Hi Shandana, does Regina has childcare plans for immigrants? I have 2 year old baby and my concern is that she might be out of school For a while in Canada as school system is different there than Ja. Do you have any insights in this area to Share

I don't use childcare, so I can't provide specific information. Just that it's expensive and spaces are very limited. The younger the child, the more expensive care is. There is a child benefit that can help cover the costs (depends on how much you make and after you live here for 18 months), but ‘free school’ doesn't start til 5yo. In Saskatchewan there is an additional subsidy to pay for childcare. Again, I’ve been fortunate to not have to use these services so I can’t be very helpful in that area.
