“I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well, maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2016. However, despite not being able to walk for a few weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and try to practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…we are all specks of dust…Also, thank you for all your support. It means a lot. I have suffered from anxiety from the past and self-confidence, (yeah hard to see now right) didn’t think I was ‘good, or worthy enough’ but I feel I have a new lease of life, don’t really care as much and want to show you guys what I have! : ) You are all awesome and without you, there would be no channel.

I saw her in concert and I was actually shocked. I always heard that she was terrible live and I’ve been a huge fan for years. It was such a magical experience, she makes up for her lack of “dancing” for how beautiful her voice is and remnants of past ‘crooners’. Even my dad and uncle enjoyed it.

people constantly say how bad her voice is... but if you notice the ones who say that generally listen to pure pop and autotune. They don't understand that this sort of tone is hard to achieve as nobody cares about it anymore. Lana is so unique because of the fact that she embraces her voice, it has taken her years for her music to be accepted. Now that rappers have taken the "melodic" approach to rap yet havent exactly...learnt singing? They do use it. I guess it's a generation thing. People don't mind autotune coz it's more of the lyrics speaking now but still..i believe autotune is alright. But if an artists isnt confident enough to sing without autotune then they should probably spend more time perfecting their singing than progressively usie more autotune. Thank you! Another trained musician who appreciates Lana's voice! I see to often comments decrying her, saying she can't sing. I'm just find that notion crazy. I think it is the mix of power and fragility in her vocal timbre, she really likes to lean in on the shimmering vibrato quality sometimes, particularly at emotionally poignant moments. Due to the undulating nature of vibrato I can see why that would give some the impression of poor tuning. Her deliberate slurring of words can also be a lot to take, but I think it all just adds to the richness, expressiveness, and narrative nature of her voice. It's as if see is trying to portray a lost girl through her voice, going out all night drinking, putting on a front of strength, but really there is a fragile and hurt woman underneath. The L.A. Noire aspect of her voice only adds more to the uncanny sense of longing and nostalgia in her voice. I get that all from just the quality of her voice, so she must be doing something right!
