Just few of the reasons why I subscribed to Dr. Dan's channel 1) He reacts only after seeing and analysing the video thus it's more in-depth and educational unlike first time reactions 2) Being an excellent teacher he uses bullet points to highlight his observations and to facilitate easier learning especially for people who are more visual like me. 3) He summarises the singer's strengths and skills for viewers to focus on the areas of the singer's voice techniques and performance. 4) He points out the how and why a singer is doing what she or he is doing. Some music lovers would not consider a singer like Gigi as a great one unless she has her own original songs, either composed for her or by herself, that become international hits. Gigi has her original songs that are not very well known even in her own country but the way she covers old or new songs that are mind blowing is enough for me to regard her as a great singer. Thanks for including her in your list of few selected favorites. It somehow validates my high regard for her as not only a very versatile singer but also a great one.

even i am tone-deaf, i can still tell, first thing first, covers or own songs, Gigi is a great singer without doubt. having own original songs to be hits globally will take more than just write and sing them. you need many other factors from marketing strategies, big music agencies, promotions, great music production team, luck, where you from and blah blah blah. if we think about it, back in the old days, without the power of the internet, how many great singers with great potentials were put behind famous and fortune without being known by the public globally in their whole singing careers. it's probably countless. luckily singers like Gigi, via the internet, is being discovered by the world day by day. i just discovered her on KZread just a few days ago. anyway in global music business, you need more than just being extremely talented in order to make it big. So Gigi has all the talent, it is now up to how she can reach a global superstar status she deserves. wish her best of luck.

Filipinos are being known as the people that can sing pretty great in general. it is somewhat in their genes. BTW i am not Filipino. additionally as you said, I have been diving into Gigi's music since discovering her on KZread a few days ago. just WOW from the singing talent to the look. she should be becoming a much bigger global star as time passing.

The only song I've seen her take a big breath in is Fly me to the moon, and it was clearly partly for theatrical effect.

This is a fun vid, not my type of song for them.... I like their jazz songs. Sadly they sing more rock songs in their concerts because jazz is more of music of the rich and Philippines is not a rich country. Although I think if they sing their jazz songs, the Filipinos will enjoy them, as long as they do the really popular ones like Hopelessly Devoted To You, Saving All My Love For You, Through The Fire, If I Ain't Got You, Together Again and even my fave Oyus songs. It's sad that they sing songs in gigs that did not even get the highest Likes on their channels like Piano In The Dark, Fly Me To The Moon, L-O-V-E, and Heart of Mine.
