A main gripe I have with War Thunder is that the 1.0 tanks are so advanced already. I want more early WWII tanks, even interwar and WWI tanks. The Germans start with the Panzer III already, so many Panzer I and II variants are missing.

That's the one thing I like about World of Tanks they got a lot more options. As soon as they add Polish tanks like the 7TP and a Czech tech tree I'll probably get rid of World of Tanks.

You are correct it’s VK 30.02 M which refers to the series, weight class and manufacturer which was MANN creating a 30 ton tank.

After moving the Tiger H1 up to 5.7, they could add the Henschel Tiger prototype at 5.3. The VK36.01H would have 10 less mm of side armor than the Tiger, as well as a weaker turret that’s on par with the panther. Still would have that sweet 88mm, and if they wanted it to be less power still they could give it the PzGr 39 instead of the one with 250ish grams of tnt filler.

I like tankenstein because he plays a lot German vehicles and I also play almost only Germany! I want to ask if it’s possible to have a video about the nerfed 15 mm, 20 mm, 30 mm and 37 mm aa guns, why this happened and why there’s no explanation about it, by gaijin?! Their pen values were accurate, accept for the 37 mm that was nerfed a long time ago and to think that was only 64 mm of pen in 100 m, not much compared to the allies 37 mm gun..

Given its weaker armor I would play it more like a light tank.

I was playing with it earlier and was bouncing quite a few shots. The armour is pretty decent. Obviously not later panthers good, but decent nonetheless. It feels like a true medium tank. I still want to slap whoever thought that turret traverse was good enough.

It is basically the German M18 hell cat

This tank gave me PTSD in World of Tanks. It’s the one you get before the Tiger and I must have played hundreds of games in it painfully grinding away to get the Tiger.

It would be a whole lot more interesting if they added the rival to the 30.02M (30.01D) which is surprisingly a real-ish tank with the hull and suspension made but no turret made if i remember correctly Even more interesting if they added the 30.01P heavy tank and 36.01 heavy tank

The VK 30.01 (P) was in the game for some time. I don't remember when, but I see people use it in Tape's custom server quite often. Had 4 of em lined up next to two Maus'

No, the same armor. It only has a 20mm reduction in armor in the front of the turret and the front of the hull.

Finally A German tank that gets penned by a stock sherman

the devs on war thunder punked the armour on the vk 3002 m. The real Armour is hull- 73/41/41---------Turret 105/43/43. The tank in it's 5.0 rating sucks. Just about and tank or airplane can take it out. Worth nothing in assualt. Hell if they piss on you your dead. Only thing it has is good is the gun. Can't even defend itself from airplanes and they no it. Your attack like they do M18/ M10/M36.

MOVE TO 5.3 NOW! In Arcade at least.

I just managed to gather enough silver to buy the tiger. And this is just the thing I need to celebrate going bankrupt for the 50th time.

The gun torrent is too slow on this tank.

The turret should have rotated faster since it is a 'light' vehicle.The slowest Panther still manages around 8sec. of rotation and the best one 14+. Shame. So,it's just the mobility and the gun.

Some people really don't have problems it seems. Alot of people try to compensate failing or just their unhappiness with games. If u have this mindset and being overly competetive with war thunder i get toxic and salty and just have no fun. I always have to remember it's just game. But the other half of the truth is the toxic game design with this bullshit +-1.0 matchmaker and bias m stuff

I think the regular panther is pretty balanced anyways, it had weak points so it isn't indestructible and you have to use your brain to play it, it's gun is decent but not stupidly op, especially since it's supposed to go head to head with Jumbo's, IS2s and Pershing's, which all have similar play stats advantages and weaknesses

As a Germany main, the panther is Really good, if you know what you're doing is really devastating, same goes for the Tiger 1. You just need to understand how to play the tanks. These tanks are amazing most Germany players just don't know how to play them. Plus their guns have a great one shot power, you usually only need to shoot once. Also the Panther and Tiger from the front have very precise weak spots that are most of the time volumetric+Angle screwed. On the other hand, the Jumbo is one of the hardest things to pen. All the other tanks, I, in my experience are basically paper.

@@alvinbouquet4192 The Panther D turret traverse is shit, so it can't brawl, so it's more used towards sniping Panther A, G, and F have good turret traverse so they can brawl AND snipe This tank however, has less armor, so it's less effective at sniping, the turret traverse is also shit, so it can't really brawl and use it's mobility So how do you even use it ?

@@cenouraroxa9184 Run it more like a light tank. It still has that immaculate gun, and now it has more mobility, just less armor, though it'll still hold up as shown. Find those cheeky positions with your increased mobility and pull a sneaky shot with your gun, then, run off for another cheeky spot. It'll be harder than usual because you don't have that good of a turret rotation, but even then you can play it like an M10.

@@alvinbouquet4192 I'm an Italy player and I've learned to be wary of panthers even when I play the Pershing, most tiger players won't even aim, and end up sucking their crew out the tank with a straw, but panthers have a scary ability to hit my barrel, or my turret crew,, and since both tanks are pretty evenly matched in terms or armour and gun, most skilled (or lucky) usually wins in a brawl, infact imo panther players and Jumbo's that cover their mg port in bushes are the only real threats I face in a normal 6.3 match
