There's a reason so many regard Floor as the best singer in the world. It's not just the sheer insane power her voice is capable of or the ridiculous high notes. Nor is it because she can growl as well. But it's that she can do all of that AND sing like this. She can do everything at such a ridiculous high level plus add such emotion to it all as well. Oh and she can do a multitude of other styles as well including the likes of jazz. She's in a league of her own.

agree with you. technics, high notes and voice effect of the dead isn't really singing. Vocal and technic demonstration isn't singing (yes, talking about Dism****). you sing with your heart to send emotions. you sing to save your soul like a french singer said.

Her sweetness and humility. I think it's the most endearing thing about her.

When you realize that everyone there are professional singers, and their jaws were open too.

It's totally worth it to check out Floor's other songs of that show. Especially her versions of "Winner" and "Que se siente"! And Emma really is much more than just the pretty girl here. When she sang for Floor she really made her tear up. The entire show is really so nice and wholesome in a way. They don't make it a competition but just some cool people singing for each other.

Floor admits she is a sensitive person. You can't be a great artist without being sensitive.

prior to this show, Emma was a KZreadr, who sang covers, with over a million subscribers. after this, she got signed to her first record deal. one of the reasons we call Floor the Queen, is she would never call herself that.

You know you're damn good when you can make other professional musicians tear up at will. Floor is a goddess!

I agree with you, Floor is very humble person after I have watched some of her story time videos and Floor Finds plus chatting with her fans. She is not stuck up celebrity!

@@lekalla In that song she absolutely channelled the feelings of the songs of such singers as Tammy Wynette or Loretta Lynn, which was quite interesting considering that Ruben's original wasn't like that. It was so convincing that if she had born different time and continent she could have been one of the greatest female country singers. It just shows that she could have done anything and for sure I'm grateful for her choice of metal.

Most vocalists sing what they can, Floor sings whatever she wants, and can hit #1 in any style - this actually hit #1 in the Netherlands iTunes chart the week after the show was aired. To have such amazing abilities and still retain such a down-to-earth, friendly and pleasant personality is what makes Floor extra special. She could sing the Tibetan phone book in Bulgarian (pick a genre - any genre) and I'd be mesmerised!

Floor has easily become my favorite vocalist. It doesn't matter what she sings, she gives me goosebumps. Keep up with the awesome reactions! Love you guys!

For me Floor has a great understanding of what the storytelling of a song needs. She says she's a high sensitive person, and therefore senses moods and feelings very strongly. This is a part of her what makes her such a great singer, she clearly connects emotionally to music and lyrics and can deliver them with such genuinity. Bigger is not always better and sometimes you have to let the song do the talking. It's not about showing off your skills (or what people understand as skills = belting high), it's about what it makes you feel. Floor's singing never feels like an act and that's what makes her truly special. Plus the understanding of changing the dynamics and building up songs. The changes she makes are sometimes subtle but that's what makes it feel real. It's not changing from one extreme (except, well, sometimes, when needed 😅)to the other but rather sliding in and out of things. Great example is Dead Boy's Poem from Buenos Aires, def worth checking out. Fantastic performance by Floor and Nightwish.

Floor is amazing such a range of music from growly metal to this song to opera and in multiple languages. And yes, such a nice person also. Thanks for the reaction.

This was a terrific program and Floor sang in a variety of styles. As a side note all of the people there are professional singers and well known in the Netherlands and they all sing each other's music. Floor was the ringer, the unknown, because remarkable metal music receives little attention and only two of then knew of her. Her renditions of Rolf Sanchez's "Que se siente" and her duet with Henk Poort of "Phantom of the Opera" were the highlights for me.

What this show confirmed for me was that Floor could've been a megastar singing in basically any genre and she chose metal because that's what she likes. Key takeaways: 1) We are REALLY fortunate to have her! 2) She is the real deal, didn't sell out what she liked to do for a potentially far more lucrative career elsewhere!

It's ridiculous, Floor can sing absolutely anything, not well, extraordinarily brilliant. BTW, if you want to hear her sing something with a "countryish" sound, listen to her sing "I don't know a thing about love" from the same program.

When you have supreme control over technique, all that's left is to choose how you are going to sing for the right emotional effect. Floor seems to consider every note so carefully.

Same show, watch her sing "Winner!" Fantastic!

Lovely show, as it wasn't a competition - just great singers performing for, and learning more about eachother.

First off Suzy Q you look very glamorous tonight this is a beautiful version by floor she is a gift sent by the music gods I am 61and I have never heard a voice like hers she can sing anything great reaction as always do the phantom of the opera from the same show it will blow your socks off BOOM !

I can't be the only one who needs a daily dose of Floor in some way or another. I find myself going straight to youtube and search new reactions or just music from Nightwish EVERY DAY. It's like a drug, a fix I can not do without.

Good stuff. In the last show she does a duet with Tim Ackerman of this song. Tim also does a version of Nemo when its Floor's turn to sit in the hot seat. This show was amazing and all these singers were crazy good. Shout out to Jenniezelf for the subtitled versions she put out there.

It had to be SOooo hard to rein in her powerful voice! I love this version! All of Floor's songs on the Beste Zangers are fantastic!

"Floor Jansen, the swiss army knife of singing!" She can do it all! Even growl! (Yours is an empty hope -Wembley just saying!) She also did a duet with Tim Ackermann of Shallow more like the original but awsome too!

Emma is hella talented, but I do prefer the original recording of Floor, though now, yes, Emma does it better than Floor can, because Floor breaks down when singing it. Last of Floor's attempts I've seen was nice but she got trembles near the end, and at the end she sniffled that she almost got through it.

@@EnglishLad Yeah, that's what I'm talking about! The fact that she had to hold herself for that song shows how good she is. People go crazy when Gaga sings the high notes in Shallow, but it was a walk in the park to Floor.

Every reaction i have watched i am always like, just wait for the high notes, the reactions at that point are priceless

I'm glad you used the jenniezelf video, she does a an intro outro, translation. she got a shedload of flak from from the tv company. but she only provided translation. puts a lot into a song, you get the gist of why they all doing it as they take turns and the meaning.. if you do more, find her vids first. Great Reaction Emma, who she singing to. Does one of floors own beautifully for floor.

Floor are dutch, living in Sweden and speaks Swedish as if she was born here, sings in english in a finnish band. She speaks at least 4 langusges Thats impressing. Another super talented vocalist are Daniel Heiman in Lost Horizon, listen the song Highlander or Welcome Back and you will know what I mean.

Beste zangers is amazing in general, u have to check their performance from 2019. There is a lot of content by Floor, Emma, Henk and more. I really loved "Strong" from Emma. Or "Sound of silence" from Henk. He did a little surprise to Floor that day. U need pay atention to the details, u gonna love it.

The song Mama always makes me cry.

Man do we miss this show!!!!!! First, we get to see the humble non-diva personality of Floor who is just a caring and empathetic person who really wanted to do a song for each artist to honor their work. Second we were stunned even as fans as she sang other genres (well outside her comfort zone) and did them in various languages. Saturday night was the best waiting for Floor to just take the emotional roller coaster hammer week in and week out and leave everyone just speechless!!! Check out all of her songs on this show to see the diversity of talent she has but also to see her as the sweetest, nicest and caring Non-Diva dispite her talent level!!!

Beste Zangers translates to Best Singers. They can all sing on this show. It’s a singing reality show.

Have you ever sat in a 1968 Pontiac GTO with 350 hp under the hood, and the driver is only going 25mph, and you can feel all that power in reserve, just waiting to explode? That is Floor's version of Shallow.

Versatility doesn’t begin to describe the feel and nuance she brings to every song she performs. She takes ownership and elevates all to new levels.

There is another version of this on the same show, floor and Tim as a duet. I do recommend that one.

This show is to get the artist out of their comfort zone and that is for many years allready proven to be a very strong concept.

Actually, Henk nodded when they asked if any of them knew of her, and Tim Ackerman had come across her on the festival circuit, so a few professionals and fans did already know Floor, but this show is certainly responsible for making Floor Jansen a household name in The Netherlands.

@@Nights-Watcher Actually, Henk had been following her career - it transpired that they were unknowingly huge fans of each other - hence the clear chemistry in their outstanding performance of "Phantom of The Opera".

8:10 Rolf Sanchez in general,had the best facial expressions reacting to Floor singing from the couch. Wich reminds me,i dont think you have seen her as a senorita yet,singing in spanish (Floor said she doesnt even speak Spanish on the daily) to Rolf. Lets just say that he doesnt become a pokerface,as i dont want to spoil stuff for you. That just ruins reactions alltogether.

Floor is the best singer PERIOD

Emma Heesters made quite a fist of Floor's song "Strong" (rarely performed, since Floor has problems getting to the end of it). You might enjoy it, even it's not channel focus.

7:43 When Suzi has a hunch on what is about to happen. Floor allways made Emma jawdrop or just get all out excited when she finally experienced Floor sing. But i never saw her as happy as when Floor did this song personally for her. Sadly,Emma didnt have any huge backing before this show,so she only had cover songs on her repertoar. But she used this show as valuable exposure for her debut album that was briefly in progress while this show was recorded. Just wait until the tables are turned,and Emma decided she wanted to make something really special for Floor. "Strong" is my strongest (no puns intended) favourite and performance from that show. You should also check out Emmas James Brown cover "Sex Machine" in wich i seem to remember she did for Henk Poort. Her microphone control is flawless,to a point where people have questioned if shes using playback/singback. But she has been practicing this doing covers on YT for years and years,so shes the real deal for sure. Only thing that felt out of her comfort zone was being on this show,as it was her first official tv show. She felt really nervous and "out of place" in front of the show. But once she grabs a hold on that mic and the music starts playing,shes a entirely different person. She even does a duet with Henk Poort wich is absolutely amazing. So i can assure you both,she has a versatile,strong and beautiful voice!

What wont do for Floor: Good, perfect, phenomenal. What comes close: Unprecedentedly worked over, setting new marks.

S & T....Thank you for this. I tear up every time. To think before this TV show very few people ( not any more ) in Holland knew who Floor was. Pop music rules her country, very little metal. If she walked down the street in Helsinki or Berlin a crowd would follow her. In Amsterdam hardly any attention from the locals. Those days are gone ! Happy for her, she deserves the fuss.

Not the first time Floor sang a Lady Gaga song. There is a video of Floor singing a metal version of Bad romance with her old band ReVamp. It is worth a look^^
