I have the OnePlus open. I think it's the best foldable on the market. And you can't beat a hasselblad camera either.

@@Truth7860 I went with Honor v2. Cameras are not a priority for me. Software slightly better on my OP12 but Honor is fine too.

Just got my Android 14 and magis OS 8.0 yesterday. Even more polished user experience.

Last time I decided to watch Mark's review I had to buy Bose qc ultra earbuds as he was so impressed. And - that was a perfect buy, I do enjoy these earbuds. So now Mark recommends Honor - my wallet is a bit scared.

Do you care about cables? If you want absolute sound quality Fiio fh5 and BTR7 DAC amp. It'll be the best sounding thing you've ever heard by far

@@mitchhifi9192I listen to music mainly in metro, thus ANC is my priority. And - yes, cables are an issue, I live in Russia and more than 6 months a year we wear lots of clothes. Thus I feel Bose earbuds are the best choice for me.

LOVE the review, I've been using this as my back-up phone since September and I LOVE how light it is. So much in fact that i prefer using this over my Pixel Fold(great phone, but REALLY HEAVY). I just ordered a Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. I definitely LOVE foldables and dont think I can go back to slab phones. 📱📱❤️❤️❤️❤️

@@deltaechomusicnh555 I LOVE them both, the Honor Magic V2 is a little bit lighter but the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has a better camera(probably the BEST one on a foldable), wireless charging, and XP8 water proofing & is dust proof. The Vivo X Fold definitely has that "FINISHED" feel etc. But both are FANTASTIC 📱📱🤳🤳

Aparemtly it also has stylus support, would love to learn more about that...

Honor Magic v2 Porsche edition and Huawei mate x5 , One plus open could be the best Foldable of the year . I am a samsung knight and I admit Samsung has hard work to do w the z fold 6

The pixel was going to be perfect but i hate the soc and lack of stylus support. I wish more foldables would copy that form factor

I amm a fold 4 Owner,I amm using mySpenna lott , does Vz have a functioning pen like Spe , not just for writinga note or I drawing but for handwriting 2. does it have a desktop mode like dex 3. how is the software Comparable to one UI

I like foldable phones, I still have my Samsung Galaxy Fold 3, which I really like. However, I've gone back to slab phone designs just because I find it easier to use in the hand, and because the cameras are better. I don't think I'll go back either, it's very expensive to invest in a device that's not your first choice design.

Would you recommend this for £1100?

Was Seriously considering one of these and the honor site are doing some great deals, but no wireless charging 😢wtf.!!

Its cool and all except over time the spine is going to fail and then you will have a line at the fold that doesn't work anymore....

Foldable phones are 'large screen phones' or just 'a small tablet' (it depends on one's preferences and/or needs)

This and the mate x3 made me do a double take on foldables. No other foldable device has nailed the actual foldable bits, form factor and ergonomics to my eye at least. I still find them ridiculously expensive and I still have doubts of how usable the foldable display is. I mean sure, it has its use cases but I dont think it makes up for the prince hike compared to slab phones. I don't find foldable to be the best direction to evolve smartphone towards, but I guess if corpos are set on pushing it that way at least Honor and Huawei have already manage to make a foldable not look and feel like a gimmicky prototype.

Old Snapdragon inside + twice the China price. Why does honor not sell the phone at similar price as in China? They could add also the taxes... Even then this phone should not cost more than 1389€. So...

My carrier has it for 949€, condition being I have to stay with them for 2 years, which I'm fine with.

Would be the best foldable, if only.. 1) no controls when using cover screen as viewfinder 2) terrible updates policy - Android 14 was released more than half a year ago - both Vs and V2 do not still have it and will not soon

I cannot WAIT for you to get the one plus open...because it CRUSHES this phone...which is saying something because this foldable seems pretty good.

I agree. The OnePlus Open with those Hasselblad cameras are killer. Honor may be thinner but spec for spec, performance and UI totally destroy the Honor. 6x lossless zoom with the 64mp sensor, both 20mp & 32mp selfie cameras, Open Canvas... It's just a better overall package. I'm on my 3rd month with it and it's amazing!!

Wanted a foldable phone when they first come out. But i said to myself wait for the technology to get better for the screen. I think now's about time to dip my toe in.

Multi-tasking seems pretty intuitive. Love how it folds flat. Also love how orange the Lite is. The real question though is how well does it emulate DS/3DS games? Foldables seem perfect for that.

Photos look a bit over saturated to me

Best foldable yet the video quality at the start is so low.

Broken live wallpapers, Video editor limited to one edit line at a time, no Network support in the files manager, sub par speakers and sound quality, No APTX Lossless . I'm wondering why I replaced my Mate 20X with this phone already. Honor are taking Huawei software and crippling the functionality . Magic OS8 better resolve these issues or this will be my last Honor device. The software shouldn't be behind my 5 year old Huawei phone, it should be 2 years ahead.

You can buy it for silly price of 2000€... That's crazy expensive. Does not worth. 6 months ago this phone launched in China for 8999 CNY = 1167€. Even if you add taxes cannot be more than 1389€. That's a big gap between the 2 prices. Does NOT worth!

A bit pricey for not having an IP rating and wireless charging. However, I do love how thin this phone is. The technology on these foldable phones are getting better and better.

does the v2 also have a desktop mode like samsung dex? and can I use a stylus? That would be two more interesting points...

@Visual_Ghoul still hold on better than any other fone, when it comes to sell this you be lucky to get a 3rd off price also I can't imagine build quality would be as good, that's why only one network in UK has taken it on

Thanks Mark. Have struggled to find non biased reviews as the model has only just released in UK. Hardware this is hands down best foldable, I have a fold4 and the only thing stopping me getting this is I expect the software to fall short of Samsungs foldable............ so on the fence. Do I bite the bullet?

If I ever considered Android phones, a big no no for this one would be the lack of wireless charging and no water resistance. Design over function a big fail here.

I’ve tried more than once and every time I come back just because I’m so far in with Apple gear. The phone I’d be all in on switching butI’m not prepared to switch other devices to make it work.
