Floor's voice makes me think of being guided by a comforting angel amongst a raging storm, like a mother singing a soothing lullaby to her ailing child. I think this is why she is perfect for Nightwish as the music seems to be a juxtaposition to her voice.

That's the best statement I've ever heard! Lol!

Every single person was expecting her to strong-arm and belt this one. Restraint is a very difficult tactic to use when you're a powerhouse, so she continued to amaze us all with the delicate performance.

I think I'm allergic to Floor Jansen. She keeps making my eyes water.

She was talking with the band on what version she should do, and they chose for the more intimate and small version. I’ve seen a lot of reaction videos on this song and they all want to hear Floor belt out the high notes. But I think this version is so good. She has an insane vocal range. Thanks for reacting to this song

More importantly, Floor has one of the greatest emotional expression ranges to grace a stage in the last 20 years. She can do what she wants, it will sound good and it will resonate with the audience because she is a world class musician and has top notch control of her instrument.

"i didn't expect that" - it's amazing how Floor always manages to surprise us, even when we know what she capable of. to see a powerful voice going so delicate is heart-touching

You forgot something: never assume where Floor is concerned. If it is any help, she changed the text and therefore the meaning of the lyrics. It was directed towards Emma, a girl in her twenties. Basically telling her, from her perception working in the same field, what to expect. Ah well.

She did the same song as a duet with Tim where she does the vocals much bigger. One of the performances I really hope you take a look at from Beste Zangers is Floor's rendition of either I don't know a thing about love or Que se siente. Both of those performances are fascinating because Floor changes her vocal configuration vritually continuiously in both. She's changing her tambre almost every three or four words at points. It's super cool.

She’s just something else, her range and ability to glide from one style, tone and everything she’s able to do is just amazing!!

It was surprised me when the first time I watched it tbo. the way she was able to make this popular song sounds more emotional with her voice texture, expression, body language, it just amaze me. this is the sweet and light version but still powerful at the same time.

I think it was the perfect choice. It suits the song to be more intimate. Like a warm hug. And also to, as you said, show how versatile she is. Because in this show she had at this point established she could belt out a song in multiple genres / styles of singing. I really liked that you whispered in the first verse. Like you didn't want to disturb Floors light singing. :D About you pausing the videos: Keep doing it or else the KZread copyright police will come and get you.

If you like to watch Floor belting with power take a look on "Que Se Siente" and "Winner", both from the same show.

Basically anytime Floor opened her mouth, pure gold came out.

Goosebumps! Such a talent to be able to go from a stadium filling belter to this intimate soft yet powerful performance.... Love it!!!!!!

Floor is simply just one of those singers that emerges once in a lifetime.. so so talented and yet so humble behind it all. I'm always struck by how she reacted to the crowd at the end of that now infamous performance of Ghost Love Score, after her final Floorgasmic note.. she bent her head in a gracious acknowledgement to the crowds reaction, but immediately pointed towards the band, as if to say "these are the ones that deserve your applause".. how can not love and adore her?! ☺️❤️❤️

She's like a calm river but can be washed away because of the depths ... which we don't expect with the power inside...thank you so much Elvann nice reaction...:)

Floor can sing any song, in whatever style (or language) she chooses..... and make it better than the original....

that's the nice thing of this show.. it's always a surprise

She did the "original" version with Tim in duet in the last night show....must react!

Sometimes people think that do high notes all the time will always be better, but be able to sing in this way and make people feel emotions that is a true singer! And that does Floor an amazing singer she bring people emotions , even when she sing in a heavy way or not 👍🤘

Completely agreed with this. High notes really do not make a singer. They are ear candies but they are not what feeds the voice.

Because of this we love Floor, her musical range is outstanding, oh no fenomenal. Make no different you ask her to sign everything she tough sounds wonderful. But we have another great singer who sings in a other style and even also very versatile as Floor Look at Glennis Grace and for you inspiration look at The Ladies of Soul 2019. Enjoy

i've watched a fair number of vocal coaches react to this. i've been waiting for one to comment on the impeccable distortion on "watch as i dive in", here 5:10 you are the first to comment on it and your reaction was much the same as mine. during full clear mix voice one line perfectly distorted then straight back to the clear mix. wow. for the non-singers reading this, that's IM-PRESS-IVE.

Floor - The master/mistress of delivering covers with such an original take, she makes every performance her own. Bravo, and great reaction, good insight! \m/

It's pretty simple: Make any list of the top popular vocalists in the world--Beyonce, Adele, Katie Perry, Taylor Swift, Mariah Carey, Patsy Cline, Gaga...add 100 more if you like. Floor can sing anything they've done and will usually do it better. Not one of them could even attempt what she does every time she steps on the stage with Nightwish. There's no one like her.

5:10 “oh my God! Did you hear that?” Yes, I do. I gotta tell you. I have seem all the reactions of this presentation on KZread and you are the only that mentioned that “...i’m diving.” It was really awesome.

I drive long haul and this song was on repeat for a while on my way out of Los Angeles this morning 😉 Definitely check out Floor’s performance of About Love I Don’t Know a Thing, but have tissues ready because you’ll need them 😁 Also, I haven’t seen hardly any reactions to Henk Poort’s performance of The Sound of Silence. He sang it for Floor during this show and I think he melted her a bit 😎 Thanks again and please keep doing these videos - You’re awesome 👍

What a SURPRISE! Hahaha! And such a lovely performance.

The best thing about this version is the fact that it’s subtle and *doesnt* go balls to the wall. Much prefer this version to the duet version for that reason.

Floor is our Dutch vocal virtuoso. So proud of her.

And again, nice emotions, very lovely and kind reaction and i can see clearly that you like music and of course floor and her music. Enjoyed it a lot.

Before this show, hardly anyone knew Floor in the Netherlands. After the show, her concerts in January with Henk as a special guest were sold out within shortest time and even an extra concert was sold out within hours.

You did well with the cursor ;) And it was great to hear you expecting a belting version, knowing what was to come :)

Once again an excellent evaluation of Floor's talent. Investigate the other artists this season, such wonderful entertainment.

She did this song twice, one time in a tiny fragile version (solo) which gave us a very beautiful rendition, and she did it once again on duet night, with Tim Akkerman, in the original version. I love both versions equally, both have something special to me. What i liked most this season, other than ofc the beautiful music are the reactions of the other singers, Rolf (the guy with eyes closed you pointed out int eh beginning) he's contagious, he's absolutely in awe of Floors voice and skills, and more often than not, you can see him in complete disbelieve, staring at Floor with a face of "how the ... what the... how!!" he's such a fun guy. Floor sang this for Emma, the cute young girl in red, and she did a beautiful version of Vivo per lei, together with Henk Poort, and i highly recommend that video as well. All these singers had truly beautiful songs this season, if you have not yet, i suggest checking out episode one of "Beste Zangers" uploaded by Denise Hofs, as its the introduction episode, and you'll get a bit of an idea of what the show is about, and who the others are. (it only gets better after episode one i might add, not suggesting its not a good episode, it is, it just gets better :P) Ty for the reaction Elvann :)

You should go ahead and check out all of her performances from this show. Versatility and amazing across the board. Be sure to get the story for "Winner" before watching it. The story and performance will pierce your heart.

Didn't have time earlier, but she sings it to Tim Ackerman, the original artist. He wrote the song to his brother who has used a wheelchair his whole life. Earlier in the show, he mentions that he can't/never cries anymore, he even named his last album Lions Don't Cry. Now go and react to it.

I really enjoy these videos, keep up the great work! You should also check out Floor beste zanger "Que Se Siente" where she sings in a language she doesn't know, still making it sound authentic. Plus another vocal style we rarely ever see from her.

Amazing your 5:10. You were really mindfully listening. Great musical sensitivity in you.

Vilja Lied is in my top lied as it's one of my favorite arias! I've actually performed in "The Merry Widow" back when I was studying! Was such a fun one!

When you want to hear what a voice she has, try some songs of Nightwish. Like ghost river, romanticide or last ride of the day.

Oh crikey - Amanda is the only singer who could possibly compete with Floor for my exceptions - except for Clementine Delauney of Visions Of Atlantis. You could try them both with Exit Eden "Paparazzi".

Thank you Elvann. I like this version, because there are plenty of covers with singers trying to out-do Lady Gaga. Floor did something completely different.

If it was under the Phantom of the Opera reaction than I'm guessing people were actually asking for you to react to the duet version of "Shallow" with Tim from the same episode and not for this solo version she did several episodes earlier.

She kept this performance small on purpose. Later in the duet episode she did a duet of Shallow with Tim Akkerman where she puts a lot more power into it. Other powerful performance are Que Se Siente and Winner, both from Beste Zangers too.

Those changes is musical scale are impressive. You also need to react to Emma Heesters - Strong. She sings this to Floor on the show.

I love your reaction videos. You should check out her other performances on this show they are all superb. Please, please keep up the videos :) On another note been checking out your album and love it to bits, your should come to UK and do some concerts. Would love to see you.

Yeah you should just react to all of Floor's songs on Beste Zangers. Besides Phantom, my personal favorites are Mama and I Don't Know a Thing About Love. I like listening to them in order, especially to see how the reactions of the other singers change through out the episodes.
