VN24 - Scania crane LTF 1045 lifts truck out of ditch - easy job for Kollmer's company

VN24 - 27-02-2023 (D/M/Y) - Luenen A2 / Germany - In a traffic accident on the A2 freeway westbound near the city of Luenen, a Mercedes truck left the roadway and broke through the right guardrail. Previously, there was a collision with a passenger car, which caused the truck to be distracted, and ultimately landed behind the crash barrier. The driver was apparently slightly injured. He was taken to a hospital for care. The recovery company Kollmer was called in and arrived with a light Scania/Liebherr mobile crane LTF 1045 and lifted the crashed, fully loaded truck over the guardrail back onto the road, where it could be hooked up and towed away.

Mal wieder blitzsaubere Arbeit der Firma Kollmer. Gefällt mir um einiges besser als das Herausziehen nach hinten, was Firma Horstmann bei einem ähnlichen Unfall gemacht hat. Schnell, sauber, effizient, ohne weiteren Schaden am Unfallfahrzeug. Danke @vn24 für das Video.

Ich denke abgelenkt im Sinne von aus der Spur gebracht. Ist einem Bekannten von mir auch so ergangen,je nachdem wo der Pkw dich erwischt gehst du ab in den Graben.

45 Tonnen ist bei Mobilkränen eher die Spielzeugabteilung.
Wouldn't it have been faster and cheaper if you used the winch on a tow truck and pulled the truck out the same way it came in. Even though the front end of the truck was badly damaged, it probably could have been dragged out.

I disagree on that. If you scroll through the videos, you'll find a similar accident where the truck was pulled out backwards. I find the method with the crane much more efficient and faster.

The accident could have been avoided if the driver paid attention to the road instead of turning his head to look at an earlier accident. From all the videos I have watched on your channel, 99% always seem to be down to driver error crazy
Hansetrans,die Fahrer stehen unter ständigen Druck. Diese Spedition hat immer noch nicht gelernt die Fahrer vernünftig behandeln. Aussage von ehemaligen Mitarbeiter und Kollegen.
