Visual Guide to Random Forests
Ғылым және технология
Random Forests are a widely used Machine Learning technique for both regression and classification. In this video, we show you how decision trees can be ensembled to create powerful predictive models.
Note: Some libraries randomize features at the split level rather than the tree level. This does not matter if we assume the trees are decision stumps, meaning there is only 1 split, or max depth = 1. In both cases, the goal is to limit the number of possible features in order to decorrelate the individual trees.

I watched 4 videos and read 5 articles to understand random forests, and this one really explained the advantages and how they work. 10/10.
When bagging's meaning was revealed as bootstrapping aggregating.. saw tons of tutorials, university materials and none of them expanded on the topic like that. Great video, thank you

It wouldn't disturb if the super silent voice audio was louder. And there seems to be some choppy filter which further makes it very hard to hear. Put my laptop to max volume but it is so much quieter than in any normal video.
The video effects are great. The content is great. The music is overpowering the whole effect, it feels like trying to read a book whilst the neighbors have a loud party going on.

Brilliant video! Thank you.
Simple explanation and amazing effects. Whenever I read textbook, I try to illustrate concepts as some images to remember it easily. You made this process super efficient with relative images and effects in this video. Thanks a lot!

I honestly only watched your video to understand what Random Forest (the post-rock group) might have had behind the idea of their name. I appreciate the effort you put into your video.
Such a clear and concise explanation plus lo-fi, as a bonus such a good teaching thank you!

Excellent video
Hi There! Great set of videos. The best explanation of decision trees and random forest on YT; I plan on going over other content as well. Just a quick one, are there any plans of releasing the Random Forest Coding tutorial referenced in the video (if already available can you point me to it)? Thanks again.
How on Earth you have so little views and subs with the best video on Random Forest on KZread?

Really well explained. Thank you! Anyway, I think you should put a baseline audio volume (idk what it's called) because while using the same volume on my device, some of your videos are like 5x louder and vice versa. Nevertheless, great content!

You said we train a bunch of decision trees [1:13]. In my understanding, with the same gain and impurity function the trees should produce the same output or are we varying the depth (i.e pruning) to differentiate these trees apart.
@Econoscent

Wrong. The video clearly explains that the training sample is switched up using bootstrapping, so different models see different training data. Further, the features themselves are randomly sampled for each model.
