Yes. We can link cells using the Paste Special option.

I need ur help pls find the error on this Vlookup command which used to find the difference from the A column got B column and on C column must be A-B=C used command =VLOOKUP(A1:A72,2,A1:B71,FALSE). I think you should watch the entire video once again, practice by writing the formula shown in the video and apply it for your situation. Moreover, I recommend my videos on basics to get clear idea about writing Excel formulas.

Ofcourse we can use Employee Name in the Drop-down list. Note that first column of second argument, i.e. first column of table array should contain these Employee names. Vlookup function search for the lookup value in the first column of table array.

Select the merged cell and check the address of the cell using Excel Name Box. The same address be used while writing VLOOKUP formula.

ABS function (absolute function) and Absolute reference are different. There are 3 types of references in Excel. Relative, Mixed and Absolute. In absolute reference Row and Column index of a reference will be locked. Everyone who use Excel formulas, should know this difference to write and use formulas efficiently. Will do a video on this topic soon.

VLOOKUP is meant to return a value or values corresponding to the lookup_value or the searched value. If you want to compare the values in two different cells, you should use IF function. I have explained about IF function in the Video called 10 Most used formulas in Excel. Another way to compare data in different cells is using the = operator. For example, the formula =A1=B1 will return TRUE if the values in A1 and B1 are same and FALSE if the values are different.
