This is an arrangement of the Violin Concerto RV 310
FIREWORKS - dahinter verbirgt sich ein musikalisches Feuerwerk für 3 Trompeten und Orgel mit festlich, virtuoser Musik von Bach, Händel und Vivaldi u.a.. Aufgenommen wurde die CD in Japan mit Matthias Höfs ehemaligen Studenten Kenichi Tsujimoto (Solotrompeter Tokyo Philharmonic), Tomonori Sato (Solotrompeter Tokyo Symphony) und seinem Orgelbegleiter Christian Schmitt.

I'd go to say, because of that, he can be considered one of the best all-time. I think we owe him that consideration. If you listen to his playing very carefully, you will hear that he is one of the few brass players who can actually mimic singers quite accurately, especially with his micro-tempi changes within bars.

The kingdom of heaven awaits Vivaldi. He wrote, amongst others, too much music to be appreciated here in this world.
I am a great admirer of Matthias Hoefs, but this performance was one of his best. My compliments also to the organist. A superb fusion of two very different instruments.

Wow what incredible playing! I've been playing trumpet for 53 years and had the opportunity to listen to the best. Matthias Höfs is in the same league as Maurice Andre' and certainly one of the finest trumpet players of our time!

Hi Will, oh yes I have certainly heard of Wynton and had the pleasure of listening to him live three times. When it comes to playing jazz and explaining its history Wynton is super and such a gifted improviser! He is certainly one of the finest trumpet players in the world today!
The pipe organ player is also amazing to say the least. Well done gents.

Nicht "nach". Bin kein Deutscher, darum darf ich wohl sagen: Höfs ist m.E. auf dem gleichen Weltklasse Niveau wie einst M. André. Diese Virtuosität sowie die Reinheit des Tones wie auch der Intonation auf der hohen Trompete sind phantastisch in diesem Violinkonzert
Vivaldi Konzert RV 310 - bearbeitet für Trompete und Orgel - Musik die viele Menschen gerne hören und zu Herzen geht - lasset uns singen - spielen - tanzen und fröhlich sein - mit Musik und Liedern geht alles besser und macht uns das Leben schön und können zum Segen vieler Menschen werden - herzlichen Dank - alles Gute - - ich selber spiele seit meiner Jugendzeit heute noch gerne meine Mundharmonikas - habe Volkslieder und andere Lieder viele Jahre in verschiedenen Männer und gemischten Chöre mitgesungen - lernte in der Volkschule das Blockflötenspielen und spiele heute noch damit - auch spielte ich im örtlichen Posaunenchor meines Heimatdorfes Kirchenmusik - Volks und Weihnachtslieder mit der Posaune - selber singen und musizieren ist schön und bereitet Freude - darum singen und spielen wir um uns und andere Menschen zu erfreuen - - wo man singt und spielt da lassen wir uns gerne nieder - denn viele Menschen haben keine so schön harmonisch gut klingende Musik und Lieder -

Bravo, Messieurs Höfs et Schmitt. Du joli travail, avec de vrais instruments de surcroît. On attendait des héritiers de l'Ecole Française et ce sont les allemands qui ont repris le flambeau. Pas grave, c'est superbement joué et c'est cela qui compte.

Ladies and gentlemen, perhaps the best brass player to ever live. Yes, greater than Wynton Marsalis, greater than Rolf Smedvig, greater than Bud Herseth, and he's about even with Maurice Andre. I like to think Matthias Höfs and Maurice Andre are God's herald trumpeters, along with Alison Balsom.

Vivaldi è il più grande genio italiano della musica non solo barocca ma in senso assoluto. Solo un altro gigante italiano oltre a Vivaldi: Claudio Monteverdi
