When I heard this. I thought. Awesome, a new LP song with Chester.. So cool. But when the moment came and he started to sing, it just hit so differently than I expected. I can listen to there old music just fine. But for some reason a new song with him just hit so differently than I thought. His voice just made me shiver right away, I did not expect it to hit in that way.. And the fact it was so unexpected make it so much more. And the moment he sings. " I am tired " there is a break in his voice, its like its pulled out. its just. Amazing song. and I can't put words on it, but what ever I am feeling, I really did not think I would feel listening to this song when I heard it the first time. An other things after hearing it many times now. When the " I tried to keep this pain inside, but I will never be alright " Looking back there are many of the things he sung where people say, well he was telling us. But those lines are not like that, it was more a. He feared this, and it turned out to be true. Suffering from chronical mental illness is something you fight your entire life, and the best you can do is fight so it does not effect others. But you know inside you will never get to be alright. All the things others life for, is something you can never have, and there is not anything you can do about it. When you live it, that thought is the most heavy thing you carry. No matter what, your life will always be that, I will never be alright. Nothing can change it, no amount of love, wealth, power. I can have everything I ever desired, and I will still not be alright. Favorite LP song, is hard. because there is so many that means a lot. However I have many tattoos, and I have designed them myself, with the old Norse way of being used to tell my own story with them. So I do not have things from songs, or poems, or pictures whatever. Other than one thing. LP have a song called " This is my December " Not one of there most known, but I listened to it a lot. And I have in my tattoo the " This is my December " as a ode to LP. the only connection I have to any lyrics or band, so it means something. It also made sense because I am born in December, so it still tells that story. plus other connections to December. But for that reason I would say that is the most important LP song for me, can't say if its my favorite.

I hope that they share more music that they didn't put on other albums. They were very important in my life, as they helped me through some tough times in the early 2000s in highschool. I remember in 2008 I was in 11th grade, and i saw them in concert. It was just so unreal and perfect, I love their music and Chester's voice. It took away any pain I had inside, but, when i hear this new music with Chester's voice, it really hits me in the feels. It is hard not to tear up when hearing Chester's voice again on songs never shared before. I could never sing close enough to Chester's amazing voice, I have tried and it is not possible. He has this distinct voice, that no one will ever come close to replicating. He sings with such sadness, and belts out these beautiful raspy and loud vocals, and you can feel his pain and suffering deep inside him through his lyrics and the way he sings.

this was originally written back in '03 during the time they were recording 'Meteora.' According to Mike, the only reason it didn't make it onto the record was bc it was too similar in energy and vibe as 'Numb' so they shelved it. But they did a re-release of that album and put this song on there for the 20th anniversary. Also, they didn't do anything to it as far as remixing or remastering so how we're hearing it today is exactly how it sounded when they first recorded it back in '03

When this song came out, it took me months to build up the courage to listen to it. Linkin Park was my escape as a teen. They've been the only constant that were there no matter what i went through. I could just pop on my headphones and just ignore the chaos around me. They were my escape.. I was lucky enough to see them some years before we lost Chester. It broke me honestly, I couldn't listen to an LP song for years without breaking down. I remember i was on vacation when my mom called and told me, because she didn't want me to read it online. I was in a store and had to go outside to the car so i could break down. I cried for hours, it seems silly to some, but seriously, these guys saved my life! ❤️‍🩹 So when i listened to this song, I did it at home with my earbuds in and with my dog in my lap, and just cried again, and i'm not embarrassed about it. Beause thats the power of lp, they awake emotions, and that's what i love about them 🥰 Sorry about the long as comment 😂

The number of times I just put it on loop.... Linkin Park wasn't a huge band for me. Chester passing away was "Oh, damn. Another one." because of how many have happened since i was born in '83. So the first time I heard part of this on TT & started tearing up was like "WTF?!" Took a few days before I actually started to listen again. Then spent 2 days crying watching everyone's reactions. Because we recognized that last call for help, & knowing now it was never, possibly COULD never, be answered. By someone whose voice was the background for so many of us growing up, finishing high school, starting our lives. It hits just a bit harder.

Losing Chester hit me hard, right in the chest. There haven't been many celebrity deaths that got me like that, mainly just Chester and Robin Williams. Robin was my childhood and Chester my older teen/young adulthood. They were also examples of invisible illnesses that many people don't see. Listening to "Heavy" and "One More Light" sound so different now. One takeaway from their stories is, tell the people in your life that you care, they're important and they're loved. Nothing is permanent in life, except that final choice. If you're struggling too, I care about you, internet person, even if we dont know each other. You're here and you are valid and important 💜

hey big fan and yes I agree with being so short but makes you wanna replay until you can't no more haha, missed seeing your video even tho I don't sing, but you are inspiring for me to watch so thank you. I was wondering if you do video on sleep token, they have new stuff and would recommend Granite or Aqua Regia, they are new songs by them but always been fan of their vocals and hope you like yourself. keep up the good work and helping people understand the knowledge of singing, all love Glenn.

Love this, also can you please do a reaction to Love Goes on and On by Lindsey Stirling Ft Amy Lee! I’ve yet to see any Vocal Coach’s react/ break it down, would be awesome!🥹💚 it’s one of the most beautiful harmonizing mixtures between violin and voice I’ve ever heard!

I agree with everything you said. Saw the link of your video , in linkin park story. I am french, I can't hear anymore their songs because it's painful. But this song is healing a little, my heart. We will always miss Chester 💝

Chester saved my life when i was a teen in a dark place. So hard to loose chester. He helped me with my mental health. If he couldn’t do it how am i this is what tugs at me. Sorry to be dark but man i just needed to speak. Dont have many people around since covid. And lost my best friend to suicide in ‘21
