.i. legyünk már kedvesebbek egymáshoz 🙏

Yeah, he's a classic. Good job Beth in decyphering this one :) I love Caramel, his songs are sooo deep and sung like that, it's really a bliss to listen to. You should have a try to one of his studio recordings too. Live is very nice and shows definitely things people can not fake in a studio, but I feel quite a lot of subtleness was lost in the mixing. It's pretty darn difficult to mix such a live performance with so many players and vocalists. They all did a fantastic job there by the way. So many different styles, such an amazing precision.

Hi. I think Caramel is the most talented singer and artist in this small Central European country for over a decade. And he is a very nice person too, with very great musical humility. He came from one of the slums of the country with his own song ( I fly with the song ), in the Megastar. Which was a talent research contest for Hungary in 2005... which he has won! So far, he has released 7 studio albums, of which three are platinum LP and one is double platinum LP. And he has received numerous music awards too. He has given live music concerts three times, in front of 12000 fans in the country's largest arena. In this video features his 15th year anniversary concert featuring a 50 people symphony orchestraI. I really hope for someone coming soon and giving him the opportunity to become internationally known. Then the rest of the world will have the opportunity to put his songs in the hearts of music lovers people like the Hungarians. Because he already deserves it...

So here's the thing: I'm hungarian, but I'm not here because this is a hungarian song, but simply because I kind of got addicted to Beth's videos long ago. Why? Dunno. I don't sing. I have nothing to do with this whole thing. I'm just a simple human being generally interested in music I guess. And it's hard not to like Beth, who's always positive, always enthusiastic, well, you know, you're watching the same thing! To this specific case: I did not see this coming, what a coincidence. And for you, who read this for no good reason: have a lovely day! :)

Caramel is like what you said: he wants to show everything. Always. He is a fantastic talent, world class singer and songwriter. Sadly, he doesn't have the sense of holding his talent back and building an arch in his music and singing. He starts at the maximum and his throws everything at you, he decorates every single tone and cannot sing a straight sound. He cannot see that, his beautiful runs would sound way better if he gave us a little break between them. So in the end you get the "ok fantastic, but somehow too much" feeling. This symphonic version of his song is just an other station of breakless megalomania in his career, looks like he is more and more in love with his own voice and shouts "I am fantastic, can you all hear it?". I always wished him to calm down and believe that everyone knows he is incredible, he doesn't have to grab our heads and smash his talent into our faces every second he sings. He could be a real world class star if he would learn finally how to use his incredible talent in a more sane and balanced way.

As a Hungarian and a musican and I can tell you with out a doubt, that if Caramel would sing in english in the same way, he is world wide class act. He is writing his songs and play them on piano and he can't read sheet music. It just come naturally from him and in this level it is a big sign of pure talent. Also he is a super nice guy in real life, belive it or not, shy and don't belive him self to this day. A kind soul with a - bc of he is a gypsy come from a segregate school, where they don't mix the hungarians with "them". Even he is a bigstar in our country, you can stop him for a photo and he will talk to you too and he will feeling as like you are the one, who give the privilege for him.

It was good to listen to your video. I love how the love of singing is visible on your face, can be heard in your comments. Caramel is a very good singer, but I think in his case less is more. Hey, Beth, I was wondering how much of the pop music in foreign countries is based on the traditional music of that particular land. For example, early American Rock can be derived from Southern Gospel, Blues (Guitar riffs are often similar, just more up tempo.), and Rockabilly. Eric Clapton and his 60s group, Cream, took such Blues standards as Crossroads, Born Under a Bad Sign, and Sunshine of Your Love and put their own mark on them.

Here is the lyrics in english : I had a dream, a horrible vision. See it, onto you the sky glitters as this tears is falling! Get on with the angels, and your soul, don't be blinded by! See what you wouldn't like: live as you live in me You don't tear open the wounds of the past, and don't cover your tear! I saw a laugh on terrible places, Celestial apparition shot to pieces on the square, How much sobbed, feared for an embrace, We were there, You and I.

Traditional Hungarian music (e.g. the oldest folk songs that have been preserved) is actually often strictly pentatonic with no semitones. Newer folk music is on a diatonic scale, so pretty standard as in other European music. I think it's likely his "little runs" are more influenced by jazz and r'n'b than something local
