I think she’s actually Filipino, not Korean. I’m not sure the difference though

You should watch her performance at the Asia Song Festival in 2017. It has her singing two songs back to back, live. The sound quality for the video is superb so you can clearly hear her notes while she's moving around and even dancing in parts. The first song is more of what you would call her usual style of song choice while the second, while a Mariah song, is more upbeat and showcases not only her full vocal range but her stage presence.

Well...Excellent Analysis Ms. I think you are the first one out of many reactions to catch the distortion from her over modulating the Equip. But you did. Kudos! The only thing I would question is your thought about her head being help up, I think if you know her as well as I do, and some others here and there, that you would agree to disagree, she does that because she is " IN" the song and THAT lyric at THAT moment, as far as it being something that as you said she does without realizing it..Mmm..I def. Disagree, As you know, she is one of the most technically perfect Vocalist in the World today and I think she is so acutely aware of everything she does it's got to be stressful on her, she is such a perfectionist, I mean..I have seen her react to herself, and shes tough on her..lol, as far as that being damaging, well..you would know better about that, but..hopefully shes aware of safe singing techniques, but either way, Awesome reaction! Mori is just unbelievable ! Many reactors would think that it's pre recorded or whatsoever, I thought it so too ! Well majority of people says it's live with some reverb effect , This got me confused though unfortunately it doesn't matter on those kinda things , what matters is her beautiful voice with no mic and all , she's surely a blessing. Sorry, this is enhanced. Not much, it's mostly just run through an audio board but also has had some level balancing done after. It's no big deal. People should see and discuss this stuff accurately. She does pure live often enough it's clear that she isn't dependent on technology to sound great. That doesn't mean she eschews it totally. No recording artist does.

⁠@@Wiley_Coyotejust like others, enhancement is part of editing. The fact is, this is raw and one take only with no other special effects on hand. And this was done at her home stead not in a studio. And this performance can top other best performances of this song ever.

7:05 I have watched too many reactions and no one mentioned it. It was eating me from the inside. How can they not react to it. I was convinced either a fly flew inside her mouth or I lost my mind.

Hahha! Yea it’s actually called “clipping” when the mic red lines. Usually there’s a sound engineer to adjust things as you sing during a professional performance however clearly this was done at home.

I saw some unedited clips, it was live and she does love karaoke. Saw her fans pick the songs and I'm pretty sure the reverb is similar to the times she just sang songs without knowing the lyrics, seeing her head spin to the tv every other second made my neck hurt. I'm also open to the idea that the reverb and sound was cleaned up after the stream because it's not unreasonable since this is not a full uncut stream.

Morissette, also dubbed “Asia’s Phoenix,” has had quite a 10-year run. The Cebuana singer first rose to prominence after placing second on TV5’s “Star Factor.” She was 14 then. In 2013, she joined the first season of “The Voice Philippines” and was mentored by Popstar Royalty, Sarah Geronimo. In 2014, Morissette was signed under Star Music and released her debut, self-titled album. From that point, she guested in several television shows and has reaped several awards including New Female Recording Artist of the Year (PMPC Star Awards for Music, November 2015) and Female Artist of the Year (M.O.R Music Awards, August 2016). Come 2020, fans of “Asia’s Phoenix” will have a surprise waiting for them. Before Morissette’s ascent to fame, the artist worked with producer/songwriter duo Muller and Patton. All three spent time, talent and treasure together, working on a collection of originals while based in Cebu. “In 2011, when Morissette was only 14, Ben Patton and I wrote 14 songs for her and recorded them with her. I always thought that they came out really great. However, they were never officially released,” shared producer, songwriter Jaye Muller. “Now after almost 10 years, we decided to finally release them, in two volumes.” On Nov. 20, “Morissette at 14 Vol. 1” will be available on digital streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon. The first volume will have eight songs, more focusing on the ballads. In March 2021, the second volume will be released. The second release will feature more of Morissette’s uptempo songs. Volume 2 will feature eight tracks as well. Each volume will feature seven originals and one remix of one of the songs featured from the other volume. “We are very excited that those songs finally get officially released for all Morissette fans to enjoy. It also shows how great Morissette was at 14 already,” added Muller.

Mori fans Yall know how much of a massive fan I am of Morissette, so I hope you'll receive what I say here as accurate. I posted this on another reaction to this about the Question of "Live" : You are correct This was not live, This was recorded in lockdown 6 songs in all. It was then mixed for balance (mic is above off camera)by her talent agency STAGES, for a variety event. Yes some reverb is added. I think there's confusion with fans, as Morissette often goes live and sings requests. This was NOT one of those times. Morissette did actually go live when her set aired and did a talk through of each song (maybe thats also confusing people). It's a "live" capture in that she's not lipping to a prerecorded track, but this upload was not raw (if that makes sense). Great reaction I can tell you are a true fan! I look forward to more of her here! There actually are quite a few raw captures of her voice uploaded on KZread. It would be interesting to see your analysis. Some are with a Karaoke mic, and one quite popular compilation is just clip after clip of her raw voice with no mic. Might be interesting to get some of those on here. Regardless as you said ,she is a Vocal force!

Yep, you are absolutely correct. The audio and video were both captured from this live performance and was in one continuous take - the audio in the final cut is not the 'raw' take, reverb/echo was added in post. Post production wasn't able to remove the mic from clipping as apparent in the "...you can't bring me down..." part of the song ...however, I don't believe they pitched to tune her voice in any part of song, so the only post they did was reverb/echo to get that big hall effect.

Yes this IS considered LIVE as it was one take and not multiple. Sound effects were added like reverb, however the same can be said for singing in the shower vs singing in a closet full of clothes. Hahaha! However I didn’t hear any auto tune or major effects beyond reverb. I don’t think they would have left the clipping in there if they were going for a studio effected sound.

at 2:57 when she sings the first “to tryyyyy” is she using headvoice or a light mix? i tend to not be able to sing that lightly without using a LOUD mix so if she’s not using headvoice, i definitely need to work on using my mix in a softer voice. it seems impossible :((( any tips?

Even though a singer is singing live, they can still have autotune and other effects. Like Justin Bieber in concerts, he sings live but you can tell there is autotune. Morrisette was singing live in her live stream. But the video was published by a studio. The studio put effects on it. There’s reverb, but it’s all live.

I find it so funny whenever you pause the video with the singers' ridiculous faces 😂🤣

yes it was the first time I saw her point that chin forward/upward but I think this is because she was using a shotgun mic above her head, maybe 🤔 thats the reason why

Im pretty sure she was singing with her head tilted up so much is the mic is above her head, just off camera. I've never seen her sing in any other video with her chin out so much... She was singing towards the mic, likely because it is a cheap mic and wanted to be certain it got what she was laying down :)

I was scrolling and in a minute i stopped scrolling because it captures my attention of this channel..thats why im starting liking this..because i am mowienatics or one of the supporter of Morissette Amon..shes so good..she never stop to amaze the viewer even live or covers..she is very stunning always..starting today i am now part of this channel Miss💓😍✔️..thanks✉️

I don't know what mic they are using here but it was live indeed, i watched it full session live stream, in fact she was talking trough out the video before singing, but definitely there's a voice effects in the microphone or something, but i'm not really sure what was that, not an expert... but only one thing for sure, it was live... though it doesn't really matter if it's live or what because we all know what she's capable of at the live stages... you only have to do is actually search in youtube and you will see amazing live stage performances of her, most of them are better than the studio recordings.

@@obe22099 I'm a fan and I can't count how many videos of her i already watched by myself but usually i rather not write comments on them, i'll just click the like button and enjoy her performance because some comments sections are really toxic and will just give stress on me and knowing i can't talk to them realtime, not even sure if they will read your replies,so basically it's a waste of time dealing with negative people. Sure it was a good feeling to read good comments about your idols but sometimes here and there you will see exaggerated praises and reactions and it's definitely not good for her, building up so much hype. Better let Mori sail smoothly to more success she deserves and i know she can with that voice and appearance not to mention her down to earth adorable attitude... Can't blame these "Over-protective/defensive Fans" tho. Maybe they just really can't control their love for her... in fact once upon a time long time ago i belong to that type of "fan category" of some particular artist ..,and then there was a thing called "MATURITY" came along and strikes me good to the head... too much love kills.
