What a wonderful, dreamy performance! I continue to enjoy Angelina's vocal and beautiful performances. What did you like about this the most?

She's just too good to be true!

If I remember correctly, Ivan Mendez is accompanying Angelina off camera. He has said in interviews, these performances were not planned and barely rehearsed. To me it shows a brilliant musical intellect on her part to know a song to this degree that's from a long ago era. There's an absolute wealth on Angelina material around this age. Her performance of THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW YOUR FACE leaves me stunned. As always Nina, thank you!

Good in Goodbyes was my favorite as soon as heard the lyrics. I love the tune and her vocals as well, but her poetry is next level. Grandma Mery must be very proud of her protege.

We really don’t need to identify specific elements in Angelina’s singing that makes us love to listen to her-but I’ll try anyway. We’re usually hanging on every word because we don’t know what she’s going to do with that next phrase. As many have said before, Angelina always respects the melody, but she always gives us something that is her own twist. And she is just incredibly good at hitting that balance. And also, at least for me, I’m hearing an extemporaneous take every time she sings. Of course, she thought about how she wanted to sing to that acoustic backing, but you know it won’t be exactly the same the next time. Her confidence in her musicality is very evident, even from early childhood-and it’s absolutely extraordinary.

It's just so easy to listen to Angelina. Her tone is captivating. Her subtleties and nuances make it unique. My favorite from "Old Enough" is "Now I'm the Fool", but "Good in Goodbyes" and ""Diamond" are right there as well. All the rest are close.

After this one full decade of following our Angel, I have finaly come to peace with myself in the belief that she is all true 💖 🤗

She's so good, no signature vocal fry in that version.

Her creativity in adding the soft ebb and flow of her vocal ornaments is a VIBE, not common in today's popular singers...probably because Angelina is an ARTIST; the artistry in where she can turn a pause into an unnoticed opportunity to take a small breath. She re-created this late 60's hit, but I totally concur with you Nina...she could very well have been sitting on a stool, mic standing in front of her, in a dark little club, a solo light shining on her and a guitarist hidden the shadows; a very intimate jazz club setting for sure!! I appreciate that you point out the little but obvious added touches here and there,...Combined, they give this song a fresh feel. You're very much like her in that you both find excellence in the details, that's what makes her so special, above the cut, like YOU!! Keep the hits coming, see you on the flipside, PEACE!! I really love this & it's an absolute Masterclass in vocal dynamics. Frankie Valli at 89 is still touring & performing, so I wonder what he would think of this. Jazz and dreaminess. She really conveys the meaning of the song whereas most renditions are just belting out the words.

Regarding my favorite EP song: I go back and forth between Good In Goodbyes for the bass line and All My Fault for Angelina's falsetto melisma in the second verse. What a talent!

Ivan on guitar here, so I’m pretty sure she was 12 when this was recorded.

I could spend all day looking at you looking at chords. Your delight at each morsel of music is quite infectious and enhances my enjoyment of the music. This is one of my favorites of Angelina's covers. It is so happy and peaceful and just makes you feel good.❤

Wonderful reaction to a beautiful rendition by Angelina - I do love her "breathy" voice songs.. From her EP I think Good in Goodbyes is my favourite too, if I had to pick just one.

Swoopy push and pull... She brings me to a different place, not a jazz club, but to a sandy beach with gentle waves washing in over my feet as I do nothing but enjoying life - she heals my soul with this song. My favorite from the Old Enough EP is Diamond 💎 - mostly because of the message, but also because I like the overall attitude of the music.

I'd love to hear AJ do a cover of Girl from Ipanema. Her breathy vocal would suit it perfectly.

This song suits Angelina's voice is a sentence I've heard often enough to conclude that it's Angelina who can adapt to absolutely any song you put in front of her. She seems now to have settled on a kind of snarling delivery, which frankly is not my favourite, but she is so accomplished that she can straddle several styles in one song if she chooses to. I don't know how commercial her sound will ever be but bespoke quality is seldom characterised by high volumes.

Always love her impressive phrasing but it stood out so clearly in this performance. From Old Enough, it really depends on my mood but I listen to Love Don’t Let Me Go the least.

This is one of her best imo. As always, excellent analysis!

its interesting. now that she's getting more shows,exposure and new fans in her early adult years, they're finding a mountain, a treasure trove of another life long before her current life. her first album sounds lke an old stereo lp from the 60's. yet another facet, on of many, that keep her endlessly fascinating. shes aa musical stargate where time travel is just normal.

I hadn't heard this one thanks. She's amazing and her new songs are all as incredible. My fave is Good in Goodbyes as well.

Seeing your reaction to a song I often return to, Every Time We Say Goodbye would have been enjoyable. The Norwegian presenter says they are happy to hear this before Angelina travels to the US. Nina! I just watched the Alan Papier video.. I guess this is the longest (20 sec) video when AJ sings at 18 months. Its a home docu and not texted, so its not easy to find for those not speaking Norwegian or Swedish.. She sings at 1:52 to 2:15 and is a little longer than the one Alan showed you.. We are all individuals and have different 'tastes' in music. I don't know anything about the talent or skill one has with their voice. I only know what I like or do not like.
