Hiya Beth! Here's something I've noticed about Brazilian music... most of their songs seem to have deep & poetic lyrics, and the singers do subtle changes in their singing during important parts to emphasize or to illustrate them. So I strongly recommend - if not too late, to have subtitles/translations on. 😉 PS: I love your react videos

As a brazilian, I can tell you, you so right about the lyrics and everything else. Our music (the good ones) have deep poetry, not always kind or nice lyrics, we have some critics one, hate ones, but good... or at least we had, in past the poetry were better... but I believe, poetry is half of the song, so... I enjoy too good poetry on english songs as werll, I look for those, like Pual Simon, Queen, Bowie, Ray Charles, The Doors, you know... long list to mention all they here LOL.. Muisc is magic, and if it talks to you, the magic is awesome... ;-)

"If I'm stall you" is not quite right. Maybe "If I'm stalling". "If I'm throwing you a rope" would make more sense, I think. Specially if you add the rest: "And if I'm throwing you a rope is just to abandon you later".

No vocal pode até ser, o meu tipo predileto de voz feminina é a contralto. Agora em repertório ela é bem ruim, mais um talento desperdiçado igual a Ivete. A própria Marisa Monte por exemplo, possui uma obra bem mais interessante.

Eu gosto dos antigos, Milton, Elis, Chico, Ney... todo mundo fala,l e eu concordo, as 3 melhores vozes do Brasil, Elis, Ney e Tim Maia, mas eu colocava a Ana junto (pela voz, não tanto pelo repertório, embora algumas dela sejam realmente boas nas letras) e Djavan e Marisa Monte também.
