lol good thing that both rhythm and lead guitarist - Paul Landers (whose mike is one that dropped down) and Richard Z Kruspke, respectively - are also the shortest members of the band, so they can duck out of the way of flames. Unless of course they themselves, and Till, are also breathing flames...see the official video for Fier Freuh!

It’s funny how there are a grip of Rammstein facts and tidbits that us Rammstein fans have that we love blasting at people once they finallllly give Rammstein a few moments of their time. So hard to get someone (especially my American friends n family) to check out Rammstein - the German is off putting to them. But once they finally do, I start rifling off impressive facts lol.

Till Lindemann is a licensed pyrotechnician so their shows are usually full of fire! Yeah, their stage shows are always well planned and HUGE. The rhythmic guitarist Landers has a spring in his mic so he can move it out of the way when he wants to. :D If you want to hear more Rammstein, I would recommend Rammlied (Madison sq Garden). Or if you want to hear softer vocals, Ohne Dich (official video).

Right, Till Linderman has the permit and technical training to be allowed to do pyrotechnical effects in his show that other bands would not be allowed because it's dangerous. And he's also a strong and tough man, therefore he can hold these heavy angel wings. If he reacts to another Rammstein video, I strongly suggest these director's cut live performances!

I suggest "Rammstein - Ich Tu Dir Weh (Live from Madison Square Garden)". Should be much better to react and it is not that over reacted like their most succesful song "Du hast". I mean Rammstein is more like many other Rock and Metal Bands out there. It is more about the feeling and other stuff their like to trigger in the audience. The whistling is playback. Hard to enough to do it in that quality without an guitar and all that smolder around.

I was at their 2012 Baltimore concert, and didn't quite land a mosh pit ticket, but I was about 3 o' clock from the stage, and I could still feel the heat from the pyro that far away.

Stood front row twice, first time was a concert in the winter and it was snowing outside my skin turned red an started peeling three days after the concert, i drank six beers and did not need the bathroom. we were covered in sweat, soot, coal dust, foam, and black confetti add the end Second time was at an outside venue on a summer evening more or less same experience but did not get burned. 10/10 would recommend watch them live and up front if you can.

The angel wings weigh about 50 kg. It is certainly not easy to sing with it. During a stage rehearsal Till fell with them and injured his back. Afterwards the wings were modified so that he is attached to them and he levitates 15 feet above the stage. For several years Till has been going to a singing teacher, which can be heard well at the more recent concerts. You should definitely listen to the song Rammlied from this concert.

Flake isn't tap dancing, he is on a treadmill.....throughout the whole show.

This dude gave no voice advice, just enjoyed the shit. (Rammstein effect)

Yeah, I've been watching him all afternoon and he's very forgiving. I guess he knows that things can't possibly always be perfect in a live show. I saw Rammstein live in 2011 in South Africa. Even back then they were getting on in age, and it's a tedious line-up. Till became quite false and out of breathe a few times, but nobody cared about that. He's earned his right not to be perfect live.

Every Rammstein reaction: someone in the comments has to say "Till is a trained pyrotechnics expert and I know everything about him, let me explain ".

I was at this show. I was way up in the nosebleeds (stage right) and even there I could feel the heat on my face from the pyrotechnics. I could also feel the concussions from the explosions in my chest. Their pyros are no joke. The show was just incredible.

I only recently got turned onto this band, and knew nothing about them; didn't remember them from the 90s (but I don't remember a LOT of things from the 90s!) and I've been captivated since. Whether it's old or new I became an instant fan and listen to them often. His embodiment of the Angel on stage with the wings BLEW ME AWAY first time I saw it. His whole posture, expressions showing fear and pain, as the ArchAngel that could take no more weight of everyone's woes. WOW....I just wanna HUG him, wings and all....! Simply fantastic!

What's often lost even to natives, because of the dark and dramatic atmosphere and tones is that it's actually a bit of a funny song by the lyrics. Yes, they are dark too, but if you connect the dots, it goes like this: 1. If you're good while you're alive, you'll become an angel. 2. Being an angel is really horrible and all of these awful things happen. 3. I don't want to become an angel. (implied punchline) This is my reason, why I'm not having a good and moral life while on earth.

Engel is about the questioning of Angels and the afterlife just to clarify and the whole song was created by the lead guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe.

Rammstein is a whole universe of energy, creativity & extravaganza. They play, perform & sing whilst controlling their own pyrotechnic. They really living their art out on stage. I've never attended a bad Rammstein concert or live performance even back in the days when they played in smaller venues with less show it was always impressive because they radiate pure art.

"Dude, your wings are on fire." Strap in, Sherlock, it's about to get even better.

I attended Rammsteins concert in Oslo in 2019. The show got several showers of rain, but at times the massive pyro effects actaully evaporated the rain before it could reach the ground and hit those of us that were standing close to the stage. Rammstein has the best live concert experiences!

I saw them live last year. Their current stage is absolutely insane. It's more of a monument than an actual stage. Something that looks like it's straight out of 1927s "Metropolis" and so huge that the drumkit looked tiny on it. Of course at some point they essentially set the entire thing on fire. That show was the most epic thing I have ever seen in my life BY FAR.

Got injured, too. A spark hit my eye after Till shot his bow during Du Hast. 2nd greatest concert in my life. Greatest concert was many years later, same band, of course :D

OH HELL YEAH RAMMSTEIN! You simply HAVE to check out "Ich tu dir weh" (from the same show) and "Mein Herz brennt", both the "normal" version and the piano version! 🤘

In other shows Till is actually hovering in the air while his wings shoot fire, like a flying Angel from hell!

If you want to see another side of them, do "ohne dich". If you want to see how far they all have come, watch some live stuff from the 90s, i am always impressed with how comfortable Till has become as a frontman. Also, the shows have chaaangeeeeeed😂😂 really liked this reaction. PS. The song is only called "Engel" without "der"... Aaand: why is your pronunciation( totally had to Google how to write that wordXD ) of german perfect?!?! Stay safe, healthy and happy 🙂

it almost hits me as pre recorded. His range was almost too perfect!

Early on in Rammstein's career their pyro actually went out of control and someone got hurt, IIRC. After that they went and took pyrotechnics courses and became licenses pyrotechnicians, to ensure that would never happen again.

In the early years they had a flaming rammstein sign above the stage. One night it melted through the chains holding it up and it fell on the audience. After that Till became a licenced pyrotenician and lead pyro designer for the band. He's the acting on-stage pyro supervisor for the rest of the band so the other members don't need to be technically qualified

They have springs on the bottom of their mics, so they can just put it up or down if they need too, so it doesn't obstruct the view if not necessary. Also like a couple others already said "Ich tue dir weh" from madison square garden would be a great next reaction

“He’s an Archangel that reads statues with the Angle of Death in a seedy bar in Hoboken.” This guy has one hell of a good imagination. I need him in my D and D group.

if you really haven't heard or paid attention to Rammstein before and you appreciate their music, then this is one band that you should see more of. All their performances are big and really thought out, but also their official music videos are very complex and well made. A lot of their music videos also carry some kind of statement in them. e.g. the video for "Ich will" where they show the influence of media, which idolizes them and then "shoots" them down. That combination of rough guys, rough music, but very carefully planned out performance takes it to the next level.

You should react to rammstein "Mein Herz brennt official piano version "

That joke about him being a war angel sharing stories with death in a seedy barb was hilarious! This is one of my favorite bands, u can’t go wrong with any of them. Mien Hernz Brennt in the piano version is so so good

You need to watch more of their live performances

You spoke of their "commitment" when it came to the pyro during the performance. An interesting side note on the level of commitment -- Till had his cheek pierced, just to have a wire run to a light inside his mouth, so his mouth could light up when doing the video for their song "Ich Tu Dir Weh"

Rammstein is THE metal show to see. If there is one metal concert that you will actually attend - you want these guys. Their staging and production are simply insane; and they're consummate professionals (which includes pyro training) at the same time. And with every tour they somehow manage to outdo themselves.

Omg more live Rammstein! This is so tame in comparison to some of their other performances

Since you watched a Song that was very low, I'd recommend watching "Rammstein - Seemann(live Lichtspielhaus) "HD" ". It's a lot more subtle performance and one of their highest songs. Really shows Till's range.

I love how for the entire song he is wide eyed. Seeing your first Rammstein live performance will do that to anyone

I've been to a see them live twice. The first time I was seated in the stand about 150ft from the stage. It was warm. The second I was about 5 people back from the barrier. The heat from the fire was unreal. Amazing show.

I think Till's deep voice is helped by his experience as a deep sea diver! In his heavier songs he does his trademark "Till hammer" on his leg that you'll see. He popped his kneecap on stage once and smashed it back cuz the show must go on and it stuck. It takes their road crew twenty 18-wheelers and a week to set up the stage. Cute, eh? 🤗 🇩🇪

Till was never a diver. He was a swimmer in DDR and was tagged to swim for them in the 1980, but tore a muscle in his stomach. That is why he is so ripped.

OOOOOH!!! Finally someone who has seen the quote to the Wenders movie "Der Himmel über Berlin"! Not only the usual comments "Wow, there's a lot of fire" but someone who paused to understand the interpretation and meaning of the song and connect it with the splendid pictorial image of the sad angel. I've met till at an airport in Denver while on a layover. Super chill guy, very good english, & is very smart. I picked his brain for the better part of an hour. One of the little gems he let me know was they were recording their self titled album (this was back in 2015 btw) & that he loves New York pizza. Hell yeah!!!

Welcome to Rammstein. Your musical life will never be the same. You notice many details, good. It means you should watch more Rammstein, for they will provide you with details to notice- LOTS of them. You also want to translate the texts. It basically says "it sucks it be an angel, I do not want to be an angel".

I was 25 in '98 and was taken to a concert of them by a friend where I lived in those days in Germany.. it was love at first sight for me 20 yrs later. Still a huge fan and their songs took me through life in good and very bad times. Their music will be heard on my funeral. Not? Then I wont be there.

My first concert was when I was 10 years old, they came to Mexico City. I know what you're talking about.

Seeing that live for the first time was mind-blowing. Rammstein always has a great stage show and loads of effects, pyro and always great visuals.

Love watching new people experience this band, enjoyed your insights as well most who do these reaction videos don't share good musical insights like you've done here. The more Rammstein reviews you do the more we all will watch because we all really enjoy watching these shows over again with new people. it's fun!

If you want to focus on Till's voice, please check out the piano version of Mein Herz Brennt. Not only will you gain an appreciation of Till's unique voice, but the piano accompanient is outstanding also.

”Ich tu dir weh“ gives a pretty good impression of Till‘s voice as it has a larger range than this song. While I really like this song, it’s a bit monotone in terms of range when it comes to actual singing, so maybe not the best choice for analysing a voice.

The Keyboard Player, called Christian „Flake“ Lorenz, was once nearlly roastet by Till on stage. He was in some kind of Cooking Pot and Till got an FlameThrower. Flake didn´t managet do duck in time, so some of his eyebrows and hair was gone! ^^ Sorry for the bad grammar and tense!

Once when the Bassist or Guitarst (I'm not sure anymore) was ill. They asked the band before them, if the player can do all their songs, which he could. He was SPECIFICALLY told to stay at one spot and this one spot only, otherwise something horrible will happen, because of the show and the pyrotechnics. The band knows everything and where to stand at what point in the show, but he doesn't, so it would have been very dangerous!

You know... this was actually a pretty low amount of fire effects... Rammstein are Pyromaniacs on stage. The effects were so big that it's rumored the first 3 rows of the audience left the concert without facial hair. Try their live versions of "Benzin", "Feuer Frei" or "Rammlied" for more effects. They really do a lot, even when not counting the fire. For example: The keyboarder is on a treadmill. He hates to stand around quietly in a concert. Has several reasons. Thatr's their way of dealing with it.

Thanks for the Rammstein review. One thing I should say is that like Nightwish almost everybody prefers the LIVE VERSIONS over the official DVD releases; this is especially true after they spent so much time and money on their elaborate stage construction for the 2019 EUROPEAN STADIUM TOUR (6 days to erect: 3 to prep and 3 more after the big trucks arrive -- there is a separate video just dedicated to watching the erection of the stage). The problem is, unlike Nightwish, there are no "Pro-Shot" videos -- only fan videos. So you have to know which ones are the best ones out of the hundreds that are out there. Also, respectfully, they are more well known for their guitar riffs and live stage shows (over 800,000 tickets pre-sold for their 2019 European tour) than their vocal talent (unlike Nightwish, which has always emphasized the vocals). Regarding the flames and the other band members, there is a well known song, "Mein Teil", where Till actually does roast one of the other band members. He uses a series of flame-throwers to douse Christian Lorenz, keyboardist, with fire; Christian is wearing a flame-proof (??) suit and headgear so he is OK. I have recently found an excellent fan-shot video of this at "kzread.info/dash/bejne/qquHtKlphK6ffZM.html". The fan did a really good job of it, if you want to watch it. Regarding other Rammstein videos, I could go on for pages, but if I had to pick ONE, it would be live version 2019-07-24 Chorzów, Stadion Śląski, Poland -Deutchland at kzread.info/dash/bejne/dK6tl6VtqNrOprg.html. 12min 23sec. Good camera angle and incorporates the extended version of the song they did for the live shows. Very different take on Rammstein; a slower pace at first with "House" overtones, but has a very dramatic transition in the middle I'm sure you'll like. But like I said above, the emphasis is on the show, not the vocals. Looking forward to more surprises from you!

As others have said, Till is a licsenced pyrotechnician and they go next level with their stunts and use of fire. The wings are about 100 lbs so signing with that certainly takes effort. If you want to hear him sing in his higher register try Seemann. Also Ohne Dich.

There are so many of their videos youd like from vocal to stage setups keep doing more Rammstein vids and you got another loyal sub man
