This phone is AMAZING! I’m primarily an iPhone guy who has tried a few flips and foldables along the way (flips 3&4, folds 4&5, Oppo find N2 and Pixel Fold) while always using my iPhone as my main phone. However after getting this phone a couple of weeks ago I finally sold my iPhone 15 Pro Max and are using the Vivo XFold 3 Pro full time. This is the 1st phone in years that gets me excited to use it 😊

I know what you mean. My primary phone is an iPhone 14 Pro and I have been using the fold 4. Since reviewing the VIVO foldable I have put away the Samsung fold 4 and i'm very tempted to make this my daily driver. It's an impressive smartphone.

According to floss cater , the Chinese version has bloot ware can't delete. Global doesn't have it.

Why don't they sell the device in the US? I have the One Plus Open, and it was a hit here. I felt it was even better than my Z Fold 5. There is a market here for the Chinese foldables in which they could tap into and do well. One plus Chinese phone has shown the way. We only have Samsung, Google and One Plus.

thinner is nothing use, just cause more hard to unfold the phone and hard to hold it. Dont drop into china brand trap.

You're wrong about the water resistance. IPX8 means it has a proper rating for water resistance, not splash resistance. IPX8 just means it has no ingress protection against dust.

Yes your right, but i was trying to specify that the water resistance is only applicable under specific conditions. IPX8 is static freshwater depths, of upto 1.5m and temp difference of 5 degrees between water and device. That's why its not a very reliable water resistance rating. Here is Vivo's small print on their official site. 8. This product is rated as IPX8 for splash and water resistance under IEC standard 60529 and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions. The resistance to splashes and water is not permanent and may be reduced due to daily use. Do not charge the mobile phone when it is wet. Refer to Safety information in Settings for cleaning and drying instructions. Damage due to liquid ingress is not covered by the warranty. The IPX8 rating means the product has passed the test under the following conditions: Submerged in static freshwater at a depth up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes, with a temperature difference between the water and the device less than 5℃.

Yes, there is. Global version recently launched in India and Indonesia. But with Funtouch os instead of origin os.

Nice, but huge, expensive gamble. No retail store where you can purchase, and certainly no vivo stores for repairs. Fk sending g it back to China to get it fixed lol.

The thing that drives me nuts on every fold other than samsung is the inner and outer screens have to be the same. So stupid and you would think an easy thing to change

still I pre-order fold 6 with ultra 7, HK$17502. we wont use china brand mobile, never~ we know what it is.

Yes the VIVO is better: VIVO has bigger screen, higher PPI, brighter display, slimmer and lighter, bigger battery and faster wired and wireless charging, also higher resolution front cameras and faster SD Gen 3. It's more powerful and feels better in the hands. Even the cameras produce better results in the VIVO foldable. Design wise side by side the OnePlus open looks outdated. Vivo has stepped up its design, making this the most comfortable and slimmest foldable smartphone in 2024.

I recently had a choice between the two, and I chose OnePlus because: 1) Its multitasking features are unparalleled. Open Canvas allows us to use up to three apps in full screen. 2) Vivo's camera on the main screen (when unfolded) was of very low quality. Overall, I preferred the OnePlus camera. 3) OnePlus has a fingerprint sensor on its side lock button, which I liked more than Vivo's dual fingerprint sensor. 4) Brand value (this one can be completely ignored as it isn't that important, but I did consider it). I was buying a folding phone mainly for multitasking, which OnePlus handled most effectively! If multitasking is not your main priority, you might seriously consider Vivo. It looks prettier and really classy, and it also has new AI features. Additionally, the camera on the main screen may not be used much, and the rest of the cameras are good!

Wait till u see Honor Magic V3. Even thinner!

Unlike you guys who all live on planet bananas, spending unnecessary money, in the real world four years later, I'm still enjoying both of my $2000 Samsung Z folds 1&2 that still sparks up a decent conversation in public like it did today at the gas station, when the guy behind the counter who saw my Z fold 2 and was in awe and started asking me a bunch of questions about my phone. $4000 in phone devices and I'm so done....#nopointstoprove.

Have you tried the Honor magic V2 ? , im pretty sure its thinner then this , it might be worth a look.

I had the note 20 ultra for four years now, absoluty the biggest gimmeck in smartphones, you rarely and I mean rarly use it! It only fun for the first week, say month, but no more. I bought the vivo x fold 3 pro for two weeks now. Miles and miles ahead of anything i've seen before!
