I strongly feel that about Cornelia street and Daylight too!

The “build” behind The Archer is supposed to make you feel the anxiety she’s singing about - that pit in your gut that builds when you’re anxious. I think it doesn’t actually speed up at all it just feels like it does. It’s intentionally slightly unsettling. It’s genius!

I agree. the song builds up and then the last couple of seconds she says “ready for combat”and then it’s sounds like she let go of the arrow. With head phones on you hear a low pitch string reverberate.

Agree! I also think not having to do choreography gives her more lung capacity too. I feel like she can belt better doing acoustic

Cornelia Street is in my top 10 fave TS songs. The acoustic version is heavenly and one of her best performances vocally.

What I like about the Lover era is this is her first original masters album. Plus it’s her first album to talk about political issues and making her own business decisions making her own powerful business woman.

Cornelia Street and False God are my #1 and #2 songs off of Lover.

8:00 Keep in mind this was after Reputation, so she had lost a lot of her "calm" when writing that and she was full-blown wild by the time Lover came around.

This version of Cornelia Street blows the standard studio version out of the water. My cousin got Cornelia Street in this format as a surprise song at her Eras show and said she was fully in tears from it because she remembered how a bunch of people went and left flowers and little trinkets on the actual Cornelia Street right after the breakup with Joe happened as a sort of "mourning". It was a whole thing

Daylight was one of my surprise songs last year, it was her piano song, and it was stunningly beautiful to witness. That was after seeing Dear John as her guitar song, it was crazy.
