I really really REALLY love it when people who sing this song angrily shout out "GETS" for "when she's bruised and GETS used". I know the climax of the song is really a little bit past that, but that's the moment that I always start crying and it hits the emotional crux for me. AND HE DOES IT ALL SO SO SO WELL.

His cover made me think oft a new story for the song: A man loses his wife who was pregnant and the baby survived. He doesn't want the baby at first, all he wants is his wife back. This is basically this song. Oh and he could be a baker ( I'm not a native speaker so sorry for my bad grammar)

Jeremy Jordan has a fantastic voice and he's really good actor, but I find his "She Used to Be Mine" just a tad too studied and over-egged for my taste. Jessie Mueller and Alison Luff perform two of the best versions. But the one that's stayed with me ever since I first heard it is this one by Adrian Matthew: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZGmllZmoodLHZdY.html There's a simple honesty in this kid's singing that just gets into your heart and starts doing damage. He is one of the very few singers who can make you believe what he sings and feel like he meant for every word....a very good performer...

I'm really obsessed with the little riff on the word "lonely" each time. It's so quiet but the riff is so fluid.

There are exactly three musical/theatre songs I listen to, when I am sad: 1. Monster (Frozen) 2. She used to be mine (Waitress) 3. I‘m not that girl (Wicked) Since I always listen to these songs, when I’m sad, I just opened a can of buried Emotions. I for sure cried.

I first heard Jeremy Jordan when he voiced the character of Varian in Tangled the series. I fell in love with his singing voice just there and the more I learned, the more I was captivated. This man is an amazing singer and I want to listen to anything he sings ! I'm glad to see it's not only my case XD

Agreed! I didn't like Will Roland's voice at first but he has noticeably improved and now I like it. I like seeing that a lot. He's gotten so far since Dear Evan Hansen.

We must protect Jeremy Jordan at all costs! His voice is just phenomenal 😍

I tear up almost every time whenever I listen to this. He's such a great actor.

From my perspective, when I sing this song (the way he sings it but not nearly as good) I always think of it in the view of who I was before I got depressed. Cause the me before depression was so much more different and I feel this song fits really well in that perspective.

If I could perform this song even an inkling as effortlessly as Jeremy Jordan could, I would feel so lucky. I love this performance so much and it gives me goosebumps every single time. Also, highly recommend you listen to Alison Luft’s take on the song. It’s so good. There is a performance that is more legal that you can react to but the ones done on stage during the show are absolutely magical. Of course, most people wouldn’t (really, shouldn’t, technically, but some still do) share videos with broadway “slime tutorials” featured, so I understand if you choose not to do so. But I recommend still listening to those and watching them at least and talking about them!

Taylor Swift's song All Too Well is known in the fandom for its AMAZING storytelling (her storytelling is one of the biggest strengths she has as a songwriter in my opinion), I'd love to see you react to the song, whether it be a recording or live performance (her Grammys performance of it is quite well known)! The lyrics always bring a tear to my eye, and I'd love to see your commentary on how her vocal performance aids in this aspect. As always, love your work!!

I totally agree with you on the storytelling. Jeremy understands more than anyone else I have ever seen in the industry, that singing is so much more than just being a vocalist, it's telling a story with the inflection in your voice and the vocal cry and vibrato and facial expressions and body movements and where you choose to take your breath and 100 other things. This is why he is so captivating. The lyrics come alive when he is performing. Other people just sing the lyrics. Most people just worry about hitting the right notes and perfect pitch and he worries about delivering the message the lyrics are telling and trying to make the audience feel the emotions the author was feeling.
