Tara's point was- you can sing it funny- doing the note as a "yell",with the right technique yell singing is fine,but he did it with poor technique that can actually cause damage to the vocal cords.

Benjamin Lundbäck She fully understood it was a joke. Her point was there are ways to do it correctly. He could still have made that joke without doing something that has the potential to permanently damage his vocal chords.

Jimmy's vocal strain at that point in the medley was on purpose. It was part of the shtick. If you watch it with out the pause, you'll see it was to intro Let It Go in a funny way.

FUN FACT: Kristen was the first one to be casted to Frozen! As a Frozen fan, i have to say it: the entire cast is amazing!

Kristen Bell was in the original Frozen as well... she the only person that has played Anna (except for toddler and kid during Do you Want to Build a Snowman)

i remember seeing kristen play an opera singer on parks and rec!! she sounded so good haha

Remember Me is actually a lovely song from Coco. I recently finally watched it on Netflix, and really loved it. It's such a touching song and made me cry a little bit as it made me think of my mother. Coco is a Disney cartoon that doesn't get enough attention in my opinion.

I could swear that I saw an interview with Kristen Bell a couple/few years before she did Frozen (1) where she claimed she couldn't sing. I was so surprised when the first soundtrack came out and I found out she actually sang her own part and sounded so awesome. I don't know if I imagined the interview or if she got singing lessons, but I agree, she's perfect for that role. (And she sounded so much like Jodi Benson in "Part of Your World" -- that was really impressive and beautiful.) As for Jimmy… hey, go easy! He was clearly doing those bad parts intentionally, though I understand your concern for the actual physical health of his vocal cords. Some of the other parts he did were trying to mimic the voices in the originals -- and he did a really good job of that, IMO. "You've Got a Friend in Me", "Remember Me", Peabo Bryson in the pop version of "Beauty and the Beast", and Elton John in the pop version of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight". Honestly, a very impressive repertoire of voices he can copy.

I love it! I can do a mean Jim Morrison! A former girlfriend who was a Doors fanatic use to love me singing those songs. Barry White is another I can nail. Yes I have a deep baratone/bass. People still recognize me just by my speaking voice. Didn't know I had such a distinctive vocal sound that someone I hadn't seen in 20 years could know who I was from the next isle over in a Best Buy! LOL

I have always dreamed to be a singer. I always admire singers since i was 4. I always tried to copy them when im taking a bath. But no one ever supported me. I always loved to sing but when someone else hears me, they say something like stop that you're just noisy. It hurts so much to see my dream being this far. Everyone always expects me to be like an Engineer or an architect someday and pressure me to do good at academics. It took so much of my time to the point that i forgot how sing or how i sounded. Maybe, it isn't just for me. Maybe I'm really not for it. Sad to say I have to face the reality that I cannot achieve my dream since I'm only a 16 year old boy who has no money and has no one to support him. Even though, I want to say thank you Tara. Thank you very much for encouraging me and everyone of us that we can do it. I really felt it. Thank you.
