I absolutely adore this song. Dimash is phenomenal. Recording this on a phone and so close to one of the speakers didn’t help with the sound distribution. @@littlelion7820 it's such a problem with the fancams isn't it, you get some that have perfect audio but terrible video and then others with perfect video but terrible audio and of course the camera focus is always on Dimash so you can't see what's going on around him. Everything gets taken out of context with just snippets. It's like the Virtuosos show, reactors have just watched the Placido Domingo song, seen the other judges sat at the table and thought Dimash was in the competition. 🤣

This performance was at the recent Hong Kong concert. And Dimash always has backup singers at his concerts, regardless of which one it is. And it was a live band, not a back track.

Yes, I was there and yes there were live backing singers. They were on the audience's left, Dimash's right side of the stage.

People who were at the concert have said that the backing singers were not drowning Dimash’s voice out at all. It’s because this is a Fancam. I expect the official video will be out soon from the Hong Kong concert.

This is a fan camera take and she/he is positioned on a side of the stage and the sound comes from the side speakers that probably has the sound of the chorus. Recording on a phone from the center of the stage will pick the sound of all the speakers. Dimash has been exploring his more bluesy and jazz sides lately. His most recent performance of Dudari on Chinese TV was a very jazzy surprise following a traditional opening. I attended this concert. Yes, there were backing vocalists. But you need to keep in mind that, unlike other concerts of this world tour, this concert was organized by Chinese producers, and at their request, the concert was accompanied (backup singers, musicians, dancers) not by members of Dimash’s team, but by people who were provided by the Chinese team. It is quite obvious that Dimash has not worked with these people before, and some inconsistency in actions is possible, since they had little time to jointly hone their performances, especially new songs in Dimash’s repertoire.

He's known as a " tough negotiator, knows exactly what he wants, never compromises, always prepared, highly disciplined, expects the same, doesn't waste time, doesn't "suffer fools" firm, kind, fair and always a gentleman". The references made by employees, co workers, collaborators and friends.

This has to be a fan cam I think that’s why you’re hearing that difference in how he sounds in the volume. This is not an official thing at all but amazing non the less

p.s. another reactor went to the concert and blogged it...he said on the fan cams it sounds like DQs voice was under amplified or drowned out by the band and the back up singers, but that it did NOT sound that way there in the hall, he was very fully amplified and audible.

Thanks for this! I actually prefer the live fan cams and the live concerts he releases on his channel. It seems like any other performances get over produced in post by the tv shows. It still sounds amazing because it's still him but I like the raw vocals better. Please check out his duet with Placido Domingo!

This is a recording from a Dear recording on her mobile phone. Official launch not up yet. Gr8 they uploaded it for us to see. Yes to support singers, usually there though not always singing. The lyrics r jo on some dear recordings, the riffs u reffer to are less than u think. Some r must runs of words just not yet ditinguishable as yet. But find the lyrics n ull see.

The sound on this fancam is not great, seem they sat right in front of a speaker. We are anxiously awaiting the official release of this song. 😅

You are absolutely right the backing singers were too loud at some point. At his concert here in Hong Kong, as already mentioned, there were backing singers from China and not the ones he usually has. IMHO their voices didn’t work well with Dimash‘s voice. They didn’t blend with each other. I‘m eagerly waiting to hear this song in a better sound quality with his own backing singers because the song is 🔥 and will sound even better with them.

Domingo himself invited Dimash to take part as a judge on the jury evaluating the talent AND to do a duet together. Find the duet on Dimash's channel then go to Virtuosos channel to view the program! It's all spectacular! Thanks for reacting to When I've Got You. He also introduced Smoke. These were at his December 10th concert in Hong Kong and were hot items until the Domingo duet came out. Love your videos :) I think the loud track vocals are meant to give him a bit of rest where he doesn`t have to go full power, it`s a long song in a 3 hour concert full of complicated stuff, it`s in english, which stresses him out a bit, especially when he intends to do it live (his memory of the pronunciation in english goes a bit in and out). The single low voice doubling his on "making a name ain`t easy these days", in the middle of the song, is his own voice in a lower octave, on a track, for effect. Regarding backing vocalists, he usually has his own team with him everywhere, however I think for this particular concert he didn`t, I think the backing was on carefully recorded track, which is going to be part of the music video. He filmed the music video while in the US, and I think the backing vocals (choir) might have been recorded there also. The person who recorded this on the phone was very close behind him and also focused on him so you don’t see his backing singers that he always has in his concerts!!! He does scatting and riffs live a Capella And I’m saying it as one who has been to his concert.
