ABOUT ME
My name is Kian (21), I have a quirky sense of humour, and my favourite organ is the kidney (who makes regular appearances in my videos).
Should all things go according to plan I will be graduating with my MD come 2022! My goal with this channel is to share the RAW and REALISTIC parts of being a medical student through my personal experience to better inform people who are interested in medical school...or at least make you smile
I'm still learning how to make videos and I look forward to seeing how this channel IMPROVES and EVOLVES. Constructive feedback always welcome!

Hi Kian, once the graft has been sewn into the aorta what happens to the area that was previously swollen?
@KianMDvlog
4 жыл бұрын
the graft goes inside the enlarged part of the aorta and helps reduce pressure on the previously "swollen" part of aorta making it less likely that it will burst
im thinking about burn surgery still
After shadowing al specialties do you choose which one you want to do as a career?

Why shadow in medical school? Is this not why we have clinical rotations?
@KianMDvlog
4 жыл бұрын
yes we have clinical rotations, but shadowing ahead of time can help you pick which rotations you would like to do and in what order you'd like to do them in!

KianMDvlog thank you for the reply. In the U.S. we have core rotations and electives. One of the core rotations is surgery. In electives one can do additional rotations in surgery, e.g. surgical oncology or a sub internship in surgery. I enjoy your channel but I think you should add some details on what you want to do in residency and some information on that discipline.
She looks like Conan Grey :)

I think she left for med school after 3 years or uni not 4. So she is a year younger.

My dream since I was six was to be a neurosurgeon😁
