Would you do an assessment of Gabriel Henrique Cortes singing Whitney Houston’s “Run to You?”

This makes my amateur soprano heart so happy! I've both listened to and sung this throughout my life and this one of the most pristine renditions I've ever heard! I often try to add ornamenti and stick to the traditional articulation when possible, but if the Spirit moves me, I've been fortunate to work with music directors that have been able to adapt to any interpretative choices I make within reason. I've mainly sung for weddings and funerals along with cantoring Masses. Love your work, Tara and I agree wholeheartedly with your reaction!

I heard the rendition of this song from Mirusia Louwerse performing Ave Maria with André Rieu. So emotional ❤. That singer is good. I love her vibrato.

I don’t have the score in front of me, but I’m pretty sure the way Aida sings the first gratia plena is how it’s written. I agree that the second one sounded different.

I heard her sing "Ave Maria" a long time ago, and I even left a message under her video, hoping that dimash would sing it too. Later, dimash did too, but unfortunately he didn't sing this version😅

TBH, they should be flipped, not rolled. I know the text of this song, and she flips the R on Maria, but rolls them on the Gratia. There’s no need when there’s only one R present. Double Rs would be rolled. But you don’t really have double Rs in Latin…in Italian they’re everywhere however

About what you said that it wasn't written like this, what i noticed is that many singers sing it slightly differently. Jessy Norman and others...I guess the most important is to put emotion while singing this song.
