As an arsenal fan, the last two league games have been magnificent to watch. The champions league game could have marred it all, but they didn’t loose and every single thing that went wrong against Ajax was fixed for the derby game, which is very promising I like to imagine that viv isn’t competitive at all and couldn’t care less about who scores the most goals, but Beth cares more than anything and will lord it over viv if she wins.
They look comfortable with each other. I look forward to seeing the competition between the Lionesses and USWNT. 😺😺😺

One of the things about the viv and beth goal at Brighton is how well they know where the other person is. This isn't new of course, they've had some freaky on the pitch telepathy for years and seem to be able to see it each other on the pitch when no one else can. Like they've got a homing beacon on each other. I believe they are each other's highest assist provider since they joined in 2017. I'm sure now that their together it's gonna be even better but yea... at Brighton how the heck did Viv know exactly where Beth was going to be for that accurate back pass? Only them two! As an arsenal fan this is brilliant

I enjoyed the video, and Beth and Viv deserve a lot of respect for being so open about their relationship, because it isn't easy being gay; nobody ever gets any hate for being straight. We've just celebrated Pride weekend in Birmingham, which went well, but a couple of hours ago Sam Kerr posted a picture of herself with her girlfriend in London on Instagram, and the homophobic abuse she received is just awful.😔

Beth and Viv really push each other to be even more successful on the pitch. Dutch isn't a very easy language to learn, but at least Beth is able to understand some of it. Btw. Ajayis pronounced like Ayax with both a's like America. Against Ajax the defence was a little sloppy, but Arsenal can still fix it in the return match. Ajax has players like Victoria Pelova, Romée Leuchter and Sherida Spitse - all Dutch national team players.
Superb day at the Emirates, sunny London, 50,000 fans created a fantastic atmosphere, Katie McCabe, my favourite, is always a wonderful sight galloping down the wing, Viv's body language suggests she's not happy with her new role in the team, Beth is the superstar player now, goals, technical ability, and that bubbly northern character will make her one of the major figures in pushing women's football forward in the UK. Went with my two grand daughters, avid Arsenal fans, great time was had by all.
I’m not sold on Biv for a couple nickname. I mean, Mead/Miedema? Surely Mead-ema is a more fitting nom des copines. Love your work.

Also, does “nom des copines” work? I first thought it should be nom de deux, or nom d’amour. Nom des copines translates literally as “girlfriends name”. The others are “two name” and “love name”, respectively. Perhaps a more fluent French speaker could correct me? I’m a hack, at best.
