@@_tqylor thank you! my advice would be to sit lots of past papers/ exam questions! and for physics since you’re year nah not get the formula sheet, try and learn a majority of them and write them down on your exam paper as that can help you pick up marks!

@@_z.ao_3175 i used a lot of youtube analysis videos and my own notes to make general essay plans with points, quotes, language devices and detailed analysis and then learnt my essay plans and used them in the exams:)

Girl im sooo happy and proud for you, i got my results aswell last week they werent as outstanding and proud worthy as yours but i got the grades i needed to do my a-levels, which makes me soar over the moon as someone who has always struggled with retaining info and always behind of the class, seeing i was able to pass (strongly :)) made me realise as long as i put my head down and rewlly focus in a-levels i will be able to achieve the moon and back. Unfortunately i was not gifted with the brains 🧠 and that made it consistently difficult for me to keep up with my class (that all thought i was some sort of brainiac because of my glasses 👓, which only made me feel more insecure abt myself) but being able to hold my results proudly, knowing that i did it, and that i can do even better for a-levels sets my heart soaring! Quick tip for all the younger years whi are coming up to GCSES, if you are like me who used to be achieving grades 4's or 5's at secondary, i would highly recommend tuition, blurting your knowledge for each subject, and to do A BUCKET LOAD OF PAST PAPERS AND HAND IT TO UR TEACH. Or any specific wueetions u struggle with, practice those and you'll be a star at those 🌟! I wish nothing more for you then happiness, grace, love and gratefulness, you are a smart, kind, interesting young women that will do many beautiful things in the future so i wish you all the best, love me 😘 For anyone interestee in what i got, i got: English lit: 7 Eng lang: 5 (quite shocked as i usually get 7's or 8's, but it is what it is 🤷‍♀️) Maths (foundation): 5 Spanish (foundation): 4 R.E: 5 Geo: 5 Science (combined): 66 👍

you got the exact mark for a 9 in combined science that's crazy. Good job. i'm doing my gcses this summer and I feel like me and you are actually so similar with the english grades and stuff since it is my worst subject at the moment (not that you are terrible at it ofc but going off your mock results). It's stressful because im predicted an 8 in every single one of my subjects. My brain is like really logical so I tend to do better in maths and those types of subjects rather than extended writing like english. I hope you do well on your a-levels!

Good luck for Year 9! 💕 If I could tell myself one thing in Year 9 it would be to make sure you try your absolute best and put all the work in for the end of year exams as that’s like a rough guide for the school to create your class sets in Year 10. Also make sure you enjoy it, it’s a great year! :)

as a yr 11 going into sixth form next week trust me put in all the effort you can such as going to revision clubs after school, doing lots of past papers, asking your teachers for help when needed, learning the text, annotations etc, because it really does pay off. I was getting 3s in English and when I decided in the beginning towards the middle of year 11 (kinda late to start but it's never too late!! if you feel like you have wasted a lot of time never give up as you can still make a difference)that enough was enough so I went to the extra revision clubs my school made and did a lot of practise questions and learn the layout and timing of questions (practise timing its very important I lost a lot of marks in my mocks bc of timing) asked my teacher for support and I ended up with a 7 even though I was predicted a 5! never give up and don't let your mock grades determine the final outcome as they can affect your mindset a lot. I wasn't excepting anything above a 4 in English bc of them :) and gcses aren't as scary as you think trust me they are not very easy but not extremely difficult either. they are actually quite good. If any future yr 11s have any questions ask me. Year 11 was a very enjoyable year so don't make it seem like it is towards your doom.
