People criticize Damien for his vocals but I think he did an awesome job. VR is a hard band to cover especially when you take upon the row and lyrics of another singer.

He did a great job for sure. Damien is not as brutal as Glen but his growls are clearer.

of course and specifically the solo is very very hard to play

it will never be the same band without Dave. he wrote all the lyrics, drums, guitars, leads and bass. nobody can possibly fill that void.

Sad isn't it? I hate to say it but Dave was the backbone for this band, his solos were just unbelievable. Even the genre of his new band has grown on me.

I have now discovered my love of Chamber Music and Opera; along with Jazz, 60\70s rock, experimental music, and a tad of Hip-Hop I still get in (not as much as metal though), that makes it harder to stay up to date on Metal, especially death for I listen to other metals more. Actually the guitarist on their latest tour really was only 19 years old. i got to talk to him after the show for a bit, and finding out that piece of information about made me shit my pants. He executed every solo with great precision. Seemed like a real nice dude too. If you get on their myspace you can find some pictures of him with the band. He's a long brown haired dude, and their 19 year old drummer for the tour is the guy who has shortish brown hair that comes down to his eyes.

Actually, from what I read from an interview with the actual lead singer of the band, Glen Benton, he had the cross removed.

In the beginning of the video I was eating a bowl of cereal and in the end I end up eating the bowl but not the cereal

But for hardcore bands that predated "death", "speed" , or "Thrash" metal bands by a decade such as GBH, Discharge, Vice Squad, Exploited, Etc...Metal in the 80s was so slow , speed was unheard of... of yeah another thing you can thank punk for is stage diving..mosh pit antics, What were the metal heads doing beside bobbing their heads up and down?

I saw them recently on the 4th of July and Tony is the only member still in the band. They kept saying they're inviting a buncha member back into the band but I havent recognized the rest. I was looking forward to seeing this guy cause even though he looks goofy he did a better job than the guy fronting them now. Dave's not in the band and all they played were Icons of Evil songs it was bogus
