Nope, it was playback. Even if you have listened to the studio version of song they can record another one and play it during performance. I am not her hater, and I can't say that she can't sing, but it was pre-record

You do realise for lip syncs they record it in the studio and edit it, it’s never the same as the original release

that extra voice you hear in the chorus is her brother who’s playing piano! he’s called finneas and he’s incredible. he wrote this with her, he also produced the entirety of her EP and debut album, and helped write a lot of the songs too. they do it in his bedroom with no other writers involved. they actually wrote this in 3 days, and she recorded all the vocals in the bunk of a tour bus in texas last year!

The background vocals are actually her brother finneas, not a track! He does produce and write songs for billie and with her. They would produce songs in her bedroom and he is also such a talented singer as well as writer!

At 6:30 when she said she’s got a back up voice and it’s her own voice and the band is playing to the track was wrong it is Finneas doing her back ups as always. Totally Live

Yeah, I found it so stirring when she went from one to the other, like it was an outpouring of emotion.

Billie is hope for the younger generations, showing that you dont have to sell your art by selling out or stripping on stage. Billie and Finneas make music at home, in their room so it also gives hope to people who start up at home. Sure, their mom is an actress so they might have gotten a bit more coverage at the start BUT the fact they sound so unique and are so relatable is why people love them. Billie is someone people should look up to. :)

Billie and Lorde are both backed by the largest parent label in the world, UMG. I don't believe either one of them had the talent to "make it to the top" without the millions of dollars spent on publicity by UMG.

You can tell by throat movements and breathing alone that it isn't syncing in my opinion. Plus she's done enough live performances for us all to know she sounds amazing and as good as recorded

She is absolutely live. And the vocal help in the choruses is coming from her brother. A true piece of blood harmony fusing the voices perfectly. And thank you for acknowledging johnny Marr - his contribution was quiet, but vital. And you are right about poor Jack - way out of his comfort zone.

Billie was my favorite hands down. She commented in an interview that she was nervous about this performance with Johnny Marr and Hans Zimmer and a full orchestral accompaniment for her first live performance of this piece. If that is Billie being nervous, she hides it well. I thought she owned that stage and the audience.

My teenagers are always listening to Billie and they frequently laugh when I say 'OOH I like that 'Bad Man' song' (apparently, it's Bad Guy). I said to them both 'are you coming to watch the Brit's with your old mum?' and they said 'no we'll watch the highlights' .....They heard Billie's song and came in the lounge to see my reaction - I was sniffling and crying...just beautiful!

There's no backing track on this, the harmonies are sung by her brother Finneas, who you should listen to. His album Blood Harmony is brilliant and really different from the stuff he does with Billie. He cowrites, produces, and records most of the instrumentals and backing vocals for all of her stuff. And what he doesn't do, she does.

It’s crazy to think how far she’s come in quite a short time. Billie is an incredibly talented young lady with such a beautiful distinct voice. I’ve been a fan of her since ocean eyes and to see her now on the Brit awards singing the new song for the freaking James Bond movie is crazy major props to her, very excited to see where her musical talents will take her

I absolutely adore her vocals. The whispering sound in the verses, the lower range notes that are often pretty difficult for women to do, and the higher notes towards the end... It's all so amazing and she's so young too. Her singing is beautiful, and I think she sounds better singing live than in her recorded songs. Maybe it's because you can really hear the emotions and the force in her voice. She could definitely sing more vocally demanding songs if she'd want to, but I like the style she's going with now too. Reminds me a bit of Lana Del Rey, whom I also love so, so much!

The fact people think she is lip syncing just proves how good this girl is 👌🏼

not trying to sound mean or anything but you can clearly see Finneas harmonizing with her

The "extra voice" isn't a track. It's her brother Finneas playing on the piano adding the extra vocal layer. Anyone who thinks she's lip syncing is just stupid. There's nothing about this performance that's been pre-recorded. You have Hans Zimmer directing the live orchestra and Johnny Marr on the electric guitar, and you can hear her inhale her breath in perfect unison with her mannerisms. Besides, lip syncing and auto tune are anathema to who she is. But of course there are always going to be trolls who have to find something to bring someone down.

Yep, that bugged me as well! You're not going to bring Johnny Marr and bleedin' Hans Zimmer (the soundtrack-composer for "No Time to Die") and his orchestra on stage, to play along a backing track! (-_-) smh All the nonsense brought up by idiots about wispering (while she actually hits the notes flawlessly), her using autotune (she only does sometimes to create a certain sound within a song), "oh it sounds like the the "studio"-recording, so it *has* to be lipsynched!" (No, it's actually slightly different and even better imho!) This girl can *actually* sing!

The best aspect of Billie's performance is that she really tells the story of the song/film. You feel the emotions. BTW the famous film composer Hans Zimmer is on the keyboards.

This is mesmerizing 🤩 And it’s NOT lipsyncing - she’s just THIS good! 🙌🏼 She has a unique voice although it’s not shown off as the most powerful one. Like you said, she’s all about the music & she’s crazy emotive. There are few who are able to convey emotions like she does. A true artist! 🤩

You're absolutely right. Special energy and so otherwordly. Billie is quite an excellent and convincing "actress" as well. A real joy to listen to.

She is *not* lip syncing... her breath is heavier and more spontaneous, and there are changes in the way she sung parts, too. (For example compare her belt to the original - it is normally sung from high to low, but in this live she went from low, up to high and back down.)

Regardless of whether she is or not, those things don't verify anything unfortunately. You don't sing along to the album version when you lip sync or the more widely used singing with a backing track. You record a grittier "live" recording with changes you expect to hear during a live performance. Also there's so many live effects that can be added it gets hard to distinguish what's going on if the vocals aren't 100% clean. Either way none of that really matters if you put on a great performance, which she did. I am still hoping soon she belts it out in a more stripped down live performance of this song.

Yes. I'm a semi-pro singer and I thought it was a bit strange Georgina said that; she would know the difference. Well, I'd hope so... Billie isn't lip-synching, believe me; there may be a backing track to help but that isn't the same thing.

Billie's musicality reminds me a lot of Loreen, it's very intimate. While there is not actually lip syncing, I feel that a lot of people fall victim to this suspicion because the mic quality is so pristine and clean. Honestly the sound quality of this performance is phenomenal, but I wouldn't have expected anything else for a person who sings in this particular style. The amount of reverb used is also polishing it. Also, while Billie can belt, she isn't a belter. It's just not a signature part of her instrument, but the soft, intimate sound most certainly is... And singing "quietly", as some people put it, requires just as much technique as belting does. There are many belters that have to work extra hard at singing softly for the same reasons. Everyone has their own unique sound, and they all have their strengths and weaknesses respectively.

It's just a stunningly good vocal. The slides are heavenly. No lipsynch, she's far too absorbed in the delivery, and as others have said her brother Finneas is on piano giving excellent vocal accompaniment.

yall need to understand that singing is not Belting B5's and G#5's, singing is more than belting and whistling ok? i hope yall get it, its great when ppl can belt rly high like Ariana but Billie have amazing harmonies and style, her low register is incredible. stop hating the girl cuz atleast shes there slaying and making her life worth.

Billie eilish pretty good??? She's absolutely amazing!! She's other worldly. Her voice is so controlled and soft it's like silk. I'm a huge fan if you can't tell 🤣

how could it be lip syncing? We can literally hear her breath on the mic as she inhales. She was nervous because it was the first time performing this song live and you can tell by her breathing even tho it didn't affect the performance. I don't think she lip syncs ever actually, not her style at all, but she always is amazing. I've seen her live also in concert and Yeah she is really that good.

Billie was obviously not lip syncing.It sounds similar because on the actual audio there’s no autotune or vocal correction or whatever.It‘s just her mind blowing voice.Also,you can hear that there is a difference between how she sang it in the audio and on the love performence,for example at the so called „3:21 Part“ of NoTimeToDie which is the climaxe.She sings the i of die longer than in the audio.Also you can always hear her deep breathing.

I didn't liked billie at first cause i thought her singing was boring and quiet but dude,i realized that it's the thing that makes her different from others. Billie proved here that she can belt and use her chest voice but she stays using her falsetto on her songs which is her style and i love it. You'd also need control to execute those vibratos in falsetto.

That second vocalist is her brother Finneas not her.

A lot of the people who say Billie whispers haven't heard her older songs. I can tell some differences between her performance and the recording so she wasn't lipsyncing. I'm a new Billie fan and I like all her music. Her brother is a really good singer too.
