At 5:46 you say it has 160mm brake disks. They are 180mm. Big difference- pay attention!

Great Review. Just purchased one of these last week. Let us know if you locate the replacement break pads.

Is it hard to change the inner tube in those big fat tires out on the road if you get a flat? That's what concerns me about these big fat tire e-bikes. I've changed motorcycle tires before; it's not easy, and that's what this looks like. All the bikes that are 750W and above have big fat tires. The tires also cost about 3X as much as say 20.125" tires.

Could you put a back seat on the rear rack and add a passenger?

I agree that they should develop a 1+kw mid-drive/ not necessarily folding :~)

Great review! My bike arrives this coming Monday! I love the way you extended the headlight, out in front of the front rack. Would appreciate the details. The hardware you used to attach to the rack? (and the link if there is one where you bought it). Did you also have to extend the wires with additional connector for the extension? I Thank in advance for your reply!

How water resistant is this bike compared to a lectric 3.0 step thru? And have you found replacement brake pads yet?You wouldn’t buy a car that you couldn’t replace the brake pads on.

You know you did really good on the review but you left out how well the front headlight works you left out the brake light how well it works and you left out the blinkers and you left out the horn there are a lot of bikes that don't come with them

Hey, rockin, please take time and explain what was bad about the bike. When did you buy it? Did the display go bad? Did the battery get broken from shock? Did the brakes leek the hydraulic? Any details are important. Thanks.

1st time I rode the bike 10/23 battery went dead after 25 miles, contacted Vitilan they claimed I didn't charge it right. So I recharged it and after 22 miles it went dead so they just kept screwing me around and after 2 months they claim the battery is getting older and won't last as long. They wanted me to buy a new battery! I used the bike 3 times and it needs a new battery. BS I offered to ship the battery back for them to test themselves THEY WON"T DO IT. So now I'm stuck with a bike I can use because now the battery gets to half way discharged and the bike shuts off message says battery is low. They will scew you around with BS until you give up. I.m willing to bet the batteries are NOT Samsung cells and NOT any where close to 20AH. I seen other reviews where 20ah U7 only went 22 miles till it was dead. A REAL 20ah battery on flat level roads would easily last 45-50 ALOT more of you pedaled. 2 years ago I bought a Polarna M4 750 16ah and it easily went 45-50 miles on the same roads. VITILAN is FULL OF CRAP and they KNOW IT. They will not get any more money from me. I also won't buy another ebike from any of these Chinese sellers. My advice to everyone is to buy a LECTRIC bike, at least they stand behind everything they sell and don't advertise BS claims. I'm putting this Vitilan U7 out for the junk man next week. End of August I'm ordering a new Lectric like I should of in the 1st place!

Good review but some things could be revised, for example the ratings for the brake pads. Also - you might want to use “really well”, versus “really good” in future reviews.

I would never by Chinese made. Their metals are not up to par strength wise compared to USA. Far inferior. They maybe cheap but cheap isn't always best.

You're going to have a tough time finding an e-bike that's NOT chinese made. Even if you do find a US made one it more than likely will be of mostly foreign/chinese components. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have a US made bike but they just don't exist for the most part.
