Tommy Körberg is one of (if not THE) best male singer we have in Sweden. As a Eurovision lover, I would recommend you to check out Tommys Stad i ljus (city in lights) - the swedish eurovision entry 1988, and one of my favourite songs ever!

From what I've heard Tommy held back during the rehearsals, don't remember why but I believe he'd had a cold or something so he wanted to take it easy for the performance and she wasn't very impressed by him, so the surprise you see from Celine in the video when Tommy goes off is genuine. If you want to hear more from Tommy Körberg (the K is pronouced like "sh") you ought to listen, and preferebly react, to him singing "Anthem" from Chess. He thought she was a diva, which she is, and decided to troll her. He wasn't quite fond of her. Now Tommy is a diva himself but Celine is on a whole other level. Tommy seems like a down to earth human being compared to her.

It's true. I just watched an interview with him where he explained that his voice a bit fragile and he didn't want to strain it during the rehersal. She thought he was some half as singer and was not impresed with his skills so she almost didn't talk to him at all before the actual performance. He thought it would be fun to show of a little and did more with his vocals then he intended from the start. The rose was also a surprise.

Tommy sings the Swedish version of this song and in that duet he’s the one with the vocal powerhouse role(similar to how Celine is the one in the English version) taking the powerhouses from both versions and pairing them up for a duet was an interesting choice but it has the unavoidable risk of coming of as a battle Personally I prefer the Tommy and Sofia pairing for the song as I find it fits the theme of the movie quite well with Sofia’s clear somewhat delicate voice as Belle and Tommy’s more bellowy and powerful tone as beast

Tommy körberg is a world class singer and one of the very best male singer we have in sweden. He is still performing at the age of 75yo and sounds better than ever ❤ PS I just love Celines reaction when he start doing his vocal runs. Please react to him singing Fait Accompli together with the famous ABBA member Benny Andersson and his orcestra. Its live from a tv show called Allsång på skansen. Beautiful song and amazing performence.

Tommy have never took a singing lesson. He has learned by him self.

He was sick during the rehearsal. So he only saved his voice for live performances, Celine was surprised how well he sings. Because he saved his voice in training. There was this look from Celine.Regards Jonas in Sweden.

The singer makes such sounds, as if he has a terrible toothache and in addition to that made such a face at the end of the vocal, as if he had just extracted a sick tooth. Definitely showing too much body and facial expression when performing this composition.
