Vocal Coach Reacts To BEATBOX! D LOW - 'Sing A Little Harmony'
Ойын-сауық
In this video, I react for the first time to beatboxer D-LOW performing 'Sing A Little Harmony'. In this video, I analyse his amazing performance, explain and demonstrate their vocal techniques and I'll tell you what I think made it so great.
This was one of the most requested beatbox performances on the channel and rightly so! Incredible display of musicality, rhythm, songwriting and composition!

D Low is phenomenal, we had the privilege of him judging and performing live at the Irish Beatbox Championships only a few months ago. Fantastic person and great talent, would highly recommend checking out more from him as he regularly puts out great music and videos. FYI we need to get you to a beatbox event some time!
The sound you found so fascinating is called "vocalized tongue bass" Its produced by rolling the tip of your tongue and harmonizing it with your voice. Really enjoying your beatbox reactions! I think you would love Gene Shinozaki. I recommend "Daily Beats #8 | Journey" its a lesser known video of him, but his chord structure and musicality overall is just from another planet.

D-Low's something of a beatbox legend at this point. He judges more competitions than he competes in now, as he hasn't lost a competition in years. This was absolutely adorable to see, and I can't wait for the next one. I'll also second what others are saying, in that if you could have a video where you and D-Low both get to talk about your specialties, that would be amazing. As for more beatbox videos, I'll recommend it again, as it's still among the best tracks I've heard from the beatbox community: Title: If Only Produced by: Hiss Performed by: Hiss, Alexinho, River, and Colaps (a veritable plethora of beatboxing skill)

You are the beatbox break down goddess! You have to be one hell of a vocal coach. I can't believe you without beatboxing can mimick some of these beatbox techniques. Mind blown!!!!
This was delightful, and as always you picked up on so many interesting details. D-low definitely has lots of other kinds of wizardry in his other performances to discover. Really hope the D-low FVM collab happens eventually, though it might be too much vocal knowledge in one place for the universe to handle.
I've been watching beatboxing and loopstation routines and breakdowns for years, and honestly yours are the most insightful and special I've EVER seen. Thank you SO much for this 💗
If someone hasn't already said . . . that drill sound is where the tip of the tounge touches the roof of the mount. Air gets pushed through the tip to make the sound, Dlow has just mastered it very well.
There's a tag team wildcard called equilibrium which is amazing. Professionally trained bass singer. Another GBB wildcard by a guy called JP is also insane
This reaction just showed up on D-low’s channel
You both are great! Thanks for your sound.
This is great professional reaction! I've been waiting for this for a long time and finally got it. Thanks!
I appreciate that you take your time with the beatbox reactions! a lot of other channels just rush into it get burned our and then stop. I like the breaks you take in-between! it gives us time to rewatch your other reactions and also check out your other content!
Oh, I've just bumped into ur channel 'cause I really love people reacting to D-low. Ur comments are really entertaining yet professional🥰. Now I can't help wanting you to react on D-low's 'Hard Sometimes' or 'If my bones are breaking'. Two breathtaking pieces of art u'll definitely like!

There's so much Show-Go inspiration here and its so. f*cking. good! 🖤🇬🇧
D-Low really impressed me with his sense of rhythm and his musicality in general. Not flashy but rock solid. Great analysis, Lolli!
I love this video, there are so many voice coaches who do reaction type content but seem to have no clue of what they are saying while you show that you actually know whats going on and you explain it very well. Great Video!
awesome! So again I'm gonna push you to react to MB14 live at La Cup. He's the best pure vocal looper. He has a great operatic voice and has the perfect pitch since he was young. He just uses some reverb here and there, otherwise pure vocal performance. You'll love it!!

He's great.... however I don't think looping compares to "live vocals" in terms of skill, like if you play 1 note or cord on a piano at a time you could play anything with a looper and computers by arranging... Bach, Chopin, even pieces like Rush E are all very doable without much skill with the piano. Yet playing it flawlessly, in 1 try, on the spot is (to me) faar more impressive... but yeah, MB14 is legit, I don't mean to hate :)
@ScribblyDoodle
Жыл бұрын
@@thothtahuti5509 but his looping IS live skill. Have you listened to his la cup showcase? His vocal control is phenomenal. I think it's equally impressive from pure solo beatboxing, but just a different expression of the artform. This is especially true with MB14 because he uses so few looping effects and relies mostly on 'pure' vocal effects. As a singer, I think the fairy voice mother would get a lot from that performance. His sitar is absolutely mindblowingly accurate.

I loved this reaction so much. FINALLY a D-Low reaction! Pleeeease do more, I love the way he just shocks you with his techniques
Your reactions were priceless! Literally brought tears to my eyes witnessing your emotions.
I want more beatbox reactions from you - its so genuine
the most intressting fact I can add to this, as someone who has seen nearly every DLOW video on here, is that after this video, you have seen like 5% of his sounds. Other beatboxers have a hand full of special sounds, DLOW has them all. hands down one of the best of the best of the bestest...
I really love these beatbox uploads! Your excitement is shared here ❤️
As a long time beatbox nerd/fan/hobbyist, watching you react and appreciate but also share your awesome knowledge is one of the most joyous things on the whole dang internet. I love you!
I rolled love to see a collab between you and D-low. Really I'd just love to see more vocal coaches and beatboxers talk and collaborate.
If you want to explore more of his sounds, especially the different bases, dlow has a video where he shows all his basses. I think it's like 30 or so?
I await every upload but especially the beatbox ones. I've been very actively watching beatboxers and all beatbox reactions for like 2 years. I cannot get enough. Good stuff :)
That was so cool! Love your excitement!!❤❤
He's definitely a legend, a technical master, one of my all-time faves. In past years there were some occasional wobbles in intonation, probably from how tiring the whole performace is, but he's hitting those pitches really well here.
This was SO much fun to watch. 😄 If you're curious about some of the more esoteric bass techniques, I'm pretty sure D-Low has a video on his channel going through like thirty of them.
Amazing video, love these ones and how you explain technically about beatbox! D-low is the goat!
Really cool to see you react. And analysis is very on point. Have a great day.
A video definitely worth checking out especially as a vocal coach would be If only by Hiss, Alexinho, River, and Colaps, lots of interesting harmonies and techniques
Tounge bass overtones are so underrated in beatboxing and Dlow is like the only real master of that technique I love that you pointed it out 🙏💜🔥

OMG your ability to replicate some of these sounds with no training is impressive. I think it would be magical to hear what you, and a beat boxer with a loop station could create. Both artists coming together to create something dumbfounding. I hope you would consider doing some type of co-op. It would be Amazing!!!

Thanks a lot for sharing your journey into beatboxing with us mere mortals who appreciate music but don't quite get all the colours of it.

Also I would HIGHLY recommend D-Low's newest track If My Bones Were Breaking (incredibly excited to see your reaction haha), Stitch's GBB Wildcard 2021 and D-Low - 1 Beatboxer 30 Bases.
Fantastic Video, For very singing heavy Beatbox recommendations you must see MB14 - LA Cup showcase, and Stich Feels like nothing. Mb14 is basically magical in his vocal talent and control and Stich is a Polyphonic powerhouse. Would be interesting to hear you thoughts on a beatbox routine that uses vibration bass at some point as well.
Second video I have watched of yours and you are great! So much fun to watch!
I love how passionate you treat this!
Really like this reactions because it's interesting to see how people that are closest to beatboxers (vocalists do sounds with their mouth too) look at them and say something unique things that you rarely see in the beatbox community. You should definetely check Colard Greens by King Inertia, unique style with singing as well and absolutely smashing basses.
Beat boxing group, Hiss, Alexinho, Colaps and River doing If Only. Very original, unique sounds, and good, with singing!
Holy fuckin fantastic breakdown of this coming from a casual beatbox fan. Absolutely love seeing the fascination and awe in your eyes and the way you appreciate this side of vocal art. I love hearing your take with such a highly developed perspective on all things vocal. also you and d-low's baby would be the world's great vocalist this world has ever seen just sayin.
So much freaking brilliance, it makes you stank-face for ages - your analysis and enthusiasm, as always, are the perfect spice in the tea!! ♥🙌
I really love your analytical approach! I think an amazing beatboxing artist for you to hear would be MB14. Specifically MB14 - Pyramids. :)
These beatbox reactions are awesome . especially watching you trying and succeeding in recreating some of these sounds.
I love her passion and excitement! Amazing!😍
Not his most impressive routine but it's so cool that you are analyzing beatbox. Can't wait for more!

D-Low really improved with his singing as well as with his beatboxing, very cool to see his journey of getting better and better and beeing pretty much the best beatboxer in the World. Well, now we need her to react to Codfish :D
