He was 22 years old at the time of the I Am A Singer competition. He just turned 26. He was the runner-up to a very talented singer and actress Sandy Lim, a lady over twice his age. My personal favorite Dimash songs are Ogni Pietra and Your Love; both of which were written specifically for him. The latter was a joint effort with the legendary musician and composer Igor Krutoy and the renown singer and songwriter Lara Fabian.

For Ogni Pietra not the fan cam (terrible audio) or Olympic opening ceremonies (terrible visual). If you decide to react to another video I think Opera 2 or Sinful Passions, but he has so much more to offer. Dimash has a hardcore fan base (Dears) so prepare to be invaded.

I suggest “Olympico” (Ogni Pietra) from Arnau New York or New Wave 2019. Both are excellent quality with superb performances (and my favorites). They are decently focused on him, unlike Minsk Opening Ceremonies or Worldskills, for example (that’s just my opinion).

He is from Kazakhstan and just turned 26 but was still only 22 during this Chinese competition. He’s got a six octave range - at least. He’s also a composer, multi-instrumentalist and has performed in 12 (or maybe it’s 17 now ?) languages. On top of all of that he’s incredibly humble and just a good guy, someone you can feel good about rooting for. Enjoy the journey!

Well, Ken, welcome to the extraordinary Dimash Kudaibergen. He can actually sing coloratura soprano, not just falsetto. His teachers trained him over many years to retain this range despite his voice breaking. He was 22 when he competed in the I Am Singer programme and no, he didn't win the ultimate contest, but he did win several rounds. He continues to study and has completed several music degrees. He is constantly improving and I believe is a living, breathing, work of art. He is the total package. Technique, range, breath control, stage presence, mike technique, and not bad looking. If you continue watching him you will not be dissappointed. I like Adagio, but any of his work is outstanding. He is the best in the world.

This SOS that Dimash is singing and it was in 2017.He was in a completion. He is now 28 yrs old and has been singing all over this world. He was Classically trained since he was 5 yrs. Old. He combines classical and contemporary. He has is own style. He's humble , kind ,giving. And suburb Talent. He works very hard. Thankyou for your reaction. 💕♥️

I've been listening to Dimash for over three years now, S.O.S was my first experience of his unearthly ability. It's still my favourite piece, remembering the disbelief and beauty and the knowing that I had never heard anything like it ever! He can't be placed in any category, opera, pop, folk, Rock, etcetera, he does them all and more in one performance. I still don't believe he's reached his full potential, though he's been on quite a journey. I enjoyed your professional response. Thank you.

Thanks for your reaction and welcome to the magic world of Dimash! His voice is very hard to classify. The secret behind this "sorcery" is probably (as he said in an interview) that he was singing the soprano parts in his choir as a child, and he kept the soprano part even when he was going through puberty during his voice transition, because of lack of sopranos. Apparently, he managed to maintain his higher registers, while his voice also gained baritone/tenor quality as well. Of course, he obviously has a very rare instrument as well, I doubt this is just the product of singing high notes through puberty. Something I'd like to point out. He is hitting an E6 in the middle part of the song, and a D6 in the final climax. You said he is moving up to his whistle register, but these are actually full voiced falsettos. It's just that the E6 is such a high note (even for most sopranos) that it's thinned a lot, but it is full voiced. Dimash can indeed access his whistle register up to a mindboggling D8, but he usually breaks into whistle around F6. The reason I'm insisting on pointing this out is that it's even more impressive that his D6 and E6 are full voiced. Also, in the end of the climax, after the D6 and the run that he did, he "landed" on a tenor B4. A B4 is the climax of classical songs like Nessum Dorma and he casually "landed" on this note like it nothing. I'm mentioning this because Dimash can sing in full operatic tenor register up to D5, which is crazy high, with a very round and dark sound. Pay attention to his tenor C5 and D5 in the future, you will be impressed. They are easy to miss sometimes, because his voice is so extreme that they don't even sound that high. I hope you do more reactions of his performances. He is so unique and impressive, his talent cannot be contained in a single performance. There are other skills and techniques he displays in different songs, you have merely scratched the surface of his immense capacity. For me, two must-see performances are "Sinful Passion" from Sochi in 2018 and "Ogni Pietra" from his solo concert in Astana in 2019. You will be blown away!! Apologies for the long comment!!

Θεμη ο τυπος ξεκαθαρα δεν ειναι coach :p εχουμε δει και οι δυο μας οτι coach υπαρχει στο youtube :p δεν υπαρχει περιπτωση ενας coach να μην ξερει τι ειναι 3:21 οτι αυτο ειναι mix και να μπερδευτει και να το πει whistle note! αν τσεκαρεις και το σαιτ του ειναι απλα ενας τραγουδιστης και ο ιδιος και οχι coach! Dimash can do IMMEDIATE switches from extreme low to extreme high FLAWLESSLY and SEAMLESSLY.

Baritone ,6+ octaves , high is D-8, sings in 12 languages , plays 7 instruments,

Dimash does not raise the bar, he IS the bar. Someone else who is becoming the bar is Angelina Jordan.

This was a chinese show for highly respected singers to compete, Dimash was the only foreign singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese president and was very impressed. He is from Kazakhstan is 6ft 3, 1/4 and was the youngest ever competitor in 2017 at only 22 years old. This was his first performance on the show and the audience went wild for him. When the show was broadcast on tv he had to have bodyguards for the first time in his life as he had become a superstar overnight in China. He is now a world class artist, still just turned 26 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, (on hold until next year due to covid-19) he also performs in concerts with the famous russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition. He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to persue his own musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist and also sings in 12 different languages he speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. He is kind, humble, generous and modest, a very elegant, well bought up young man. His Dears are his very loyal fans and we number over 70 fan clubs in 120 countries globally and number in the millions, he calls us Dears because we are so dear to him. Yep. Dimash...Thank you for the reaction. There should be a separation between a "singer" and an "entertainer". Most singers now a days belong to the "entertainer" class because the singing is mediocre at best which forces them to abuse shock value. Dimash should definitely be the bar for artists interested in the art of singing - he is the best we've got by far.

Dimash just turned 26 on May 24, 2020. He has said that his voice never changed as a teen. Plus his vocal cords are longer than most males so he can sing much higher than the average male. His mother is an opera singer & his dad is a singer/producer. He started studying music at 5 years of age, so he has 21 years of practice & hard work. He was offered a position in one of the greatest opera houses in his country & he turned it down because of his passion for pop & rock music. Sadly he came in 2nd in that competition...not because he wasn't the best, but because the Chinese government refuses to allow a foreigner to win that competition. He knew that going in & he still gave a performance of a lifetime!!! His name means "Gift of God" in his native country. He plays 7 different musical instruments, speaks 4 different languages, & sings in 12 different languages with his favorite being French. I love hearing him sing a song for the first time in French just to see what he makes me feel & then I listen to it with the English subtitles & I've found that my passion grows at exactly the same places when I understand the words & when I don't understand what he's singing. It really doesn't matter which of his songs you choose to listen to as you will be amazed by ALL of them...He can take any song & make it his own!!!

That competition was among established, well-known Chinese artists. Dimash was invited as a wildcard, and was the youngest competitor. He became first alternate, much to his parents Delight. They hoped he would place somewhere in the top 6 or so, but really didn't think he would win the position he did.

🙋 Dimash says he's a tenor, originally he had a vocal range of three octaves but over the years and study he has able to extend it to 5 and two semitones. He studied music from the age of 5, on the 24 of this month he torned 26 AND was able to strengthen his low grades. Greeting from Argentina 🇦🇷😁

I also wanted to respond to that line, "ding dong daisy". I once had a boss who reacted to a heated phone call after it finished by calling out afterwards in full volume, "Blast!". I come from Australia & a generation of commonly used "FUC&" used unsparingly & I cried for an hour (*laughing). This was almost that funny.

That's the first time the audience heard him!

Dimash el mejor....no busquen otro que ustedessaben que no lo hay....solo con saber que es dificil saber que es humano.....DIMASH THE BEST....WAOOOOOO. No puede competir con humanos es dificil ponerlo porque es algo de otra dimension....pueden haber buenos pero con Dimash hay que agarrarse...tiene muchas cosas en una sola persona solo eso ya es sorprendente y tiene que reconocerce como superior a los demas cantantes.....el es la musica y un ejemplo de inspiracion.....y incomparable con humanos o muy dificil compararlo porque es algo superior multitalento y multimas......gracias amigo. But he isnt. I have similar breaks like Dimash has in my voice. I can't sing D8, but i can sing from F2 to F7, i didnt count subharmonic that allow sing lower. And im baritone. Natural baritone is about vocal cords length and thick, not about what you sing.' If you want to know what tenor is in hight notes then try Vitas

Listen to his coaches and opera company management. He is a tenor. His 6.5 octave range affords him to sing in bass-baritone, baritone, tenor, alto, countertenor, mezzo soprano, soprano and coloratura soprano. He sings many genres and even opera singers have noted he can sing an entire opera on his own. He hardly ever uses falsetto. He doesn’t need to. Those ranges are true. He is not a gimmick. Dimash Kudaibergen has the widest range of any male singer in recorded history. 😊

@@fps70 I dont care about vitas, I dont follow him. Dimash is a tenor, as per him , his vocal teachers and everyone else who have studied him. I have also heard him live in 2 concerts and understand how his live vocals are and how his high notes sound! They are not puny falsetto but strong suprano. So I will take that over your personal opinion. Thank you!

More importantly, Vitas uses autotune to sound one octave higher than what he actually sings, while Dimash doesn't need that. Dimash is a tenor, there is very little doubt about that.
