I moved from the Z Fold 4 to the Global V2 last month and couldn't be happier. The deal on Three UK ended up being £734 for the V2. For that it's the slimmest foldable, full Global with Google apps, full pen support which works great, full desktop mode and wireless desktop mode all of which are my non-negotiables for living one device with lapdocks and portable monitors. It's going to be a while before there's a better alternative!

I one-up you: Honor Magic V2 Ultimate Edition 16GB/1TB configuration. China-only availability with 2 years (China only) warranty (bought when I'm in China), and with FULL Google support (it's Google Play Store certified!). Still the BEST, THINNEST, and LIGHTEST foldable in my opinion ...

Thanks for the video. Some advice. The ridiculous claims by manufacturers stating any phone screen gets 3000, 4000 + nits of brightness is beyond stupid and incredibly misleading. That’s in like 1% of the actual screen and only in very specific situations. It’s perfectly fine to list those specs, but when doing comparisons, please give your interpretations of the actual perceived brightness differences versus just the differences in specs listed on paper.

My vivo x fold PLUS has been very good with its periscope camera, is the vivo x fold 3 periscope AND speakers any better?

Google pay you need to change the default from vivo wallet. Then it works fine. I think I tend to delete the vivo one so it does not switch back.

I got my vivo fold 3 pro few minutes ago. I setup the google pay and I used it at the store. It works completely fine on my mastercard no problem

can someone pls clarify.I have the honor v2 chinese with google update but no android auto. Does the chinese x fold 3 pro have same or its the old alternative Gbox etc needed which s a no go for me due to delays and notifications etc? Android auto i can live without but not the rest

Sorry for the late reply, the replacement of the screen indeed took about 3 weeks, and only costed me 65 euros for sending, that's including insurance

For me the Pixel Fold wins easily.

When I got my honor v2 I got £500 cash back, plus £164 for my old pixel 7 and free set of free bluetooth head phones rrp£450 give or take. For me this gives the honor magic v2 the win. The phone has been great no problem most days I finish with about 40% battery left I am not a heavy user of my phone so it good to know I can push it more if I wanted to

I feel like the price should be compared with the China version of Honor Magic V2 though... Kinda? The difference becomes a lot less at that point. Also, not sure why but in my currency the price difference between V2 and X Fold 3 is way less, i tried calculating it and it ends up being that the X Fold 3 in the 16/512 version is 164 GBP cheaper. (Than Global V2, with Chinese ROM the difference is even less). I think the Vivo seems slightly nicer, but that thing with not having Google Pay is killing for me. Haven't used any debit or credit cards in stores for months because i only use Google Pay.

If toy paid attention then you would know that the software round would have also gone to Vivo if it was against chinese V2 so complete whitewash as chinese V2 is still more expensive than x fold 3! you are aso wrong on price... i literally showed the prices on screen! thanks for watching but maybe don't come back

And not the full Screen afaik. I'd love to see which one is brighter at casual KZread or Netflix Video. I hated my Fold4 at bright Sunlight cause im not seeing a S... :D

Vivo and Honor are nice... BUT there is just something different with the OnePlus Fold software experience that I cant just get enough off. That phone with a better design (especially the camera + BMW android auto support) would be a just perfect.

I have Honor Magic V2. Front glass is really weak. I cracked my front screen twice already even though I put screen protector on it 😢. Look forward to change it to Vivo X Fold 3 as I have seen rigorous drop test on the phone.

Not sure if it is true - a sales personnel told me that I need to occasionally unfold the HM V2 so that the hinge doesn't get kaput prematurely as that the hinge may not be covered by the extended warranty if it's owner's fault. She further advised that I should unfold the V2 while charging. 1st time I heard the aforesaid. What do you think?

Can I just say that if the Vivo was global it wouldn't be running OriginOS? I don't know why Vivo insists on having 2 different software

I have Vivo xfold1 and honor v2 and both are using now.. As daily user v2 is better bcz its light weight and slim good battery back up. Should be improve the software. Vivo1 quite thick bit heavier.. And big screen compare to v2 and zfold5

Great Video. I don't understand why Vivo only sell this in China. I get they have to sell at a premium price if they release it globally but a China only release puts it against Huawei Foldable phones and they are out of this world. I guess Chinese people must buy Vivo phones over Huawei but I struggle to fully understand why. Maybe I'm missing something 🤷🏻‍♂️

The question is whether I get a global release from India or Indonesia, or I bite the bullet and get the China version which I will have to heavily tinker under the hood to keep working with my Google services and connected devices.

I have tested also on a couple of recent phones as well, oppo x7 ultra, xiaomi 13 ultra, honor magic 6 pro and other all with factory Chinese rom. I can load on Google wallet successfully 2 different cards of my local banks and also curve card. Google pay contactless payment flawlessly works thanks.
