VIVIANNE MIEDEMA'S FINAL MATCH WITH ARSENAL! BETH MEAD NOT HAPPY AND MAKES IT KNOWN HOW SHE FEELS!

Timestamp
0:00 - 0:24 We recorded this video about 3 days ago before Viv's last game - But wanted to make mention of her last game here
0:25 Viv Scored! Beth Assisted! Fairytale ending in that regard. Very Emotional
1:01 Chelsea did win the WSL title. Maybe another video later
1:11 Part of this video will focus on whether Beth is going to leave Arsenal
1:32 As Viv and Beth were leaving the game today, Beth said she isn't going anywhere
2:00 Her contract ends in 2025
2:18 Emotional day
2:30 Such a rollercoaster! Happy, sad, everything
3:12 Start of the video we recorded a few days ago
3:28 Viv leaving, most people are not happy
3:48 Beth doesn't seem happy. Sometimes players leave and it's 100% their decision. By all accounts, this doesn't seem to be the case
4:22 What does this mean for Beth and Viv as a couple? Dog moms
4:44 We know Beth isn't happy by her Twitter behavior - Players will like things so they don't have to say it themselves
5:05 We read a tweet that Beth liked on Twitter
5:23 We can put together what she is saying with that tweet
5:40 She has unliked it, but it was on purpose why she liked it
5:58 These players' likes mean something
6:10 Katie McCabe also liked something on Twitter that is significant
6:39 This speaks to the narrative that they are all not happy - Beth had an interview, and you can tell she isn't happy, she looks upset
7:38 Maybe she's trying to leave now? (not the case apparently) But some wild things are going on!
8:32 How sweet would it be if they both went to Man City and beat Arsenal!? Also, Say Lucy Bronze ends up there too!
9:00 Viv posted Instagram stories about mental health and dealing with things
9:44 Very healthy. Also has Beth to help
10:00 Beth's sweet message to Viv - Viv loves Beth so much
10:27 Ellen White had some words for Viv and Arsenal!
11:00 People are stunned and shocked
11:14 Let's talk again about the shove with Jonas and Viv. It should be investigated?? as it's never okay to touch a player
12:00 EMMA HAYES WAS RIGHT?!!!! She sussed him out? She knew all along!
12:55 Did Viv actually want to leave? Viv doesn't seem to like Jonas
13:21 We read a comment about that situation
14:25 Viv went to Arsenal and wanted certain conditions?? and she wanted to come back, but those conditions would not be met, so Arsenal said no?
15:15 Arsenal also said Sabs is leaving too!!
15:45 Arsenal piling on the posts on Instagram to bury the Viv stuff?
16:10 Anti-Jonas comments - People are VERY sad!!!! Saying goodbye to her!
16:49 Beth doesn't do long distance? In her book, it said so? She's changed?

I had assumed Miedema's knee was going to be a long term problem, like Sam Mewis or Christen Press. Yesterday she looked better than any time since she had covid at the Euros. Absolute madness letting her go. Irreplaceable

I think everyone was surprised when Arsenal gave Jonas another long contract extension this year because he hasn't been that great recently, some very questionable tactics. They have a fantastic squad and should be up there with the likes of Chelsea. I really hope Viv continues to play in the UK, don't care what team, I'll always support her. Lucy Bronze got me into watching international women's football, and Viv got me into watching domestic football. All-time top scorer in the WSL and ultimate GOAT 🙌

that was premature from the Arsenal hierarchy...2021/22 gave us a glimpse, he bottled the league losing to Birmingham, drawing at home to Utd and Spurs. those are sackable offences 💯 but what did Arsenal do? reward that with a new contract.. Fast forward 23/24..'Arsenal bottle the league losing to Pool in day one infront of 51k Emirates crowd, lose to Westham and Spurs and draw to Utd and Everton, Mishandling player's devpt. Gio, Kühl, Maanum's decline and the cherry on top, chuck out Viv for Stina. Wheatley and Jonas will be the death of Arsenal, unless actual success becomes an Arsenal consistency. It's CL& WSL or burst, now more than ever

Some random thoughts: EH was out of order, completely, in that shove with Jonas. The problem with that clip of Jonas and Viv is not the fact that he touched her, it's how dismissive he seems towards her. Managers have to be able to touch players in a non-sexual way. What if the reason they are letting Viv go is that they have bought someone else in her position, nothing to do with a permanent falling out between them? All of this is speculation about Jonas. Trial by internet is wrong and impossible when we don't have all the facts. One thing we do know is that letting Viv go is definitely a BIG mistake, especially if she goes to City. They will absolutely regret it. What are the odds on Jonas being sacked after a heavy defeat to City in which Viv scores multiple goals?

Viv has always been very vocal about the over-scheduling and stress on players and reforms/improvements needed in the sport. I don't know that this has a direct bearing on Arsenal letting her go but anyone who's worked for awhile knows that the person who speaks out on behalf of fellow workers is often viewed as a troublemaker by management. I think it's admirable myself, but it can also lead to the bosses impeding your career.

You're absolutely right about management. A company I worked for had three women reduced to tears by the same supervisor thinking the manager would be appalled I went, as union rep to make the women's case, wrong! They started hounding me and refused to acknowledge I worked there when I was looking for a reference. Sorry if this sounds like too much of a personal rave, but there was a happy ending. One of the women, Marilyn, had $A2000 owing we discovered, didn't look like they were going to tell her, but she took the money and left. Now I'll get to the point if Viv is going to victimised in the soccer world, well we all have voices. I know if I write to Arsenal, I won't get a reply, but thousands of letters with VIV on the outside will make a point. 70 years supporting Arsenal and I'm wondering if I want to watch the women's team with Jonas in charge, I have no confidence in him and much as I love the team, won't be watching I feel it will be frustrating and disappointing with him in charge.

Did anyone else catch someone screaming something disparaging about Jonas during the presentation? It was hard to miss given the silence of the ceremony. We fans ain't happy. Guessing that in two years time this squad will be entirely different. If you notice, the younger players coming up in the squad, it is clear Jonas is trying to bring in a new era. But, on the flip side, such is Football. It's such a short career run to be done by age 35. Further, gotta say, I haven't liked him since the jump. The Lesbian Separatist in me that has a built in "this man is sus' radar started going off for him almost immediately after he was hired. The Manu situation, him screaming at Martha Thomas at a Spurs match, saw him keep a ball away from an oppositional player to kill the clock at a match, his management style, yelling at Erin, etc. I think Emma was 100% spot on her assessment of him, it was her reaction that was impulsive & unprofessional, true, but she wasn't wrong about him. And I found it interesting how quickly ppl threw her under the bus regarding that situation when her track record is VERY spot on. She's smart & doesn't take any shit, straight shooter. Always SO quick to demean the woman in a situation w/o looking at his track record. Ppl don't pay attention to the patterns, & have short memories unfortunately. I feel he has some classic male ego control issues going on. His actions often, to me suggest it's about him, not the squad. It would be interesting to hear how other managers view him in general.

nah, when Hayes blatantly _lied_ about the referee in the semi against Barca being "card happy", she confirmed that she's got a petty side _and_ is a bit of a sore loser. (and there are further examples of this) The referee in question has a _lower than average_ rate of handing out cards in the UWCL. Like everyone - both Hayes and Eidevall have flaws. They're humans. Might be Eidevall has some of the flaws suggested, but is it supported by objective evidence - or are speculative assertions made easily online because none of us face any risk by doing so? To Hayes track records indicate she _is a better coach_ overall - the trophies and tables cannot be denied. It is _very_ unlikely this is the first - or last - time that players end up having to leave a club that still retain their partner. And to be fair, _it is not_ the responsability of a place of work to reconcile how plans for the future affect personal relationships. It might be _wise_ to strive for resolving both, but it can never have the same priority. In every line of work one takes on additional _personal_ risks if entering a love relationship with a work colleague.

I imagine if Viv does goes to Manchester and it is a long-distance situation, they'll try and work it out but if things get hard, I could see Beth pushing for someone (i.e., Man City or ManU) to buy out the rest of her contract in the January transfer window and to transfer her closer to Viv, or to maybe get Arsenal to loan her out (though I think being on loan would be highly unlikely). Otherwise, they'll just focus on the fact that this is temporary but them as a couple is forever and just try to get through the year until Beth can leave next year. If Viv only does a one-year contract somewhere, it'll be interesting next year to see where they both go- if Viv comes to a London team (if not already there- ManCity is still just a rumor) and if Beth stays at Arsenal, or if Beth leaves regardless of if Viv is at a London team or not. Either way, I'm hoping they can recognize this is short-term and that each other is forever and that they can make it through this. Their history with Daan and Lisa both moving to different clubs and then the rel. ending soon after though makes me slightly nervous, but ultimately it doesn't affect us in any way lol.

Observations: 1. Yes, Arsenal have messed up big time here. 2. As far as the relationship between Beth and Viv is concerned, while Spurs would be the ideal move logistically, from a fan perspective, it would obviously be the worst thing possible. Chelsea would be second worst. West Ham... would Viv want to take that much of a step down at this stage in her career? 3. Emma Hayes was wrong to do what she did, particularly as it was her choice to only use one ball at the final.

Probably around valentine's day. Viv played 71 minutes against Liverpool and scored the 1st goal upon ACL return, then 63 minutes against west ham. Then February 17th against ManUnited, she played only 15 minutes for some reason... March was supposedly another knee surgery but who knows....i didn't see a knee brace or crutches when arsenal won conti cup in march. Then a paltry insulting 8 minutes against Leicester on april 21. Zero minutes at everton and where the shoving from jonas occurred. And then she played her final game against brighton subbing in 62nd minute. So it seem like things got icy after west ham/manUnited

While Beth's track record is 0-2, I think there's still hope they will stay together. As you age and mature and gain wisdom, you might not necessarily repeat the same decisions from your past younger self. It's pretty hard letting go of someone who supported you through your mom's passing and long term ACL injury rehabilitation, did a documentary with, accompany you to multiple prestigious awards, who you wrote about all over your memoir and raised a puppy together. Maybe Viv is the one. Maybe it's the one worth fighting for or at the very least endure a long commute to see 🙂

I imagine it works largely the same in the women's game, if she can find a team willing to pay for the release clause Beth can go anytime within a transfer window. It's possible that Viv isn't part of future plans they finished 3rd without her which isn't a bad result. As for the manager I don't know him and I'm not going to judge on vague reports, I watched the game where Emma Hayes just barged through him which was childish in my opinion. Hello Sarah and Sara. Sad to see Beth looking sad. I get the feeling that for financial reasons clubs will try not to have couples, so their contract negotiations are straight forward, after Emma Hayes' previous comments. Also if the club is off to Australia to make money, Viv's recent comments about FIFA pushing players beyond their fitness limits for extra profit would not be seen as compatible, so no surprise to me that she is going. Have you seen the U17 women's Euros? The next generation of players, brought up as professionals from the start, is already on the books. These youngsters look like they will soon be competing for the places of the older players, schooled on what the clubs expect of them and without what the clubs will see as "baggage". Only the other week Everton's equaliser against Arsenal was scored by a sixteen year old. I cannot help but think of the song lyrics "Take a bow for the new revolution, Smile and grin at the change all around". P.S. for US think Lily Yohannes. Sam Mewis just did an interview with her. FIFA want players the kids can identify with. The new pop stars.

That would say that something reliable and fit for purpose is better than something that can be excellent, but has a history of mechanical failure. Dutch players also have a reputation of being troublesome and potentially disruptive. Who is to say the next manager, or the next one after that would be acceptable. You cannot let players pick managers or you end up like Leeds United men's team in 1970s, as I have commented before. Huge club, at that time the biggest club, massive potential, all thrown away. I reckon Arsenal would see the money as better spent on young players like Isabella Fisher.

Not a good look fer her heading to the States with their history. Before you continue down the your line that Jonas is a bully or a woman abuser consider the narrative you are developing. In order to develop The Arsenal women's team more so called big names will have to leave or adapt. Have a look at the club's culture especially Mikel Arteta interviews.

This is the big downside to being a couple in a team especially one as high profile as Viv and Beth. When there is an issue with one the other will clearly be effected. I’m not nor will ever be a Jonas fan. To me he’s the wrong fit for the Arsenal dna. Viv loves that club and I could see her coaching there in the future. No coincidence that all if not most of the players have had serious injuries under his tenure. A coincidence I think not just bad coaching. The players that have had serious injuries seem to be ones that have club champions league and internationals. To me they should have a different training program created or individualised. I know city is the big favourite for Viv but I hope she goes to a team like Tottenham where she can mentor players on the up. If Tottenham can sign Grace Clinton and Viv next year under Robert Vilahamn (a good coach) they can really build something. Ultimate revenge Tottenham beating their local rivals. Beth and katy can come when there contracts are up at Arsenal. 😊

Viv pointed out something about Arsenal's medical and support staff system. its not as rosy as we make it to be. Now any trophyless season under Jonas will be magnified and all this bad publicity for the club will not help at all. We'll see how this impacts the team..Sacrificing Viv for Stina, will it yield any success for Arsenal.

As professional players, they should really keep their private lives out of football! We all should know that even though it’s hard . The way arsenal has acted is not good though

Sentiments aside football is a business and I'd think that the club would push to protect all of their assets and tie them down to new contracts. As much as it hurts, it seems that due to Viv's last injury her legs might me gone so the club opted to move on from her. She isn't seen as an asset worth keeping.

people might think that but then everyone was saying that yesterday she looked back to her best. she's never had much pace anyway so her game doesn't rely on that, it's all about skill, composure and awareness. I agree that people have very short memories if they think she's an asset not worth keeping. there's literally a statue of her at the Emirates

I think it's a bit shady to suggest Emma Hayes was right to aggressively push Eidevall, she's the only one who acted with direct physical force and should have been punished for it. The tactile issue is an interesting one, in sports coaches hug, put their arms around players' shoulders or their hands on their arms but that doesn't make these necessarily aggressive or sexual acts, regardless of gender. I get that this a touchy subject though and there's a fine line which shouldn't be crossed. I don't envy EIdevall having to deal with multiple player relationships in the workplace. I can't imagine that the McCabe-Foord /Walti synergy is too good and that seems to have translated to a lack of performance on the field.

Yeah, a few others said the same thing - that saying anything other than Emma's actions were wrong is also wrong. I think that's a really good point that I didn't get right before. Looking back, I probably should have just left out that part or made it clear how messed up what Emma did was!! may mention it in the next video!

Ok so for those fans gullible enough to believe Arsenal didn’t offer Viv a contract but allowed her to leave on a free ! Get a grip 🤪 What ever the personal relationship between Viv & Jonas is, playing football is a job and how many of us adore our boss ! To be absolutely honest Jonas like all managers wants first and foremost to win games and if you honestly believe he doesn’t recognise that Arsenal have a better chance of doing that with Viv in the squad than without her you don’t understand the business of football. The women’s game is different to the men’s . As the risk of sounding like a dinosaur there isn’t a huge LGBT community in the men’s game ( this is conversation for anther time ) there is a huge one on the ladies game and let me tell you here and now I have no issue with a woman loving another woman though as most might I worry about the impact living and working with your partner but again who am I to judge ! Though it comes with risks and who knows what happens behind closed doors . It’s clear that Beth isn’t looking to leave ! So that all said what isn’t different is the economics of women’s and mens football. Transfers are paid and players are sold and no club ever wants to see any player leave on a free least of all one of their all time greats who has a good many years left in the game. So if you think Arsenal didn’t offer a contract to Viv your only kidding yourself , of course they did but Viv turned the contract down and decided she wanted to play regularly and given Arsenal payed a world record fee for another striker while Viv was injured, she took that to mean she wasn’t in the mangers plans but what choice did the manager have, you can’t play a whole season with one natural striker in the team. Professional football is a tough business and it is a business like it or not and there is no room for sentiment in business if you want the best successful. If you don’t to loose the soft side of what was the amateur game when ladies football was not taken seriously then you have to play by the rules of Professional Football and those rules are harsh but that’s why the best get paid . So pls don’t think women pro football is different to mens , it’s all about winning and money it’s just the ladies are more sensitive ( see the vid on Emma Hayes last press conference) though Katie McCabe would disagree I’m sure! ( if she was English and a lioness she would get far more credit) . So to end let me ask you the reader ..what is Viv transfer value ? Do you truly believe Arsenal would not want to sell here for that valuation instead of getting nothing as they will get as she joins City or Barca or whoever is lucky enough to sigh her .and will you all cheer her name when she scores the winner to beat us in the league next season ! Viv has made her decision and that’s her right and I respect her reasons because we all have the right to want to be cherished and happy and she obviously didn’t feel she was here so moved on and so as fans must we .

Well, where do I start? The trouble with this video is the same as many others. It picks on a subject, spins the information without any semblence of truth, and because there is no truth to offer, in the place of truth it uses inane inacuracies and unfounded suggestion to get clicks and views by offering utter rubbish. The person who made this video; (Sara Sarah) should be completely and utterly ashamed at using such rediculous spin and propaganda, and has proved beyond any shadow of a doubt that there is nothing of substance or truth to offer...! Sara Sarah, you made this video based on nothing but crap and nonsense, if you personally have ANY first hand (Provable) information then PROVE IT or SHUT UP...! Some of the , so called, personal accusations that you have made need in depth LEGAL scrutiny....!
