That antique market looks awesome! I so want to go so many cool items! Great haul wasn't sure about the first blouse, but after seeing it on you it's so pretty I really like the details and the way it gathers around your waist. Yeah the shoulders are a bit big. If I put a hook and eye at the front of the jacket (almost to close it) the shoulders fit better, but then the whole thing looks too boxy because you can't see the waist. I'll make it work haha maybe I can drape a smaller fur stole on my shoulders. I do that with another suit set and it works perfectly.

Hahah there is not much to it tbh, I either take it to the dry cleaners (wool for example), anything else I usually hand wash. stuff made in the late 50s+ can usually go in the washing machine (gentle cycle and with cold water). Especially stuff from the 60s, that stuff is sturdier than clothes made today lol. But the majority I hand wash like you would anything else. Hats I usually brush them to remove dust, and spot clean if necessary. oh and I also freeze everything I get secondhand for at least a week (sometimes more) when I first get it before washing. Thats pretty much it!

That was really a great shop! I truly haven't seen any that nice in a long time. I would have had a hard time leaving there. I would have wanted to stay and shop all day, lol.

What great finds!!! My favourite was the purple suit with that hat!!! It matches perfectly the band (as you said), but I would go one step further and try to match the rest of the hat with a lipstick. A plum/berry one would do or maybe just a more blue-toned deeper red?

I'm not sure where its from tbh, or what the proper term for those blouses is. I usually see them being referred to as prairie or peasant blouses. They are stunning tho !

@CarePinglo Not a lot of clothes. Some beautiful furs, though. Lots of jewelery. I got a couple of pieces. Parts of it are more like a flee market. Lol. But if you know what to pick, you know. Last time, I picked about 5 small items in my hand, they asked for $20, when I examined, one was a Givanchy pin from 1979. The joy is in finding the hidden gems. There's a lot of collectors items, like Lalique glass and fine china.

Yeah its bit big... but I'll make it work haha. I live in Canada getting stuff altered costs and arm and a leg 😂 its also a bit more fragile so I don't want to have it altered by someone who could ruin it
