Band called Lionfish, 2 solo albums Heart-Shaped Scar & Suburban Sprawl and Alcohol, not as successful as she'd hoped so the next 10 years or so she wrote songs for other singers, then attracted the public's attention again when her song Into the Wild was used in a credit card commercial.

She is humorous in a non-pretentious way, just a super cool chick! Her voice is so recognizable, too unforgettable and nurtures and invokes authenticity. I feel like I've known her my whole life which is what authentic people make you feel like. She has put an extra skip in my step and has made me want to learn how to whistle! I was at Austin City Limits several years ago and I was walking from one stage to another and I hear this sound that caused me to walk around a rock outcrop to a side stage where she has, luckily it turns out, just started her set. I immediately went to the merch tent and bought the live album from East/West Studios. Her cover of Halo on Live at East/West Studios is amazing...well, that whole show is amazing but I love Halo.
