Visiting volcanic natural pools along the north coast - Madeira Island Portugal | Ep. 17
In this episode we are on a day trip along the north coast to visit as many of the volcanic natural pools as possible.
We start of at Sao Vicente where we found the first natural pool tucked away behind a restaurant / hotel. It doesn't look like totally natural but it has sea water and was a good start into the day.

Our next stop is Seixal where we visit first "Praia do Porto do Seixal", which is a black sand beach, with it's own waterfall, surrounded by incredible landscape.
Just next to it is the "Clube Naval Do Seixal" which has a natural pool, a café and infrastructure which is free and publicly accessible.
We continue our drive westwards through Seixal, where we stopped at "Piscinas Naturais do Seixal", which are two natural pools directly next to each other. Were so impressed with the setting that we used the opportunity for a swim.
After this refreshing stop, we are finally on our way to "Porto Moniz", which is the best known natural pool on the north-west cost, with a short stop at the impressive "Ilhéus da Ribeira da Janela".
Once we get to "Porto Moniz", we spend a bit more time, chilling out in the café, swim in one of the natural pools and watch the waves rolling into the pools.
To end this day full of impressive impressions, we stop at "Praia da Calheta" which is the only white sand beach on Madeira, where we found "MANIFATTURA DI GELATO" located in the "Marina da Calheta" which has amazing Italian Pizza and home made ice cream.

For the sake of people and Portuguese Economy please do beforehand a test valid for travel within 24 hours,Portugal is a friendly country,and even if you upon arrival test done and confirmation come positive please be assure you will be taken good care,but first hand make sure you come with test clear to pop in Portugal,..

Hi, just found your channel. Great videos and as I live in Madeira I wanted just to correct you on just one thing, there's another artificial yellow sand beach and it's in Machico. I hope you visit it if you haven't already. I hope you enjoy your stay here at the island.

Totally agree! We try to avoid touristic places and go with recommendations from locals as much as we can. We have met really lovely people along the way of travelling through mainland Portugal and here on Madeira. Thank you for following our journey, correcting us and giving us great recommendations 👍 We also love to just get lost, discovered really beautiful places that way. If there are any non touristic places that you love, please let us know.

Lauza and Michael love your content considering I'm coming on Tuesdays for month to Madeira! Quick question is there anything I should bring with me beside good shoes go to Monutanis, flashlight for use in Laveidas. Like anything uncommon would I did not think, but you might already figure would helpful tho? Looking to more content enjoy your stay :)

👋 happy you love our videos. To be honest, we don’t have any specific equipment not even hiking shoes (just proper trainers). We just came back from a 7h hike and the only thing that we missed was a proper flashlight. We have just our phones with us which we use for filming, navigating etc. Thought the flashlight from the phone would be enough but it wasn’t 🤷♂️. A light jacket or hoody is good to have as it can quickly get windy and breeze in the mountains. Can’t think of anything else for now. Excited for you to be here for an entire month - Madeira is soo beautiful. Wish you a safe trip!
You should do captions on the parts of the videos where we are unable to hear you due to wind or other noise. Would love to hear what you have to say in those parts. Love your content by the way both my girlfriend and I have been enjoying your videos.

😂😂 once in the water it wasn’t cold at all. Just in the beginning which was probably more the wind than the water itself.
