@@emmanuelcasadoone of the best decisions i’ve ever made, i installed it in my bedroom and man movies, music and even video games hit different, truly feels like an immersive experience and like you’re in the center of the sound

I love this this system. Set up took me 30 minutes including mounting the back speakers and running the wires. Brackets were just a single wall anchor and #8 screw each to install. I set the woofer right behind my couch and the back speakers 5ft 2 inches from the floor on each side behind my couch. The versatility of the different settings is really great when watching all kinds of content. The tiny woofer packs a great punch.

I have the SB3651-E6 for over 5 years now and still performing like out of the box. The app is another story, good thing I kept the remote. I’m surprised how very little design and packaging has changed, expect from the sub.

Thanks for the review! Im going try this surround sound out since im hard of hearing! I had the rockville 1000 watts it out went in 11 months. So hopefully this'll be a banger.

How is it?

I have an older version of this same Vizio 5.1 Soundbar system. Ive had mine for around 4 years now. I’ve been a big fan since day one. Sound quality is excellent. I’ve put mine though a good torture test. I’ve used it as my main outdoor Bluetooth sound system for the past 2 years. I do bring it inside when it rains. I ran 6+ hours at full volume for New Years Eve party. It kept the party going all night long and never gave up. I’ve taken the main soundbar and sub on many family trips. Convenient plug and play system. I burned out the subwoofer not too long ago. I purchased a non OEM replacement for around $20. I did temporarily run the subwoofer amp to a $100 10” subwoofer and it does have enough power for it. For comparison I have a full 7.2.2 ATMOS system with around 1600W of power. I’m still very impressed with such good quality sound in such a small package. I did gift a family member this same exact system and they love it.

Question I just bought a Logitech Z623 THX computer desktop speakers with subwoofer My friend has this Vizio 5.1 soundbar with subwoofer that's Bluetooth connectivity which you can play on your phone while the Logitech is aux plug and play my phone doesn't have an aux so it'll just be hook up to the desktop - My friend was telling me that it was really loud and now I'm curious if this Vizio setup is louder than the Logitech I just bought I haven't opened it yet in case I have to return it and get this Vizio setup instead

Ok, so the sound bar hooks into the TV via HDMI, the sub wirelessly connects, and the two rear surround speakers hook into the sub? Is that the order here? Also, we have a 50 inch Samsung TV. There are two HDMI ports on the back. We have our fire stick hooked into one of the ports. To my knowledge, we can only select one HDMI-out at a time. How does that work?

Can you mount the satellite speakers

There was a power outage last night and my V-Series stop working, did a reset and didnt helped. :(

Got mine this week , but smaller speakers seem to not work , i checked connection and nothing.

What is the V51x-J6 model like? I am afraid that its sound be very low. Vizio doesn't say how powerful the soundbar is in this regard. How about the subwoofer and how does it sound in music? Does it have a lot of power? My room is 5 meters x 7 meters and 8 meters high. s it true that you have problems with dialogues?

Is the system dual voltage?

It's a massive hassle when trying to use it for your pc sound system, but the sound is so much better than my old 5.1 Logitech system, granted the Logitechs were fantastic speakers that lasted 16+ years. I can get everything working no problem with bluetooth, but naturally there's lag that ruins the experience with wireless. I can get it working with a 3.5 mm aux cable, but there some things the 5.1 surround sound works with and some that don't. I still don't know why. I can't get it to work with HDMI-ARC because my HDMI slots are used up by my monitor. Everything would be perfect if I had an extra slot in my video card. I've settled on the AUX cable for now and occasionally switch to bluetooth when I listen to music, since there's no game or video to sync with.

No Dolby atmos right?

After setting up my V-series I'm wondering if there's a visual number reading or level for the adjustments used on the soundbar remote for treble & sub woofer? For each I only saw a + or -.

@@whitehh15 it's not a super premium product, I'd like to test the M series, but it's like 5 times better than the TV speakers. The benefits are a clear voice and the bass, the bass is great. The rear speakers don't sound very often, because the poor mixing people make in movies, series, etc. I recommend 8/10.

I just purchased this unit and I'm loving it so far except for one problem. Using the level option on the remote I increased the dialogue volume all the way to max yet I still find it a bit lacking and hard to hear for some movies. Any work around for this issue?

I find that hard to believe. Something must not be right in your setup. Dialog is very loud and as I described in my video.

I just bought it and it is amazing. Try this: Effect VRT:X Off, TruVol Off, Surnd ON. And returns all the levels to middle position. Last thing change EQ to direct. Try and see if it helps.

Thanks guys! I had it figured out in the remote control settings. Simply go to dialog and dial up the volume.

So I can't tell from the specs on the website and it hasn't been clearly defined. It LOOKS to me as though the satellite speakers wire up to the subwoofer. Is this the case? or are the satellite speakers ALSO wireless? Last question, have you (or anyone else in the comments) noticed any interference with other wireless devices in the room? I currently have a JBL system that has a wireless sub AND wireless satellite speakers and I often get interference on the subwoofer. Thanks, great video.

Thanks for the review. I just bought one off Amazon yesterday to use in my newly built Pergola in my backyard. It's fully covered so it should do fine outside (hopefully). I still haven't decided whether I will put the sub near the tv or opposite side. Either way, will need to either run longer speaker wire (which I am leaning towards) or run power on the opposite side of the Pergola and be able to use the speaker wire it came with.

I got the same bar. The front worked ok but once the rear speakers got plugged in no more front sound. Did a factory reset and still nothing. Any idea?

Trying to adjust the treble and bass of this unit. Update: the problem with the bass was that I place the subwoofer in a corner, bad idea. Now is sounding good.

These 5.1 systems are faultless 99% of the time and most of the time, it is placement of the speakers relative to how it sounds.

@@allfacts19 I put the subwoofer on the other side of the couch, it has enough room on that side to breathe. Behind the subwoofer has a hole, I put it so that it does not point at a corner, since the subwoofer sounds bad when placed in corners or near the joints between walls and the floor.

One of the reasons I want to buy this is also because of the Nintendo Switch and PS5, since there's no other way to get 5.1 sound from those consoles, for the lack of optical output. But did it really work?. I think you have to hook the Nintendo directly to the soundbar and then the soundbar should have a video output to the TV. I researched for hours and that's what I could figure out. How did it work for you?. The nintendo switch has a sound test option, did it really give you 5.1 sound?.

I used the eARC cable going to the TV, then plugged my PS5 and Switch to the TV. Did a surround test on both console’s and it works! (My PS5 is a new purchase.. bought it to play RDR2.. wow what a game!) PS: your TV has to be 5.1 compatible for this to work.. this is why I bought my new Bravia.

Did you notice any audio lag when on either console? I'm considering buying this system since I'm using a Bluetooth speaker now and it has a noticeable audio lag. Since the sub and the rear speakers of the Vizio are wireless, I want to make sure this won't be a issue. Thanks.

It’s wired. The cables run from the subwoofer to each speaker. And they give you real long cables.

My mom is hard of hearing, can this system get pretty loud? Especially the rear speakers? And would she be able to hear tv shows and news from all surround speakers at the same time? Thank you for great review!

I wanted to like this system… but even with the subwoofer turned all the way down and night mode enabled there is a constant rumble. Game mode reduces it the most, but it makes the voices sound off. Found out on Reddit that all of them have this issue. I will be returning mine.

With the levels option inside the remote.. you can kill the sub almost completely. Leave at lowest setting and you’ll barely hear it.

I have two of these systems because they are so amazing. You can completely turn down the subwoofer using the supplied remote. Our bedroom the sub is near the bed, can complete tame it down or even minimized to not hear it at all.

@@jannell03 Then it is working correctly. True 5.1 surround sound vocals should come from the center channel.

Just got mine from Amazon. Did not include an optical cable, or instructions for that matter.. Which is why I'm here to begin with. Disappointing as hell, I've always been a Vizio truther, but this is not a good look.

@@redonred0924 You don't need optimal when you're using eARC (or HDMI) because it is for sound and video together. @VortexDroid1 It's plenty loud.. it sounds like WAY bigger speakers. You won't know till you own one.

You missed a bunch of detail

When someone says it sounds better than the TV, we know that is a very low bar to compare to. It's such a turn off saying that. It doesn't inspire much confidence in the product being reviewed.

You simply make the video the way you please without knowing or, as you say, " asking" what folks want to see and hear. If it's a 100x better than a tvs sound, then say that. Don't say at least it's better than the TV sound. That doesn't tell us much.
