You need to hit the cal button again , while it's flashing, to change from 6.86 to 4.01

i just received ths item , and i was wondering what im going to do after i calibrate it . i love you man i wish a nice start for your channel. thanks i have a question after i use this vivosun ph meter and wash it with distilled water , how do i save it ? just put the cup on and leave it in the originally case it deliverd ? or do i have to use some kind of starge electrode solution , i read so many different things online and i got confused. thank you again

Hey there! For storage I lightly shake and dry the meter just like in the video, put the cap on, and leave it on my table. I use the meter every two to three days. When I want to be sure its still accurate, I put the tip in the 6.86 solution and see how far off it is. If its more than two tenths of a point off I'll do the three point calibration again. @@kwtsospapavrousis The TDS meter is factory calibrated and works right out of the box. There are TDS meter calibration solutions you can buy. lets say you buy a 400ppm solution. You would switch to PPM mode and put the meter in the solution. If your meter reads something other than 400ppm, lets say its 407ppm. Then you would push and hold the calibration button for 5 second and when the screen starts to flash you use the up and down labeled keys to move from 407 down to 400ppm. Its not common to need to re-calibrate this meter, maybe once a year.

@@weedgineer7970 the vivosun tds meter im not sure but i think you cant calibrate it on ppm , the only way to calibrate it according to another youtube video i have watched says to calibrate it with 1413 Calibrate solution because this meter dont calibrate on ppm but calibrate on EC. do you know anything more specific about this ? thank you brother again

@@kwtsospapavrousis When I checked with Vivosun their claim is that the TDS meter does not need to be calibrated. So, they don’t offer instructions on how to do it. To test this I set up a jar of liquid nutrients at 900ppm. That jar has read the same 900ppm for several months.

How much biopharm solution to water?? Thanks for any help

None. Its meant to be use without mixing so the values are perfect. As long as you close the bottle after each use it should stay accurate.

I got the biopharm solution and it 7.0, 4.0, and 10.0 not 6.86, 4.0, 9.18. Does this matter?

Hmm, did you use the link in the video description? It takes you strait to the 4, 6.8, 9.18 solutions. If they sent the wrong ones you should be able to exchange them.

said 6.85 before u put it in wtf

Looks like it was reading 7 in the first solution before calibration. If you’re talking about at some other point its probably cause I had to do a part more than once because I stumbled my words or spilled something 😂

Hope you ended up with something that works. These are cheap… so far I have had two that have worked for years. I got the second one after holding my first upside down when wet and then it glitched out… but some months later i tried it again and it was working fine, guess it just needed to dry out.

These r china made cheap low grade ph meter, don't expect too much from them

If it were 10-15 years ago I'd completely agree with you. However, being a production engineer in robotics and automation, I can say with absolute confidence that products manufactured in China have come leaps and bounds. The Chinese companies are stepping up their game. Take neotec chainsaws. They produce German sthil clones that are machined just as well out of materials that are quality materials than their competitors, if not better in some instances. They're doing this to a degree that they are able to increase the price of their products to start reflecting that.
