Her career is such that her talent stood out at a time when the music industry was flourishing having so many very talented composers who were all clamoring to have her sing their compositions. You may observe that in most of her major concerts it will always have a full orchestra to back her. All because composers and producers know that she is "bankable".

Thank u for this reaction! I miss regine. Lately, She have been asked what’s her legacy and she didn’t say about her songs or her contrubutions in PH music industry. She just humbly said that it will be her son. Singers will be know and forgotten, she accepted that fact as she was saying that is how its just work then said.. Her son will remember her forever and that’s her legacy. Truly a QUEEN.

You may also react to her performance of Sometime, Somewhere (In yellow gown). It's a roller-coaster experience. Simply the best!

Her concerts in English that I recommend is One Night With Regine! Such amazing showcase of her stamina especially singing in an open venue. One of her most successful concerts were her Regine At The Movies where she was wearing cornrows (heh). Classical pieces with Michelle Legrand was also an amazing concert titled Songbird Sings With Legrand.

If you like classic Regine with an orchestra behind her, you should watch her Regine sings Legrand concert - thats one of my favorite concert. Or Regine Live.

I dont know if anyone has mentioned it yet but back in the 90s and 2000s, Regine had a reputation of doing covers/renditions of songs originally done by male artists... hence her cover of I dont wannna miss a thing and What kind of a fool I am. Live concert recording in the Philippines sucks, especially back then. She sounds 10x better live. I watched a lot of her concerts when she used to come to the US regularly for tours, and to hear her live in her prime was an out of this world experience. I feel blessed.

Just imagine if at that time, 2003, if there was already KZread and it's this big, WOW they would have reached the whole world. Martin was supposed to have a concert in the US somewhere in 2006, the contract had a handsome offer and the Philippines would be proud of him he said in an interview but he was fooled by the organizer/s. He was then already the Philippines Concert King, the best of the best male singers. He almost committed suicide. see his sharing in an interview. On the other hand, Regine was supposed to play the role of Lea Salonga for Ms. Saigon but it did not happen. But we know how Lea did and the rest was history. what a waste for the two of them though good for us Filipinos because the TWO GREATEST remains in the land of the Best Singers in the World.
