Live, they are on a completely different level. Very intense, but they have hearts of gold. Kind and soft-spoken, with laughter at hand.

My fav song by them (their album is GREAT) is Dana Dan, it's full of power and the lyrics are awesome (you can read the lyrics in the video if you put on the subs). Machi Bhasad, Aaj, Yaad,... You could listen some songs that are very good. 100% respect for you when you react to "think outside the box" things like this.

Love your channel! As a life-long metalhead, I love watching you discover bands I adore. I love Bloodywood. That combination of more traditional Indian instrumentation and elements combined with a modern groove metal sound is just perfect. For more peanut butter-chocolate moments, please check out Skindred's mix of reggae and metal in "Rat Race", "Nobody" or "Set Fazers"; or Zeal & Ardor's combination of gospel spiritual and black metal in "Blood in the River" or "Built On Ashes" or "Strange Fruit."

"No Flag" is important. I think it means that there's no "us" and there's no "them" in any real sense. It is an idea which comes up in a lot of their songs, probably most clearly expressed in a song called Ari Ari - "Despite all differences we are one." They are a living embodiment of this. I hadn't heard any Indian metal before them, but they've reached and touched people like me who are half a world away. This peaceful and positive message might not sound like it chimes well with starting a riot, but some in power lie (yeah like that's a shock) or exploit differences for their own ends. They're saying that they won't put up with this crap. I agree, although I'm not planning on starting a riot. Yet. Might be too idealistic to think that people will ever forget all differences and just refer to themselves and each other as "human", but it seems like a good goal to aim at. A world without racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia etc. A flag in this case represents how we define and differentiate ourselves from others. So no flag is the opposite of this and it's (ironically) a flag which I can get behind.

Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. First thing you gotta know about Bloodywood: they are completely self produced. Shoot their own videos & everything. Second: this is the most support worthy band ever. Not only does every song send a powerful message, but they back up those messages by using tour proceeds & Patreon support to donate to charities & engage in real world activitism for everyone's betterment. Plus they're nerds & have a great sense of humor, despite their heavy topics. Also, best live show ever!! Hope you check out more of their songs. I suggest Endurant (my personal favorite about anti-bullying) or Aaj ( about the moment you choose to shed your limitations & be your true self).

There's no way you're gonna move on to another band without checking out more songs by Bloodywood. Suggestions: AAJ - basically about fighting your demons. Amazing flute solo. Different song structure. DANA DAN - about rape culture and beating the shit out of rapists. It is one of the heaviest songs by them. YAAD - about loss of pet dog 😢 (or a loved one) JEE VEERAY - Powerful song about depression

welcome to the world of folk metal .. to anyone interested here's a folk metal band list that covers all inhabite continents Diablo Huma- Equador Hiddenland- Equador Cemican- Mexico MiracleOfSound-Ireland (look up his songs Sirona, Grainn Mahoil and Tale of Cu Chullain) Alestorm- Scotland (it's pirate metal but some people count it?) Tyr- Faroe Islands Percival- Poalnd/ Pan slavic Arkona-Russia Rune-Serbia Po' Metra Crijeva- Croatia (the band name means half a meter of guts) Manntra-Croatia Brkovi- Croatia (more of a punk band but look up their song "Ovce" a MAGICAL blend of rap, metal a, punk and folk influences) Metaklapa- Croatia (This one is weird ... they do covers of metal songs in traditional Dalmatian singing style .. for example they did Aces high) Dubioza Kolektiv- Bosnia & Hertzegovina (DO NOTE! This band is called a band with no genre for a reason! they varry from Regge R&B To Folk-Metal-Punk ... compare their "Space song" and "No escape from Balkans") Arka'n Asrafokor- TOGO (also worth of note is Skinflint from Botswana but they don't ussualy have much folk elements) Al-Namrood- Saudi Arabia (They played metal when it was punishable by death... IT DON'T GET MORE HARDCORE THAN THAT!) Hassak- Kazakhstan (it's an ethno band but listen to their song Amanat and tell me it don't belong on a metal concert) The Hu- Mongolia Wagakki band- Japan Nini music- Taiwan BLOODYWOOD- India Alien weaponry- New Zealand Shepherds Reign- New Zealand/Samoa

"Metal is the instrument of change" You don't know how right you are, and not only in music. Throughout our history, the biggest, most important changes that civilization has had, has come from discovering better and better metals. The Bronze, the Iron, the Steel, so on and so forth.
