Visiting The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse
Visiting Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum in Jupiter, Florida is an incredible experience. Climbing to the top of the lighthouse and taking in the views are not like any other you'll experience and learning about the history about the site as well. The lighthouse was lit in the 1860's and hasn't missed a night since... Special thanks to Gary in the video and the Loxahatchee River Historical Society for helping to keep this history alive and the amazing park and museum open for visitors to experience. I lived in Florida on the South East Coast for 16 years. I had a home in Jupiter for half that time. I really miss it. Jupiter is such a beautiful place to live. Especially if you love the water like I do.
The first time I went up in the Jupiter Lighthouse was on a Kindergarten trip in Jan. 1976. Walking on that catwalk scared the hell out of me then LOL. Shortly after that, they closed the Lighthouse to the public for many years. In '99, she got an upgrade on the stairs (same original stairs, just upgraded) plus a new paintjob inside and out. Last time I went up was in 2017, I took my nephew...the catwalk scared him like it did me initially. Lots of cool history with that ol' Lighthouse...I seem to recall, native America's had to be chased off the land during construction. They've done a lot since the '70's-there used to be a radio tower near her and an attachment antenna next to the catwalk.
Great that it is open to the public. When I lived in Jupiter it was closed to the public. Looks like it is being very well maintained.

It is very high. Don't beat up on yourself about being scared. I'm 63 years old and I don't like heights.
Hmm, interesting. You appear to be able to get to the top without the Hover Jade or a Wind Adept… You must have found a different entrance.
I'm an hour south of here. Been so hot to get out there but now that the weather is changing, going to get out there one of these weekends!

Perfect time to visit
I noticed how gingerly your feet approached the railing at the top. Understandable. LOL. I'm glad you had a great day to climb and view. The day we visited, a couple of years ago, a lightning storm approach and prevented us from climbing. Enjoyed the docent's talk.
I’m gonna guess you don’t need the Jupiter star and you aren’t going to fight any blue and red mages on top of it either?
😍👍
How long is it to climb up
